  1. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the racing was tonight. Not top notch but perfectly watchable. All credit to Buster in turning a complete mess into something that looked like a speedway track. I think a lesser tracks man would have given it up as a bad job. All credit to Poole tonight. They never jacked it in at any point and just wouldn't lie down. Well worth their point. Lynn had 4 riders performing and 2 under performing. Darren Mallet did what was expected of him. I don't think anything much can be read into tonight's match as a form guide. Fair result.
  2. Buster will certainly sleep well tonight with the amount of effort he is putting in. All credit to him.
  3. I don't think it's gonna be pretty early doors. Thanks for the info Star Lady
  4. Buster working his Conkers off trying to get the track in some state to ride. Big Queue of people waiting get in apparently. Plenty of time as this won't start at 7.45
  5. Thank You Jim Bacon Seriously thats a great help for us out of Towners. The encouragement is there to travel.
  6. None so far 12 miles away.... anyone in Lynn able to give us an update ?
  7. Good On ya Points. I will leave my decision until the last moment. Im not wasting £20 on fuel
  8. Looking at the Weather forecast it says the rain should hit Lynn around 1 O'Clock and then again at 7 O'clock. I guess it will depend on how much we get. Will Buster still open the gates at the normal time or wait and see ?
  9. Just think how boring it is gonna be IF Poole dont make the play-offs. Like you I think they will be in the shake up when the it gets to the main part of the season.
  10. Ok own up who opened the can of CS gas amongst the Poole fans at Wimborne Road tonight, after heat 15 lol
  11. As i have confirmed that I think we will win the league can I take it that you now feel your assumptions are wrong ? Its a common theme. As gesture of goodwill to yourself, I will allow you to have the last word, as it seems you like that.
  12. There you go again GRW, putting words in my mouth. I dont need any help, but thanks anyway. Do I think we will be top of the League, yeah I do. Will we win the play-offs ? Lap of the gods. June to October, loads can happen.
  13. Poor and less than impressive do not have the same meaning, well apart to you. I am glad you enjoy your Speedway, come what may. I am pleased for you. I agree with you it is a good to be with the right people when watching a meeting, but surely we all want to see exciting racing. If you can get excited by gate and go speedway, then fair play, if thats what floats your boat. Strange ? what that not everyone shares the same opinion as you. Yeah, real strange.
  14. I support the team by turning up most weeks, and have done for years even when the team we have put out hasnt been all that. I must have missed the part in my post where I used the word POOR. Please do not quote words i havent used. Like you say each home meeting there has been at least one home rider who has not performed. Will tomorrow be any different, if so what leads you to that conclusion ? I truely think tomorrow night will be too close to call, and like Baggy has said it wouldnt surprise me if Poole came out on top. I am hoping for a good nights Speedway entertainment and the right result for Lynn...In that order. Maybe you have a different opinion, which of course you are fully entitled to.
  15. I think you are missing the point. When you look at our home form so far this season, its been less than impressive. teams who I thought wouldnt not cause us a problem have. Poole, for me are the best team we will face this season, if anyone should turn us over at home, then Poole for my money will be that team. For balance I agree 100% with that this is the best line-up we have had since we returned to the Elite League. As I said previous Speedway is not all about winning for me. Yes its good to win, but what I want is good competive racing. A few years back the fans at Lynn were getting p'eed off when we were taking teams to the cleaners and running up 60 plus scores every home meet. People were wishing for Lynn riders to miss the gate so at least they would see some form of racing. If lynn wanted a massive home track advantage, then Im sure Buster could make that happen, but the truth is we want a race track where all riders can turn up and have a go.
  16. GRW. I just hope its a great nights speedway, win lose or draw. Give me entertainment everytime. The reason I am always unsure about The Stars at home, is because of the word HOME. Saddlebow ( Norfolk Arena) I honestly beleive is the fairest track in this Country for any true Speedway rider. Ok, It can be a bit of sod for anyone learning their trade but for the true professionals this is the sort of track they like to ride on. The Poole side tomorrow night is full of riders who should love it. We have never enjoyed any kind of home track advantage at this level.
  17. Poole are the team who have been there and done it before. If we are lucky enough to get to the play offs and meet them we can but hope it is one of their choking season's, for which are well known.
  18. You have to feel for Mick Horton he sure must have walked under some ladders this season.
  19. I think the teams look a real even match up. Little to no home track advantage for Lynn. All down to who performs on the night. Could Middlos motivational skills be the difference?
  20. Refs should have the power to fine riders if they think they are guilty of simulation. I would guess that might put a stop to it.
