I think we are now down to six tracks shared with greyhounds. Four of those are under threat (Monmore, Perry Barr and Armadale, and Sheffield), leaving just two where the sports still seem to co-exist Kevin Boothby owned Oxford and Mildenhall
Home straight seating - plus under cover, minus not the greatest view (seating not well raked and a couple of Poles in the way
Back straight stand (temporary) - great view, not covered (and it often rains in Vojens)
Standing - decent views assuming not to crowded or wet
The format is easy to construct, but the problem is that it requires 12 riders to have back to back races. It only works here because there are two groups so even 'consecutive ' races are two heats apart.
But his actual 2023 average based on all official fixtures has him 9th (or 10th behind Danny King if you ignore bonus points). That has to be short of expectations.
The thing that has really made my visits to Oxford a pure pleasure is the atmosphere - packed crowd, huge waves of emotion as the drama unfolds. Like you I'm a fan of local rivals through and through (Racers rather than Robins) but it is impossible not to get wrapped up in the excitement.
