  1. Tonight France third place earned them 6th place in the World rankings. A remarkable achievement from a country that a decade ago never had more than a couple of meetings a season. Back in 1991 18 countries entered the World Team Cup and France came ... 18th Behind not just Finland, Norway, Hungary, Italy, Austria but also the giants of Yugoslavia, Bulgaria Netherlands and East Germany And who were 12th sandwiched between Italy and Austria? Poland
  2. The minute you do that Championship attendances plummet.
  3. 15 from 6 this year, and 13+1 from 5 last in Ekstraliga so not bad.
  4. Averaging pretty much the same as Musielak and Kurtz in Poland. Do you think they are Championship second strings? By your metric Basso would be a Championship reserve. Sometimes your Poole-centric garbage is just embarrassing.
  5. Beat Robert Lambert in the Polish Ekstraliga, not sure he can get to a much higher level.
  6. Really? Official attendance for the race off in 2004 was 1100.
  7. I think we are now down to six tracks shared with greyhounds. Four of those are under threat (Monmore, Perry Barr and Armadale, and Sheffield), leaving just two where the sports still seem to co-exist Kevin Boothby owned Oxford and Mildenhall
  8. Home straight seating - plus under cover, minus not the greatest view (seating not well raked and a couple of Poles in the way Back straight stand (temporary) - great view, not covered (and it often rains in Vojens) Standing - decent views assuming not to crowded or wet
  9. Which would leave the likes of Sedgmen, Howarth and Toft as number ones next season. Grim, but plausible.
  10. Possibly the weirdest graphic ever - individual scores in a team meeting
  11. The more guilty you are, the more you need a solicitor, so I wouldn't read too much into that.
  12. And yet he's won a GP, a GP Challenge and was runner-up in last year's European Championship. Hardly a complete failure.
  13. He's still a Monarch - an Oxford Monarch Cheetah
  14. Shouldn't the title of this thread be changed to "Everybody prepares their starts - get over it"
  15. Robert Lambert. Bewley wasn't on the radar at this age. I don't think he'd even ridden a speedway bike yet.
  16. The format is easy to construct, but the problem is that it requires 12 riders to have back to back races. It only works here because there are two groups so even 'consecutive ' races are two heats apart.
  17. His ability to pick the right line coming out of bend 2 is also well in advance of his experience.
