  1. Anyone else getting that mushroom feeling, about next season ?
  2. Screamer finish ahead of those 2, and we are nearly in the play-offs
  3. Well for Cov and Boro to be in the Elite League something would have to give on one side or the other. With Coventry apparently now threatening legal action, it could become an even greater mess than it already is. I would rule nothing In or out. I am not sure the BSPA would want to spend mega bucks on defending a legal action either. The longer this goes on, with no word from the Chapmans, the more i get the feeling the Club and the fans are being used. Buster is no fool, and its very rare for someone to make a monkey out of him. I do have a little concern. It was reported that Buster had spent 200k on the ground at Kings Lynn Football club, which is an amazing amount of money, on a council owned property, maybe, just maybe he needs to get some cash back into the coffers, and this deal was too good to turn down.
  4. I am very much for Elite League racing returning to Saddlebow. However, I would prefer it with Buster in charge, rather than some stop gap promoter running it on behalf of the BSPA, who had no feel for the Club, or indeed its supporters. We have to be competive, and not there to be used as just a filler.
  5. Maybe one person will part with some of his hard earned Sky deal money. After all 50% of something is better than 100% of nothing.
  6. Just seems strange that the BSPA have suddenly raised this issue since they have been left with only 7 declared teams for next season. If has rumoured the Sky deal goes down the tube if there are not at least 8 clubs running. I just feel if Coventry and P'Boro come back then the need for Kings Lynn is somewhat less. If Kings Lynn do join are they going to be left with riders that are surplus to everyone else's requirements, and maybe a Promoter who is sent in to do a holding job. Hardly a recipe for success.
  7. Hard, the other point is what damage could that year in the Elite do to Buster's long term business ? After Waggy;s last year in charge at Saddlebow, the Club was at an all time low. It took Buster a lot of time and hard work to build the business and the fan base back up. I am not so sure it would be as easy a 2nd time around.
  8. Thats not really here Im coming from. If there is a big carrot being dangled under the nose of Buster, as the BSPA are desperate for that one extra Club, will that Carrot still be on offer If P'Boro and Coventry toe the line and come back into the fold ?
  9. The worry I have is that Kings Lynn and Buster are being used in all of this. If P'boro and Coventry kiss and make up with the BSPA, where does that leave the Stars ? Will there still be a big golden egg for them to join the Elite League, or will be hanks Buster, we dont need you now. If the rumours are true, and I mean IF, then how are the riders Buster was hoping to sign for his Premier League side feel ? Will some now look to take other offers rather than wait around for what could be a maybe. We might end up getting shafted either way.
  10. If 100 people surveyed is good enough for Vernon Kay.
  11. If there is no Peterborough, would the fans not fancy seeing the likes Troy back ? Together with Bjerre senior
  12. Look at the positives, The BSPA now own all the riders from Weymouth.
  13. If Buster has been offered a kings ransom by for the BSPA to run Speedway at Saddlebow, would he not be crazy to turn it down ? The risk is all with them. He still gets all the income from the bar, food etc, plus a rental fee for what is now a tidy Stadium. Did he not do this before when Waggy and Griffths took it over ? If it fails he can still step in and take it back down to Premier League level. As Fans what have we got to lose ? If BSPA are desperate for a club to fill a space to keep the Sky money, it wont matter in the swing of things, if Kings Lynn is a loss maker. It just keeps top flight (?) Speedway alive and kicking. Terry Russell can maybe afford to lose a few quid on it, to keep his income from Sky
  14. You may call it short sighted ( or anything you wish) All i did was pose a question. You have been a great campaigner for Youth to be developed within the 3rd tier of British Speedway. My question was would your postion be compromised by looking for short term success to apease the fans , who may feel slightly agrieved by the drop in level for the Stoke team. You have now had to cross back to a stand alone club again, so maybe your principles will have to take a little bit of a back seat, in the interests of commercial success.
  15. I heard it is a very strong poss, that it will be Elite without Buster running it.

    hush hush for now.

  16. Maybe Buster has been made an offer he cant refuse ( I dont mean a Horse head in his bed )and someone/s else will be taking the Financial risk. Did you not enjoy the standard of the World Team Cup CTF, Ok it wont quite be at that level. For me the Premier league has gone vert stale at Kings Lynn, there has been a certain alck of Buzz about the place. JC, when he first came in was full of bright fresh new ideas, but that interest seems to have fallen away somewhat. I think the Speedway at Kings Lynn could do with freshing up. The sad thing about going Elite will be waving goodbye to Tomas, and missing out on local Derbys against the Witches.
  17. As Buster has always stated that he would not risk his money by going back up into the Elite league, could it be that that the BSPA will take over the running of Speedway at the Norfolk Arena ?
  18. This was posted on Tuesdays EDP website. http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/kings-lynn-stars/king_s_lynn_boss_relishes_ipswich_derby_test_1_733543 It would take a massive turn around in the space of 24 hours to see Lynn back amongst the Elite.
  19. I have one tiny little question with regard to Stoke 2011. Will there be a conflict of interests between Tatum and Vasey ? One is a big advocate of bringing young riders through and using the League as it is intended, a devolpment league. The other will surely want a winning team to keep the punters happy. Now I am not saying one is excluded at the expense of the other.
  20. Looks like a team to bankrupt any Club. 3 weeks ago we couldnt afford Doolan, now you are hoping we can afford Crump. Amazing
  21. Articles in both the EDP and Lynn News about Kings lynn facing their old enermy Ipswich,in print yesterday. If Kings Lynn are going to Elite, then there must have been a massive change since Monday. Plus Buster, having had his fingers burnt before at that level, has always stated Elite League Speedway will not come back to Saddlebow, while he is running the show.
  22. I would have thought that Chris Kerr is the biggest gimmie in the Premier League next season. 8 point rider on a 5.5 (ish) average. Thus he wont be cheap. With Doolan having been shown the door for (allegedly) wanting too much money, can Buster justify including him ?
  23. Just a little thought. Would Chris Louis not consider a return to racing at this lower level ? There's your No 1 sorted.
  24. The first signing Ipswich should make is a team manager in the mould of Roy Keane, someone who knows all about how to spend money to achieve 2nd tier mediocrity.
  25. Would Kings Lynn be that keen to allow their local rivals to use 2 of their assets ? Plus if Ipswich are potless where would they find the money to buy Doolan ?
