  1. I think we are now down to six tracks shared with greyhounds. Four of those are under threat (Monmore, Perry Barr and Armadale, and Sheffield), leaving just two where the sports still seem to co-exist Kevin Boothby owned Oxford and Mildenhall
  2. Home straight seating - plus under cover, minus not the greatest view (seating not well raked and a couple of Poles in the way Back straight stand (temporary) - great view, not covered (and it often rains in Vojens) Standing - decent views assuming not to crowded or wet
  3. Which would leave the likes of Sedgmen, Howarth and Toft as number ones next season. Grim, but plausible.
  4. Possibly the weirdest graphic ever - individual scores in a team meeting
  5. The more guilty you are, the more you need a solicitor, so I wouldn't read too much into that.
  6. And yet he's won a GP, a GP Challenge and was runner-up in last year's European Championship. Hardly a complete failure.
  7. He's still a Monarch - an Oxford Monarch Cheetah
  8. Shouldn't the title of this thread be changed to "Everybody prepares their starts - get over it"
  9. Robert Lambert. Bewley wasn't on the radar at this age. I don't think he'd even ridden a speedway bike yet.
  10. The format is easy to construct, but the problem is that it requires 12 riders to have back to back races. It only works here because there are two groups so even 'consecutive ' races are two heats apart.
  11. His ability to pick the right line coming out of bend 2 is also well in advance of his experience.
  12. Bewley at 90% is still far better than most of the alternatives
  13. But his actual 2023 average based on all official fixtures has him 9th (or 10th behind Danny King if you ignore bonus points). That has to be short of expectations.
  14. And Ace is in Zarnovica for the European under 19 championship
  15. Currently standing at £19,990! Just a tenner to go
  16. I'm guessing Plymouth will be on 16th or 23rd of August with Workington or Bullets moving to 30 Aug (NDL has later cut-off date)
  17. The thing that has really made my visits to Oxford a pure pleasure is the atmosphere - packed crowd, huge waves of emotion as the drama unfolds. Like you I'm a fan of local rivals through and through (Racers rather than Robins) but it is impossible not to get wrapped up in the excitement.
