  1. But a good opportunity for Aces riders to lower their season end green sheets.
  2. If you want the GP series to be the best riders in the world then this has to be the correct set of riders. [Pending the reintroduction of Laguta and Sayfutdinov ] Creative choices for the reserve list.
  3. Poole- Plymouth is often billed as a derby match - 118 mile drive taking 2½ hours! Edit: I see foreverblue beat me to it.
  4. Until the Jubilee Trophy Final the following week (or possibly early November)
  5. But last time the Lions went up midweek crowds were pretty gash, so it strikes me as a bit of a risk.
  6. I am unaware of any legal judgement to that effect. BV simply threatened legal action and the BSPL caved in. That said it shouldn't be difficult for a decent lawyer to run rings round the BSPL even when they are on solid ground (as I believe they are in this case).
  7. Sounds like the play-off final could be 29th and 30th if Leicester and Mildenhall get thru semis.
  8. Yes you can have a guest but as Edwards and Jenkins are the only viable options r/r is a much better bet.
  9. He's already dropped 0.82 off his GSA making him a good bet for next season.
  10. I presume that ranking Bewley 6th and Dudek 7th has saved us 6 pages of outrage about the lack of a run-off. Had it been the other way round I can't imagine many on here being happy with the outcome. (And I confess this was a rule change that passed me by, and as I was watching an hour after the event I was avoiding all the helpful posts on here that would have clarified matters for me. The failure of the commentators to give any meaningful information about the climax was pretty poor)
  11. Only in your little universe. Belle Vue are as good as in the final. Sheffield still have to beat Wolves BV combined GSA (Inc RS) 46.48 Sheffield 42.49 BV beat Sheffield 181-179 when they met in the league Against that Sheffield finished above Aces in the league, but in doing so scored 3 race points per match less The only thing that points towards a Sheffield win is Fricke's absence, and yes how BV cope with that will be a significant factor in determining the outcome, but at present Aces remain favourites to win.
  12. There is a significant difference between saying I can't ride beforehand (be it work, wedding, or holiday commitment) and accepting a booking and not turning up.
  13. I did warn you (although I had been assuming Ablitt would turn up)
  14. Richard May beating Barry Briggs -Twice (1972) Reading coming from 8 down to win in the rain 1973 Every other Racers victory at Swindon
  15. A regulation that largely exists because Aces fans kicked up such a fuss about Wolves late season signing of Woffinden. [2016]
  16. I would have disagreed on the basis that I thought he could best Kowalski, but having seen the Pole in Pardubice I am no longer of that view.
  17. Leicester? Really, been there done that. Given crowds are often better on Saturdays for the Championship than Mondays in the Premiership were I just can't see it.* * Unless Damian Bates is selling up to someone very gullible or with very deep pockets.
  18. You should, Oxford's return has been (largely) a roaring sucess and my transition to Cheetahs fan is going smoothly. Although I'm sure for both of us we'll always be Racer/Robin at heart.
  19. Combined GSA of over 47. Seems unlikely the points limit will be anywhere near that.
