Lakeside V Kings Lynn 19 May El A Sky Match

Tonight, the King’s Lynn ‘Roger Warnes Transport’ Stars will go into their top of the table clash against Lakeside without the services of Kenneth Bjerre and Lewis Rose. Bjerre, who broke his collarbone last month while racing against Leicester at the Norfolk Arena, is still feeling the effects of the injury and requires more time to recover. The Stars will use rider replacement for tonight’s meeting. Reserve Rose also misses the meeting having suffered a back injury while racing at Newcastle on Sunday. The Young Brit is in need of a few days rest and it is hoped that he will take his place in the team on Thursday against Poole at the Norfolk Arena. Young Stars rider Darren Mallett steps up to the senior team to cover for Rose. Lakeside Hammers 1. Peter Karlsson, 2. Richard Lawson, 3. Davey Watt , 4. Lewis Bridger, 5. Mikkel Bech, 6. Ben Morley, 7. Adam Ellis King’s Lynn Stars 1. Niels-Kristian Iversen, 2. Nicklas Porsing, 3. Rory Schlein, 4. Robert Lambert, 5. Kenneth Bjerre R/R, 6. Darren Mallett (G), 7. Lewis Kerr Taken from the Stars website. Sounds like they are hopeful of Rose being ok for Thursday, but reading between the lines not so for KB, and a Guest will be in his place. Who ? -

Strange Robs comments about not being able to get a Guest in. Kenny did his collar bone 3 weeks back. Unless Rob meant he couldnt get a guest in on the money Buster was prepared to pay. -

Kings Lynn Stars V Poole Pirates Thursday 22nd May
semion replied to semion's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I fully expect Poole to take this one. Lynn have not been in top form on their own track so far this season, and have rode their luck. I fully expect a full strength Poole side v a patched up or not fully fit Lynn side to go the way of the visitors. -

Will Bjerre and Rose be fit for Lynn, If not who should we be looking to pull in ? Will Ward be back for Poole, or will Holder continue, maybe even a new signing ? Most importantly How long will it be before SS Comes out with usual BS on theme of Lynn should win this one easily etc ? Lynn 44 Poole 46

Going with R/R tells you everything you need to know. We are expecting to get beat and its just a cost saving exercise. No point in throwing money at a guest when you know you are gonna get one stuck into you. Looking forward to Thursday. -
I wonder how long it will be before Wilson is offered a return to the Premier League. Far to good for this level.

Be a big call from Rob Lyon whether to include Kenny if he declares himself fit. Rob has to do what is best for the team not what is best for KB -

I would suggest it has to be a rider who is based in the UK. I think KB should give it a couple of more weeks. Shame then if he has to miss the Poole meeting. Can see Batch getting the number 5 slot for us tomorrow night. -
It's not the winning but the taking part. Well for most of the time I have watched Lynn it's been clike that lol. Low expectation levels are not a bad thing. We haven't been disappointed

GRW looks like we were both wrong lol. I remember the Year of Simmo Betts Cole, didn't think Crump was there all season. Who was the 7th team Member. Didn't Cole break his leg that year as well ? I think it was more a case of me being incorrect rather than wrong GRW just checked it out and Lee made his debut in 75. The same season as Lynn started with Messrs Middleton, Nygren and Hedge. Looks like one of us was right after all. -
Hows about Newman, Garrity, Keer, Rose, Worrall, to name but a few more Gater. Just for balance you understand.

You will be a handy sub if My Little Pony ever comes to St Georges in Yarmouth Malcolm.

SL things have changed a little since the days when you went to speedway. No cinders now, and no Japs. Plus of course the main change is that Happiness is no longer 40-38 -

Not a matter of faith. I seem to recall Rob Lyon saying in previous years he never goes there with too much hope. I guess all teams have a track that is not for them. I would suggest ours is coming up Monday. If we can keep it to 10/12 would be ok for us. Anything better would be something else. Is it on Sky/Wiziwig or Bet365 ? is KB riding then ? -

Thats True. Lynn have had a lot of famine years. I dont really think the fans have ever expected to win things in the top League of British Speedway. I well remember turning up to see over hill Oily Nygren and Trevor Hedge riding for Lynn, along with Cas Middleton. What a shocking team that was. I think that was the year a certain 16 year old turned up as a double up rider with Boston. So the whole year wasnt a complete wash out. -

The Big question is, How many will lakeside turn us over by. -
You sure you aint being telling us Porkies ?
-
You sure Gater ? You aint being pulling our plonkers and dont you even go the meetings, have you ?
-
So you wouldnt have Sky involved in Speedway GRW, do you think that would bring the crowds flocking back and the gate Money would make up for what a Promotor would lose from Sky ? Plus all the spins offs.
