  1. Replacing the burgers with a salad van are we?
  2. Berntzon looked out of his depth in last year's GPs, but looks much improved this year, both in Sweden and tonight. He's clearly learnt from 2021. Similarly even if Adam does struggle this season he will learn from the experience and be back next year but more competitive.
  3. I think Oxford Conference/NDL team comes in at six too: Kids Acadamy Cubs Lions Cheetahs & Chargers
  4. Those look like June averages. Try 9.26/7.09/6.96/6.64/5.51/5.00/2.17
  5. Given the current race format optimum line-up is a strong top 2, four solid middle order riders and a reserve on a minimum average (hopefully one capable of improving).
  6. But with the best will in the world it can still be a time consuming process.
  7. 18 weeks from granting of planning consent.
  8. Mason era, and yes I got it sorted but it was an unwarranted hassle.
  9. I got a ticket for parking more than 4 hours, so I wouldn't rely on it
  10. Just to point out that like Leicester there's a 4 hour limit on the One Stop car park.
  11. 7.1.1 Under 16 - 23 days 16-19 - 12 days 20+ - 9 days
  12. Great news, but there are clearly a number of hurdles to jump (notably planning and funding) before we can witness tapes rising on a new era in 2023.
  13. So where does Kyle go (He fits at Redcar for the next 48 hours before new averages come into force). Need some more Kent riders, maybe we could entice Ben Morley or Jake Mulford in at no 7.
  14. Moving the floodlights would have. But it would have been too expensive so they were left in place. That cost Denny Pyeatt his life and it was only after Craig Featherby hit a lamp standard at Peterborough that the safety standards were changed for the better.
  15. You should offer to contribute to http://speedwayplus.com/ Or the Friends of Speedway publication 'The Voice'
  16. I'd suggest that by 1992 Per Jonsson was the world's top rider. He certainly wasn't in 1990 but from 92-94 he was there or there abouts.
  17. Plus you get dizzy. It's better at larger tracks (Long Eaton 25+ years ago was my first), but I am inclined to agree.
  18. Comes up on Wed 29th at 6.10pm when I looked for it
  19. Pretty sure I went to Brough in 1984. They finished bottom of British League after an ill-advised elevation.
  20. I'm guessing Rob may have ghosted the Schroek and/or Courtney pieces, but the others all come from real contributors. I think the OP does have a point, four of the articles in the front half of the programme do cover similar ground (the exception being Rob's interview with Luke Killeen), but the back half contains no less than six original and distinctive articles, including a particularly punchy piece from Alan Bates.
  21. Three of whom are riding in the CL this season (Clegg, Sarjeant, Shanes) - a pretty good hit rate
  22. So nearly Berwick appearances 11 Guest appearances 10 http://www.gbspeedway.com/2022/ridercareer.php?mc1=s&mc2=rc&mc3=x&mc4=x&name=Chris Harris
  23. Because British speedway needs a supply of talented young riders, and few tracks have the capacity to provide significant track time to youngsters. A few weeks ago it was a real pleasure to see Ben Trigger riding against Leicester and witness his progress. It's good for the sport
