Nah, they are just extending the doubling up rule. When Oxo and Berwick meet the away team gets a guest.

See my post above. I compared the GSAs of 24 riders whose official average in both leagues includes at least 12 2021 matches and came out at 1.23. Only 4 riders had a ratio in excess of 1.5 ( these are your bargain signings in the PL) - Riss, Allen, Batchelor, St Worrall But 4 riders had a ratio of under 1.1 - Etheridge, Nicol, Toft and Rowe. These are the riders that Championship teams should be fighting to sign.

Logic would dictate that the conversion factor should be adjusted to 1.25 (or thereabouts) to reflect the reality of the differences between the leagues.

Polish Extraleague Signings 2022
arnieg replied to Najjer's topic in International World of Speedway
Isn't this the same as 2007 to 2011, a system that 'died of embarrassment' when Leszno lost both legs of their play-off 1st round but still made it to the grand final -
National League 2021 - has it been abandoned?
arnieg replied to old bob at herne bay's topic in National League Speedway
Well it looks like it will be incomplete as Kent v Armadale is off with no plans for rearrangement. -
I'd hazard a guess it is 4.94. His 17 fixtures from this year (Ave 5.28), plus his last 3 from 2019 (from which he only scored 2 points). http://www.gbspeedway.com/2021/teamstats.php?mc1=s&mc2=ta&mc3=av&mc4=Birmingham Brummies&team=Birmingham Brummies&league=B&comp=CMA&avtype=av

Oxford Cheetahs 2022
arnieg replied to old bob at herne bay's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If I was an Oxford fan I'd be hoping it is not true. I'd want a viable operation that stands a decent chance of long term sucess and I fear that running in the PL would not provide that. -
Leicester Lions 2022 Line up
arnieg replied to FishersGate's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Without a doubt watching JP was one of the highlights of the season for me. Would be a welcome addition if the rumour is true. -
And equally bizarrely it means Leicester finish bottom despite being unbeaten at home. After seeing the Colts lacklustre performance at Leicester I didn't expect last night's result. On Saturday only Coles and Harry McGurk impressed, but at Central Park it was good solid team performance. JPB was noticeably sharper and more competitive while Sam Woolley picked up some vital points (and featured in one of the season's best races when pipped the line by Vinnie Foord).

Zaine scored at least paid 4 in every one of his last 16 meetings. Pretty solid for a reserve. But it would be good to have Mountain back. -
Teesside Silver Helmet
arnieg replied to Janice Jackson's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Nope, and they didn't use fastest times as a tie breaker(as that would have put Riss ahead of Allen). So my guess is lots were drawn. -
That is an extraordinary find. I'm very grateful to you for sharing it with me.

arnieg replied to steve roberts's topic in Years Gone By
I can give you four by going abroad: Anton Jansson currently rides for Smederna youth team His father Jimmy is Smederna team manager, and a former Smederna rider Grand father Bo (and Great uncle Tommy) rode for Smederna in the 70s And Great Grandfather (and world finalist) Joel was a Smederna rider in the 50s.- 1 reply

I can see this happening. Particularly if Brum fold. Would mean no Danes in the Poole team and possibly a couple of off night home matches against Dane heavy opponents but should be workable.

I can think of 3 brothers who all rode for Long Eaton I can think of 3 brothers who all rode for Oxford I can think of 3 brothers who all rode for Mildenhall And it's the same 3 brothers (Although in 2 cases the records list a single appearance by one of the trio)
