I think the wide boys are now moving in on football and rugby stadia. Show up as 'knights in shining armour', separate the ground ownership from the operating company. Use the club to launder money for a few years, run it into the ground, declare insolvency, sell ground for property development. Bury FC and now Worcester RFC spring to mind, but there will be several others at risk

You're not suggesting Lynn v BV will never be staged are you? -
Definitely not

Denmark seem to have retreated from Fridays and appear to be back to Wednesdays only

That would imply Aces heat leaders winning 15 out of 18 head to heads against Tigers heat leaders, which seems unlikely to me. -

So excepting the Thompson twins, basically NDL reserves and second strings. Impressive of Sheffield to use so many riders in so few matches. -
Although the most logical north/south split of the current tracks would see Leicester in the Northern League with BV, Sheffield, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Berwick, Redcar, & Scunthorpe.

I found quite a degree of scepticism about the wisdom of the move up. -
When the RS was introduced I did an extensive article in the Star examining past schemes to encourage young talent. They came along about once every seven years and apart from the odd vestigial trace all had disappeared within two years.

Given everything else now has a date (if we assume the outstanding Premiership fixtures will either be on Mon/Thur or never happen) then the only other matches that will have an impact on staging dates are those of Leicester Cubs. -

Maybe that's Wolves problem. Cos if you don't move at the start you'll be left at the tapes every time. Doh! -

Only gone back to 2008 so far, but Poole 63 King's Lynn 27 in 2011 is biggest I've found with a quick look. -

Anyone know what the most one sided result in a play off is? -

Think that is a rather generous assessment. -

But they are both a long way from being their nations' top riders. Lahti and Loktaev (who may be otherwise engaged at present) must be wondering what they have to do to get noticed. -

The GSA gives you a headline figure, but not the whole story. For example who is better Jake Allen or Michael Palm Toft? Jake Allen 7.02 vs Toft 6.76 if we look at Sept Championship GSA, but Toft 6.87 vs Allen 3.24 If we look at Prem GSAs. Same rider, wildly different conclusions. Then consider factors like home/away splits, riding order number, how old the average is, and that's before we even get onto assessed averages. They are full of anomalies, but I'm struggling to see a better option, my conclusion is they remain the least worst alternative. -

The exclusion of Jensen and Kubera from the reserve list does seem perverse. However I am content with the likes of Holder and Fricke competing in the challenge. These are exactly the sort of riders challenge contenders should be proving they can beat if they are to show they deserve a GB spot. Without them we just risk having more Berntzon, Cook and Kasprzak's squeezing in on the strength of one outstanding performance.
