Ashley Birks and which other 19 Brits ? Birks has the chance this season as Cook, Worrall and Lawson had in the Prem League. The cream always rises to the top
If we get more than one rider per season who makes it to top, then that would be some going. I think it is an exciting prospect and am looking forward to seeing how it all pans out over the next few years.
Malc is there any chance that Prem League racing will return to Stoke in short too medium term ? I well remember the strap line of Proud Potter when you took on the job at Stoke.
If we are lucky enough to get just one British rider out of the 20 who makes it through each season. Then British Speedway will be the winner. I admit its a massive IF. However I dont think we should blame the BSPA for attempting something new. Something needed to be done, and they have tried something. Lets give it 3 years, then judge.
Big Crowd, with a good few Potato heads, Does this call for Mike ( DB's lovechild) Bennett to make a guest appearance ? Can Buster entice him back for the evening.
I see on the website the admission is £16, which for a freindly warm up meeting is fair enough, but it says that a Grandstand seat is £25 !! Can that be right ? Sounds a bit expensive to me.
Matt Ford throwing a few quid at Scunthorpe cannot be compared to the amount of time, effort and indeed money that Buster has put into youth development at Kings Lynn. Did Ford not chance his arm with Bournemouth, look how long that lasted.
I guess the Class of 14 was always going to be a bit of a come down compared to the one of 13. Like Baggy, I am a little disappointed to see young Mountain not at Lynn, after coming through the MDL. Perhaps Dale could tell us why he couldnt give him the 6/7 race jacket.
Bigots like Nelson have no place in a family sport like Speedway. I wonder what the likes of Lindbach think of his comments. Let's hope he stays in Oz and we don't see him and his views back over here again.
