I'd hazard a guess it is 4.94. His 17 fixtures from this year (Ave 5.28), plus his last 3 from 2019 (from which he only scored 2 points). http://www.gbspeedway.com/2021/teamstats.php?mc1=s&mc2=ta&mc3=av&mc4=Birmingham Brummies&team=Birmingham Brummies&league=B&comp=CMA&avtype=av

Oxford Cheetahs 2022
arnieg replied to old bob at herne bay's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If I was an Oxford fan I'd be hoping it is not true. I'd want a viable operation that stands a decent chance of long term sucess and I fear that running in the PL would not provide that. -
Leicester Lions 2022 Line up
arnieg replied to FishersGate's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Without a doubt watching JP was one of the highlights of the season for me. Would be a welcome addition if the rumour is true. -
And equally bizarrely it means Leicester finish bottom despite being unbeaten at home. After seeing the Colts lacklustre performance at Leicester I didn't expect last night's result. On Saturday only Coles and Harry McGurk impressed, but at Central Park it was good solid team performance. JPB was noticeably sharper and more competitive while Sam Woolley picked up some vital points (and featured in one of the season's best races when pipped the line by Vinnie Foord).

Zaine scored at least paid 4 in every one of his last 16 meetings. Pretty solid for a reserve. But it would be good to have Mountain back. -
That is an extraordinary find. I'm very grateful to you for sharing it with me.

arnieg replied to steve roberts's topic in Years Gone By
I can give you four by going abroad: Anton Jansson currently rides for Smederna youth team His father Jimmy is Smederna team manager, and a former Smederna rider Grand father Bo (and Great uncle Tommy) rode for Smederna in the 70s And Great Grandfather (and world finalist) Joel was a Smederna rider in the 50s.- 1 reply

I can see this happening. Particularly if Brum fold. Would mean no Danes in the Poole team and possibly a couple of off night home matches against Dane heavy opponents but should be workable.

I can think of 3 brothers who all rode for Long Eaton I can think of 3 brothers who all rode for Oxford I can think of 3 brothers who all rode for Mildenhall And it's the same 3 brothers (Although in 2 cases the records list a single appearance by one of the trio)

National League 2021 - has it been abandoned?
arnieg replied to old bob at herne bay's topic in National League Speedway
What you say about Woffy, Lambert and Bewley is true (and you can add that much of British champion Adam Ellis' formative experience was on French grasstrack). BUT To survive British speedway needs to produce its own riders. The NDL plays a vital role in ensuring that we have the second strings of the future. Without the NDL to provide opportunities to learn would riders like Paul Starke, Danyon Hume, Alfie Bowtell and Simon Lambert still be in the sport? -
Yes Doyle had a truly awful season, only 4th in Ekstraliga averages.

2010 Buxton v Newport. 1st leg rained off (29th Oct) so 2nd leg at Buxton (31 Oct) became the deciding match.

National League 2021 - has it been abandoned?
arnieg replied to old bob at herne bay's topic in National League Speedway
The Armadale v Mildy fixture has now got a date (23rd Sat afternoon double header with Poole in Cup final) With Leicester's senior season now done I imagine we'll soon get a date for the remaining matches (my guess - a double header on 24th or 30th) -
GB finished 15 points ahead of Australia. Even if Kai Ward had ridden he'd have scored 4 points (both Brennan's races were against a single Swede). That would still have allowed us to squeeze into the semis by a mere 11 points. But you can't fault Tom Brennan, and he certainly delivered under pressure in his Sunday ride, and like you I am underwhelmed by the speedwaygb coverage of our victory.

Team Rapid in Allsvenskan and Varde in DSL were also on his 2021 schedule. Someone said after today he deserved a British contract. My thought is he must have done something terrible to 'deserve' being stuck in British speedway

All a long time ago though. The most recent November meeting is over 290 years ago: 1 Nov 2000 King's Lynn Craven Shield
