  1. I think it would be sufficient just to exclude heat 2 - the Poles used to do that a few years ago. Another thing we might borrow from them is to throw away highest and lowest scores before calculating averages which makes manipulation more difficult.
  2. In principle yes, but there other issues - notably insurance cover ceases on 31 Oct and visas may also expire on that date.
  3. Yes - page 8: The period from 15 th March (8 th March when Easter falls in March) to 31 st October (both inclusive). Meetings may only be held outside this period where specific written permission of the SCB has been given
  4. Today's forecasts diverge considerably. Here's a more promising one https://www.accuweather.com/en/gb/leicester/le1-3/hourly-weather-forecast/329016
  5. RR for Spooner Complin for Shanes Luke Harrison & Ashton Boughen for Bebee and Kingston
  6. Can we just accept that: 1) it has been very wet recently 2) that at this time of the year restoring a sodden track to a state fit for racing can be tricky 3) Leicester are exercising their best endeavours to get the track ready for tomorrow 4) weather forecasts are not 100% guaranteed predictions, so we are hoping for the best tomorrow. And having got that off my chest, see you at Beaumont Park tomorrow.
  7. Laker was always programmed to ride at no 6 in second meeting. Boughen couldn't ride in the second match without obtaining an average so had only been booked for the first.
  8. But precedent would suggest that if 2nd leg can't be run the result is declared based on the one leg held.
  9. Given the lateness of the hour and the tanking the home team were getting more than you might imagine. More pertinently how many riders do Mildenhall have left? [Clue: it was less than one and rhymes with bun]
  10. How about as a compromise and Jason sits on a roundabout near Coventry for the evening.
  11. Now been confirmed - Ben Morley guesting So how many attending at Sheffield* would be bothered if Edwards wasn't there for his one riide? None I'd wager. But how many thinking of attending Mildenhall will be disappointed by the news and might even consider not attending? Edit: * of course I mean Belle Vue
  12. Jason Edwards has been told he must go to Sheffield * Belle Vue for one reserve ride, rather than take up to 12 rides at Mildenhall in their final double header tomorrow, so that would suggest Poole and Leicester ought to get priority over Lawson, R Worrall and Mountain. But that's me naively assuming that decisions will be made on a logically consistent basis. * Edited to correct error on my part.
  13. VACULIK also had two rides in an abandoned meeting at Rye House
  14. Yes this is always how BSPL rules work. Some promoter thinks they've been 'cheated' and whines like a six year old until BSPL change rules without considering knock-on effects of rule change. In this case I think it was because riders who missed part of 2021 season still had 2019 results hanging around in their green sheets. (also see changes to IRR)
  15. I've used Premiership matches ex bonus points from gbspeedway.com
  16. And yet the following all have higher away averages than Jack Holder: Steve Worrall Charles Wright Danny King Troy Batchelor Thomas Jorgensen
  17. No, just loads of waffle
  18. But you look nothing like Robert de Niro
  19. This (with aid of Google translate) should give you all you could possibly wish for https://gorka-speedway.blogspot.com/
  20. A suitable response to any discussion about the Jubilee Trophy
  21. Predictably off. So will it be staged at King's Lynn (or another neutral track) or do we get a November restaging (zombies have priority at West Row next weekend)?
