King's Lynn Stars V Lakeside Hammers 10/07/14
semion replied to Bagpuss's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Lyon is hoping Rose will have recovered for Thursday. Lynn to put those recent 2 away defeats very much behind them and stick one into Lakeside. According to Rob Lyon in todays EDP a win on Thursday more or less oputs us in the play-offs. 20 points plus -

I guess winning the League gives that club the prestige of representing Britain in Europe. No don't laugh -
Trees, if we are good enough we will if not we won't. Have a bit more faith in Rob and Buster. They have steered the ship pretty damn well so far this season

Bjerre is not a rider who returns to his best form quickly. At the start of last season with P'Boro he was way short of where he needed to be, but his form did return, eventually. I never though when he came back to Lynn that he was going hit the high spots straight away. In truth I thought he would be producing bigger scores by now, but I have the faith he will comeback to his best, or at least pretty damn close. IF, Lynn did look to replace him who is out there, who could fit in the rest of the British season ? Or would Lynn fans be happy to have a new rider on who would be very hit and miss over dates. Plus whoever came in would no doubt want to name their price for doing so. For me, I'd prefer to stick with the devil we know. If we win it, great. If we don't, well we gave it a good go

I hope we stick with same 7, barring injuries of course. Win as a team lose as a team. If we come up short, come the play-offs then so be it

I don't get it Star Lady. You shack all the way down to Sussex, hand over £17 to watch Speedway on a trick track. Yet, you can't go 2 miles up the road hand over a mere £16 to watch the same thing on one of the best tracks in the Country. It must be a female thing lol -

Lol love the pic. All teams go through a rough patch. I am hoping this is Lynn's. Its how quickly you kick on and get through that rough patch and get back on track ( no pun intended) I. Am sure Rob n Buster will soon have em back at it -
I don't think either party came out of it with to much credit. There seemed a lot of half truths from both sides. If the BSPA could pull the plug on any promotion over just 8.5k then they could be visiting a track near you at anytime. I wrongly thought the bond was around the 50k mark. Maybe the BSPA should up the 8.5k amount as it does seen rather inadequate in this day and age. I guess all will be revealed if Mole is the new owner of Birmingham at the start of 2015. Amazing he offered 5k for the business without knowing what the debt actually was.

The point of it all is come the end of the season 2 clubs will get a big crowd each whole 2 other clubs will get 2 big crowds. Don't clubs out the prices up for the play-offs ? That's the way to reward fans for supporting their club all through the season. It's all about money first money 2nd and money 3rd -

Marc Owen tonight Let's PRAY he can notch a couple. All this talk about the team finishing top should be champs only happens in Sport. Speedway is in the entertainment business that's why we have such things as jokers and Guests. It's not a what I would call a serious Sport -

Maybe finishing top should be rewarded with a cash bonus. No point in being awarded a meaningless trophy -

Great win for Robins just shows if you are not fully on ya game you will get turned over. Lynn couldn't match Swindons 2nd string strength and that's all it takes -
