Midland you are all heart.... iain so if you are just there to be entertained by the racing , what do you do for the other 90% of your time at a Track ? Or shouldnt I ask.

Thats when a true Pro like Bennett really earned his corn. He would be onto it straight away. Rider interviews, managers Interviews, any stray rider there who turned up to watch. I guess this new guy will learn, at some point. No one around me was moaning about the delay, people were just generally chatting and socialising. All part of Speedway for many.

The break gave me a chance to catch up with with a good few people who are in the same stand as me. Try it, its called socialising. It makes the time go way real quick. Like others have said the Riders health is the main ( if not the only) priority. Last week we had to wait until 8.30 for the first race. People Understood it was either that or no racing.

I guess its being so cheerful that keeps you going.

Thought it was an OK meeting. The nasty looking crash Involving Mallet and Sarjgent kind of put a damper on things. ( Hope both riders will be up and about soon). Kerr and Porsing were the stand out riders for me. Porsing is really now comign to the party, and Lambert seems to get better each week. Is it me or have the last 2 meetings ( on a Thursday) attracted bigger crowds than we noramlly get ( On a wednesday) ? It could of course because Lynn are riding high in the League or it could be that Cov and Poole are attractive visitors. Then again the weather on each Thursday has been poor.

I think Ward would have become a a top rider, wherever he had gone, even Birmingham

There was times when It was expected for Lynn to Hit high 50's plus. A lot of away team Reserves use to come to Saddlebow and had difficulty even turning the bike. We saw some top riders develop. Batch & Ward to name but 2. Edinburgh Kindly let us have Nermark on a 6.5 point average one season, we had a tidy team that year.

I enjoyed our Years in the Premeier League, by and large, the first and the last were maybe the least entertaining.

I am sure there will be many twists and turns between now the season's finale. For now, I just want to savour last nights victory. Like many have said Lynn have been around the top flight of British Speedway for many years and never really threatened to win it ( apart from the year of Crump & Adams). I dont think any Lynn fans are getting ahead of themselves about winning the play-offs. Objective One is to make the play-offs. Then lets see what our chances are from there. If we win the whole thing, great it will be a fantastic acheivement. If we dont, then so be it. At least we will have had a bloody good season. I would Love to see a guy like Buster Chapman win the whole thing. He has put his heart and soul ( not to mention hard cash) Into Kings Lynn Speedway. How fitting it would be to see all that effort finally rewarded. Ok, that might be considered as Blowing smoke up his a55 a bit, but would anyone truely deny that the guy is fully deserving of such success ?

At Least he wont need the wheelbarrow now to get them up the garden path.

Or They Could employ Buster as Track Advisor, so he can put Matty on the right track to getting it right.

Matty is the past master at pulling Rabbits out of the hat. He will have something up his sleeve. Will he make changes this week or next. He won't let the grass grow. Who do the Poole fans think will be the on his bike ?
