  1. Maybe Cov were buying Potential that sadly has never been realised.
  2. I would have thought Matt Ford would want to strengthen this team up. He is a born winner.
  3. Yet good enough to replace Doyle at Number one, for the League Champions, Or not as it turns out.
  4. I think any Genuine Speedway fan should feel for the Brummies. Havent we all ( Poole fans excluded of course) been there ? I remember at Lynn In Waggys last season there. Use to turn up in blind hope for just an odd win at Saddlebow. It really was a poor team, and all the fans knew it from the start.
  5. Surely all riders go through peaks and troughs during the course of a season. Maybe this is Ales's time for a down turn. I wonder if the fans would be calling for Mon The Fish and his 6 fingered salutes if he had been poor in the opening few meetings ? Another example from the Panthers camp of last year would be Norbert. He couldnt buy a point at the start of the season, got the sack, then was brought back and was a different rider.
  6. I think Panthers fans should be careful what they wish for. Ok, Dryml has not had the greatest of starts to the season. Then again if you wind the clock back 12 months to a certain Mr Hougaard, and look how he turned it around for you guys.
  7. Really surprised Somerset went with Morris in heat 15, been much better going with Procter.
  8. In all Sports fans do love 'one of their own' It is far easier to relate to a local lad, and hope he makes good. The team members who are just guns for hire are much harder to take to. This is the same in all Sports. The Norwich City Fans are loving the 2 Young Murphy boys from Downham, who have come through the ranks at Colney, than a lot of the Players from abroad who they know will only be at the Club until relegation comes ( which ever season that is). They then move on to the next club that offers the best terms. Its the same in Speedway. Hopefully Kerr, Rose and Lambert can be seen at Saddlebow for many years to come.
  9. Against a strong looking Lakeside and with Only 9 points from 15 by Ward and a poor night for their new signing the signs look ominous for the rest of the league. So thats one team in the play-offs who will the other 3 be ?
  10. Must be a dodgy batch of fuses someone supplied in the East of England
  11. Malc you must gutted. PnP day now on Sunday meaning you won't be able to take advantage of the £1 entrance fee for the Merrivale Model Village on the same day.
  12. Several years ago, Lynn v Poole, and Buster was doing the track ? I wonder where Huggy was that day. As I recall Huggy was doing the Lynn Track for many years and was got rid of during either of the first or second season in the Premier League.
  13. Did Buster also do the P'Boro track for shared event one year ? I seem to remember all were quite impressed with the race track that day. Buster is good, but Huggy was the King, for me. I wonder what happened to him.
  14. So after the BSPA have done their Sherlock Holmes impression what difference will it make to all the fans that have been shafted ? Forget Sherlock more Hetty Wainthropp
  15. With all the accusations and counter accusations I can sense lawyers getting involved. Be interesting to see who sues who. Lawyers could be rubbing their hands on this. No win, no fee ( or the new alternative).
  16. It's all very well for Harkness to offer an apology but what is he and the crest of the BSPA going to do to put matters right ? Let me take a wild stab in the dark, they will do **** all squared. Anyone running a business knows that the customer is King. The BSPA will carry in treating is all like the mug punters we are, while we let them.
  17. SCB, how many great race tracks have you seen him prepare for World Cup Qualifiers over the last ,X number of years and you let 2/3 heats of Speedway 6 years ago cloud your judgment. Amazing
  18. Mess at Swindon last year, mess at Cov this. Why oh why don't the BSPA leave it in the safe Hands of Buster Chapman at Kings Lynn, can anyone really argue with that ?
  19. Should be held at tracks who have total control over their own stadiums, like Kings Lynn or Scunthorpe. Is it any coincidence that the World Team is held at the same UK track every year ?
