It often contains some interesting stuff, but also too much along the lines of "actor Kieron who once played third drinker in Hollyoaks bar scene said 'I might go to a speedway meeting 'cos my grandpa used to go and talked about it all the time' " type stories

Reading the regulations: 1) rider replacement is "a facility" 2) where "no facility" is allowed a guest up to 75% is available. In this situation it can not simultaneously be both a facility and no facility.
-
No because r/r is not available
-
Unless he starts riding in Germany again without returning to Redcar/Ipswich. At which point he's surely 'withholding his services' and the facility would become a 28 day one.

18 all. Wood (500) and Kluczniak (125) both got maximums

12.05.2023 - Scunny v Glasgow BSN Series SF L1
arnieg replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It is a matter of objective fact that for almost 25 years the second tier has for most seasons consisted of a league competition, a knockout competition and a secondary competition featuring all tracks in regional mini leagues culminating in a final. The latter has had about six different names, but substantially has been the same competition. -
It was wet around lunchtime, but it has been bright and sunny for last six hours. But if you get a downpour like the one at lunchtime but half an hour before the start, what can you do? Answer: call for the magic leaf blower

Mmmmm what comes next? A rip roaring success I hope. Welcome back and see you Saturday.

The real problem with this is home snappers/ video technicians will jump up and down to correct a decision that goes against the home team, but not when a manifestly wrong call is made in their team's favour.

Oxford v Leicester - Weds 10 May

But he's ridden far more than most of the riders competing last night. By my reckoning 9 of the 14 were on their first or second meeting of the season. -
Question about Rider Replacement
arnieg replied to Diamonds85's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
But limited to 7 rides so couldn't have RR, IRR, a TS and ht 15. -
Gappmaier would be ok, but only got six at Mureck last week. How about Antti Vuolas - scored 13 in the same meeting beating MJJ, Gusts, Huckenbeck and Rasmus Jensen (and also going well in Polish u24 league).
-
I assume because it's a challenge match 10.5(h) doesn't apply. [That's the automatic 7 day ban following a meeting missed through illness.]
-
R/R not available see 12.4

Who is still riding who rode in 2004?
arnieg replied to steve roberts's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
He still rides regularly in first division at Costa Mesa. Last Saturday: https://www.speedwaybikes.com/res2023_w/CostaMesa-20230429.htm -
And what are the alternatives to paying on the gate? I see no details of advance tiocket purchase on the Worky site.

Irrelevant. For example a 8.40 rider can replace an 8.00 rider at home but he still, and always has, assumes the replaced riders average. 75% merely refers to the quality of the guest that can be used. So if Sedgmen were to be injured in his second ride Wolves could use Douglas and St Worrall as IRR for the last two programmed rides. Whoops, have I found another loophole?
-
Sedgmen's average is below 5.33 (75% of Becker's) so should be OK.
-
Isn't it 5? (cf Jordan Jenkins 4.72 for Cheetahs). Also isn't it signing rather than riding, so if Jordan's average increases he won't be forced to stop riding for the Chargers.

360 yards (~324 metres) for all six seasons.
