Our trouble came with Klint. I think many thought ( me included) the guy would be hitting around the 6.5/7 point average. sadly it never happened. That put us firmly on the backfoot. Bringing Howe did nothing to improve things. With all changes there is no gurantee that things will improve. I like what Buster is doing, with the 2 new imports. Give them a few Months in British Speedway and then sit back and reap the rewards next year.

Swc, Event Two, King's Lynn 15/7

I always take a drink into Cardiff. Its a good game to play, if they can find it they can have it. Next year they might need to wear gloves. -
King's Lynn V Isle Of Wight Weds 17th July @ 7.30pm

Thats No way to address Trees Why do fans always look for change ? Is it really to improve the team or just changing it for the sake of change. Buster has changed nearly half the team already. Leave well alone and watch it develop, ready for next season. NKI, Rory ( on a Low average) the 2 new guys, maybe throw young Lambert into the mix, a fit Mads and we could be onto something. Keep the faith

Its sad if JC has disappeared. He was very good on the PR side of the sport. His ideas gave the Sport at Lynn a big shot in the arm when it was most needed. Ok, He wasnt everyone's cup of tea, but I thought he brought a great deal to the party. Also I understand he is longer involved with the Football Club that the family owns in the Town.

Would you expect to work as a Policeman and buy ya own helmet ?

I still feel this season has got a bit left in it for us Stars fans. Ok, we might not make the play offs but I think the 2 latest signings will give some value for money as they get to GRIPS with Saddlebow. I saw in yesterday's EDP that Rob Lyon is now Co Promotor at Kings Lynn. Is JC still involved as not seen him around the place lately ?

It would seem Shadders you are about as popular as a fart in a space suit these days at Hoddesdon. Is it your Sparkling Personality that does it ?

King's Lynn V Mildenhall (nl) - 3rd July
semion replied to Mimmo's topic in National League Speedway
I am sure the lad will cope with whatever track condtions/size of track that is thrown at him. I do not get why people want to come up with negatives on what is a 15 year year old BRITISH lad with massive potenial. It is not something that comes along very often, surely as speedway fans we should be embracing it. -
If Lambert has mastered the track at Saddlebow, would it not benefit his development to have a small track as his home for next season ? I would very much like to see him at Lynn next season, but the boy and his family/backers have to do what is right for him.

King's Lynn V Mildenhall (nl) - 3rd July

For sure, I understand the criteria is different for the stand alone clubs, but surely you get more pleasure in watching an up and coming rider trying to make his way in the sport than perhaps a journeyman who has done his time but still gets a Buzz out of riding his bike. -
King's Lynn V Mildenhall (nl) - 3rd July
semion replied to Mimmo's topic in National League Speedway
Sure it matters to the riders. It breeds confidence to win races. I was meaning from a supporters point of view, or rather mine. I just see it as watching young riders progress at this level and see their development happen almost on a week to week basis. So matters not who wins the meeting. This level its not all about winning Speedway meetings. -
Kelvin would be ok he could wear a shewee

Win Lose or Draw, Just look forward to see another weeks devolpment for certain riders. Fully expect Blackbird to give lambert his bigget test around Saddlebow, so far. Weather forecast anyone ? -
I think its unfair to keep expecting Buster to pull rabbits out of a hat. The Guy has everything he could to keep us on track, fate appears to be very much against him. The only slight glimmer is if we can somehow stoumble our way into the play-offs, and then hope Mads is back, and also that the 2 new signings hit the road running. Unless of course the hate of fate has something else waiting for us.

Ipswich V Rye House (premier League) 20th June
semion replied to Shadders's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well at least as things stand we know who the pride of Anglia is. When Lynn dropped down to the Premier League they won many many pots, and since Ipswich dropped down you won what ? You are right about the Good friday double header, but wee have a closer derby now to fill that void. -
I dont see it that way. Lambert, for the past year, has been gaining as much Speedway experience as he can. To do this he has been forced to ride abroad. Do you blame him, or the system that pushes a young talent away from his home country to gain that experience ? He is doing as many Young Stars meeting as he can, without going back on committments he made elsewhere prior to when he was 15 ( permitted to ride NL). or are you suggesting he should let other people down to ride for Lynn ? I think he is doing the honourable thing and sticking to what committments he has agreed to.

By Guns for Hire I mean flying in the UK from their home countryand back out the same night and on to the next gig. At least with the 3 lads mentioned they have some kind of 'roots in the County. Maybe Lambert will go to the highst bidder, then again would he not attract a lot of sponsorship from within the County, Young Local lad, rides for his Local Club and all that ? Haza You seem to be in the know that he wont be riding for Lynn next season, come what may. So I will take you at your word on that one, or are you just guessing ?
-
Like you say Em, team Norfolk, certainly has a ring to it. Young British lads on the up, all starting off on low averages, could bring in the fans to support it. I enjoy Elite League racing in the main, but these days riders at this level are just " Guns for hire". These 3 lads could really bring back a feel good factor. I would guess companies would be falling over themselves to sponsor local based riders.
-
As Much as I enjoy Elite League racing at Saddlebow. Half of me would like to see Premier League racing return to Lynn next season, the reason ? Having watched the Young Stars again last night, there were 3 riders (Rose, Kerr and Lambert) on view for Lynn who could become big names at Premier League level next season. How good would it be to see that development happen each week at Saddlebow ? Thoughts anyone...
-
Bernie, all anyone can say at this stage is, the makings of a good rider are there for all to see. For a lad of 15, he is a very special talent. They dont come along that often, but when they do I fnd it very enjoyable to see those formative years. Who knows who will get the pleasure of the lad next season. He is young, he is talented, and he is BRITISH. Surely that has got to mean something to any true British Speedway fan.
-
Vog I wasn't suggesting Lambert should go Elite next season. Just opening up a debate to see if people think is already good enough. As for Wuffy didnt he guest quite a bit in the Elite while at Rye? Also think Darcy Ward rode for Belle Vue a few times in his one season in the Premier League

Buster did a load of watering and track grading between heats 9 & 10. Look at the time for heat 9. As for Reade on T/R no Stoke rider was in the same postcode as Lambert after the 2nd bend. He really is a special talent. Someone is going to ask this sooner later but is Lambert that far of being Elite League standard now? Let alone in 12 months time. Can I respectfully suggest Mr Tatum challenge some his aggression toward the riders he has employed. Lucky that Mallet had an off night otherwise this really could been worse.

Looking forward to seeing Lambert around Saddlebow again. Where is Mimmo with his preview ?
