  1. Add in a few 'occasional' riders and your figures were pretty much spot on the 2002 numbers.
  2. That's true (and the odd Aussie too). Although even in 2012 the top 85cc rider in Denmark was ... Max Fricke
  3. quick look at my records - number of regular (approx > one third of fixtures ridden) 85cc riders
  4. New member on SOKKAR (Supporters of Kent Kings & Royals) yesterday: Connor King Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
  5. They are definitely self employed. (I'm an a accountant specialising in tax) and I know people who sort out speedway riders tax affairs.
  6. There plenty of industries where it is common to place restrictions of self-employed sub-contractors. I don't think Bosman would help any rider seeking to challenge the Polish rules.
  7. Would have to be Kent all the other Southern teams seem well fixed up at reserve. I note Jody Scott's riding again, could he return to Oxford's seven freeing up Aaran (14 points on his last visit) Butcher to go to Plymouth?
  8. So Clegg is too old at 25 but Aussie Keleher at 29 is fine?
  9. So given the tremendous progress that's been made thoughts must be turning to getting licensed and operating. Is it still NL for 2023? There was a suggestion there might be a 'soft opening' with a BYC round possibly this season.
  10. Only the the third non Danish winner in over 20 years. Anders Mellgren (Sweden) and Norick Blodorn (Germany) were the previous ones. Past Danish winners include: Leon Madsen Mikkel Michelsen Anders Thomsen Nicolas Klindt Michael Palm Toft Mads Hansen Benjamin Basso
  11. Replacing the burgers with a salad van are we?
  12. Berntzon looked out of his depth in last year's GPs, but looks much improved this year, both in Sweden and tonight. He's clearly learnt from 2021. Similarly even if Adam does struggle this season he will learn from the experience and be back next year but more competitive.
  13. I think Oxford Conference/NDL team comes in at six too: Kids Acadamy Cubs Lions Cheetahs & Chargers
  14. Those look like June averages. Try 9.26/7.09/6.96/6.64/5.51/5.00/2.17
  15. Given the current race format optimum line-up is a strong top 2, four solid middle order riders and a reserve on a minimum average (hopefully one capable of improving).
  16. But with the best will in the world it can still be a time consuming process.
  17. 18 weeks from granting of planning consent.
  18. Mason era, and yes I got it sorted but it was an unwarranted hassle.
  19. I got a ticket for parking more than 4 hours, so I wouldn't rely on it
  20. Just to point out that like Leicester there's a 4 hour limit on the One Stop car park.
  21. 7.1.1 Under 16 - 23 days 16-19 - 12 days 20+ - 9 days
  22. Great news, but there are clearly a number of hurdles to jump (notably planning and funding) before we can witness tapes rising on a new era in 2023.
  23. So where does Kyle go (He fits at Redcar for the next 48 hours before new averages come into force). Need some more Kent riders, maybe we could entice Ben Morley or Jake Mulford in at no 7.
  24. Moving the floodlights would have. But it would have been too expensive so they were left in place. That cost Denny Pyeatt his life and it was only after Craig Featherby hit a lamp standard at Peterborough that the safety standards were changed for the better.
  25. You should offer to contribute to http://speedwayplus.com/ Or the Friends of Speedway publication 'The Voice'
