  1. Lindgren 1.778, Nilsson 1.453, Aspgren not classified (he's only had two rides in the Elitserien). I'm using figures from SVEMO site of all 2022 Elitserien fixtures.
  2. Kvech had an elder (?) brother so maybe that contributed to the confusion.
  3. Look on the bright side at least we are in top 6 and not trailing Norway
  4. And for comparison only one Swede (and it is not Lindgren!) above 1.800
  5. Levishyn (and Salonen) are already in the Polish system so I doubt if you could persuade them to take what would be regarded as a step down in their career progress and come to the UK (although Jonas Knudsen who is at a similar level and age has). And how long would it take to get a visa for someone who already has full time employment (and probably a history of residence) in Poland?
  6. If you think this is getting silly wait until the line ups for Plymouth v Birmingham next week
  7. As it happens I missed this (SoN duty - someone's gotta do it), but I'd happily pay for 7 heats featuring Josh Pickering. PS If only Barker had aggravated an injury unloading his bike
  8. That would be my answer as well. Incidentally Redcar did once name 6 guests and r/r for a match at Sheffield that was rained off. I think they 'only' used 5 guests and r/r for the restating.
  9. But isn't Lebedevs injured too (Latvia certainly missed him tonight in the SoN)
  10. If Finns and Poles tie for second I take it Finland go thru because they beat () Poland in ht 12
  11. Grandstand filling up nicely, over 80 now. I'd estimate total crowd of 550 (less than some NL matches this season)
  12. With less than 20 minutes to go nearly 70 people packed into main grandstand. Now playing Nick Straeker Band - haven't heard this for 40 years!
  13. Now playing something called "We love speedway" to tune of "Life is Life"
  14. Shockingly contemporary. Shouldn't they be playing Boney M like in the UK
  15. Championship play-offs won't offer many guesting opportunities. Only Masters and Morris have higher averages (and 5% home premium brings in Charles Wright and Douglas - but they may not even be in play-offs)
  16. Surely one of speedway's biggest problems is that 90% of us do remember Wally Loak's tapes, 'King Cinder', Don Clarke and Graham Baker
  17. Flint is not far off that trajectory, but with riders peaking later and later it would be unwise to rule riders out (Jason Doyle was 27 by the time he met that target). However it doesn't matter that most of them never become world class, because that is simply an unrealistic expectation. What is vital is that riders like Palin, Kemp and the Thompson twins are not discouraged and keep working to improve so that at the very least we have some riders to staff our league teams in five years time.
