  1. Don't see Lambert as a Lee, he was a one off and not seen anything as good as he was at 16. The boy can't gate, in Speedway of course that is a massive issue. Will that part come ? Who knows. If it does then Lynn will have a special talent on their hands, if not then maybe more a Chris Harris type, who has to do it all the hard way.
  2. Current World Champ Tai Woffiden was riding where at the age of 16 ? IF, and its a blooming big IF, Lambert could trap at least level with the other riders, on a consistent basis then he would have an average way ahead of where he currently is. Will he be able to trap ? Who knows.
  3. Riders dont all 'mature' at the same rate of knots. Robert Lambert is on a massive learning curve, and I am sure will benefit greatly from his first sighter at this level. The boy is doing a 2nd string job for the team. The 2 areas that will stop Lynn going beyond the play-off semi's are of course Porsing and Rory. Lynn can afford to carry one rider in a meeting against a top team but cannot afford to carry two. if Rose is fit for the semi, then IMHO we have 5 riders who will do their jobs, the 2 worry's are The 2 above. If Rob can get them fired up for that one night (home meeting ) then we have every chance of going further. IF ( big word) we do make the play-off final, thern for me it will be all down to which team performs on the 2 gven nights. I look back to earlier in the season when the side was untouchable, ( was it 14 on the trot ?) If Rob can get them back to that level then it will be very much game on, If not, then hey! we have had a great season anyway.
  4. Maybe we could get Benji Compton in as a guest If Lewis R is going to be missing for any period of time is Lambert lower than him on he list ?
  5. Would Like to see Porsing return to the form he was displaying a few weeks back. I Think he is the key to Lynns chances of making the play-off final.
  6. With some of the top riders already suffering from Burnout, I wonder how they feel about having another fixture being thrown into their schedule ? Can see one or two sick notes coming in for this one. I am not convinced that the riders or the fans have that much interest in this one now. So I guess it is just a money spinner to boast the coffers of the BSPA. What happened to the idea of getting non Elite League riders to join in this ? Or was it a case that none of them fancied it ?
  7. Lynn need a real boast that comes with a good performance and big victory. The Stars have been through their down period, now is the time to kick start the season again in readiness for the play-offs. Then again if we aint good enough to do, then so be it, but lets make a real fist of it.
  8. After Birmingham Speedway, they should have invested in a Brewery.
  9. Poole are giving experience to plenty of British riders.
  10. Was surprised, for commercial reason, that an interval wasn't called at the end of heat 12
  11. Despite us getting a good dicking last night, I really think if these 2 teams meet in the play-off it could well be a lot different. Niels, KB and the Reserves all did their job. Porsing had a poor night, as did Rory. Lambert also wasnt at his best. Poole were on fire last night, and they have run into top form. It begs the question will they have peaked to soon ? The same could be said of Lynn have the peaked or like most teams in most sports. Are they just going through a little rough patch and will be looking to come through it and out the other side, before the they meet again ? I firmly believe Lynn have one big advantage, that they havent had the need to utilise, so far, this season. having said all of that lets not forget this is not just about Lynn & Poole. there will be 2 other teams looking to hit top form at just the right times in the play-offs. They say a week in politics is a long time, so a lot can happen in 6 weeks of Speedway. For example Poole could have changed their number 7 another 4 times.
  12. If Matt Fraud has pulled a stroke, is he the one to blame or should the blame lay firmly at the door of those who allow him to pull the stroke ?
  13. Traffic lights might have helped towards the delay
  14. Great meeting. Heat 13 is one of the best races I have seen in years. Lynn bossed the early heats, but Poole hit back to deservedly win the meeting comfortably. Can't see Poole seeing that track again this season. They were electric out of the gate.
  15. All done and dusted then SL ? Bit of natural watering never did any harm.
  16. Didnt this happen last time Poole were in Town ? I seem to remember Buster had to rip the whole track up and start again. The meeting started about 8.30
  17. Any weather updates. Persisting down here, 10 miles away. Where is Micheal Hunt ( Starlady) when you need him/her ? Nothing to do with the moustache you understand.
  18. I was hoping P'boro had signed Jim Mcdonald, so i was. Amazing its taken all these weeks to change the team, so it is.
  19. Preview of tonights meet in the EDP http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/kings-lynn-stars/elite_league_top_two_king_s_lynn_stars_and_poole_pirates_ready_to_lock_horns_at_norfolk_arena_1_3725188 I thought Poole now have 3 ex Lynn riders in their ranks.
  20. Win, Lose or draw, lets hope its a good nights entertainment. To me thats it all it should be about. Its when it hits the business end of the season thats when it becomes all about results. 45-45 Darcy to go through the card.
  21. So it was Star Lady's typo. Lol. I think Bruce had an E/F when on a 5-1 with TT. It's been a while since Buster has produced one like that!!
