  1. Did some digging: VAL DE GUYENNE (speedway - shale laid on former grass surface) 14.08.22 Inauguration Trophy 1. Steven Goret (4,4,4,4,4,4) 24 2. Hynek Štichauer (3,4,4,3,4,3) 21 3. Theo Pijper (4,3,3, 2,3,2) 17 4. Julien Cayre (4,2,1,3,2,1) 13 5. Ace Pijper (2,3,4,4,3,0) 16
  2. But I don't think Congreve is eligible for the NL.
  3. I'm in agreement with you. But how will Brennan/Mountain/Hume's rolling averages work in 2023? After (say) 6 matches will they: 1) stay on starting average because in effect they have 'assessed' averages 2) have a GSA based on last 4 of 2022 and 6 from 2023. 3) have a GSA based on the six 2023 matches and 75% of the points scored from the 4 remaining 2022 matches?
  4. I came close 17th and 24th arrived yesterday, but mysteriously 10th is still stuck in the system
  5. Six may not sound a lot, but three were in the last five meetings.
  6. He was never bang average. He had one good month then for the rest of the season was woeful. [35 points from 44 rides in his last 12 matche for Plymouth,, never scoring more than 5]
  7. Which is made up of his 6 Scunny appearances (30 rides 42 pts) this year plus his last 4 matches for Newcastle in 2021 (21 rides 30 points) 72/51*4 = 5.65 QED
  8. McGuiness is 22, the Cook's are 23 and 25. Pearson is clearly the better prospect.
  9. Would Poole really sign a rider who averaged 2.5 points a match less than James Pearson in Poland last season (and is older)?
  10. Going into play-offs Poole were 3 over limit so King and Ablitt out for Jack Smith and a 4 pointer would have worked. Note even Bickley and a 4 pointer would have been too high for a double change. So unless there was a magic 2 pointer out there Ablitt was pretty much irreplaceable. And he still looks the best option if Pirates want a strong no 6 in 2023.
  11. But not many as talented as Hook and Pearson and look at their GSAs.
  12. Typically a home away differential is 1 to 1.5 points. Bailey's is almost three. And when comparing Bailey and Fredriksen you need to consider that most of Bailey's appearances were at reserve, while ALL of Lasse's were in the top 5. He might add a point to his actual average but I'd be surprised if Fredriksen can up his green sheet by that much. Bailey will do well to maintain his average unless he stays at Glasgow.
  13. Ritchie Worrall's Green sheet: Matches in top 5 - ten Matches ar reserve nil
  14. I don't know about that, there are some programmes that have interesting content you won't find on the Internet.
  15. I think that's an improvement on my original suggestion. I'd pitch it around 0.25/0.30
  16. Simple solution would be a 5% reduction for retained riders.
  17. £10k Inc VAT surely as the rider will be VAT registered and the input VAT on the payments to riders will be fully recoverable.
  18. Rye House's results were expunged, so at the end of the season his average reverted back to his starting figure for 2018 of 6.86
  19. Unlikely. As GSA only includes regular season league matches the MOST RECENT fixture to contribute towards his average was on 24 July.
  20. Strangely Ritchie Worrall averaged more (circa 9.8) riding at 1/5 than he did at no 3/4 (8.00). Riss' split is more what I'd expect: http://www.gbspeedway.com/2022/riderperf.php?mc1=x&mc2=a&mc3=av&mc4=x&rider=Erik Riss&league=B&comp=All&sort=date&club=Overall
