Tigers vs Wolves (playoff semi 2nd leg) 28/09/23
arnieg replied to SuperStarsFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Sheffield picked Vissing because he was available. Or are you suggesting they deliberately engineered the crash in Denmark that caused his injury? -
Being proactive in replacing injured riders Dropping out of form riders Ruthlessly casting aside solid performers in order to accomodate changes elsewhere in the team Booking decent guests None of these are objectively 'wrong' and are they not exactly the things Poole fans praise Matt Ford for doing?

The word 'deadline' has a different meaning in BSPL land, something along the lines of 'aspiration' -

I can't see it makes a hap'oth difference which was signed first. If both commit him to show up then he simply has to decide which one to break and take the consequences. ... unless Oxford get a special 'special dispensation' to use a guest. (And because of restrictions around guests that would probably be Laurie Jye Etheridge) -

Brennan and Jenkins on FIM duty for Team GB in Opole -
From the timing one infers these are up to 23rd of the month (Sept) effective 1 October. But it does look like an oversight.
-
No Hume has dropped below 4 (to 3.87) so from 1 October Rew should be back in the top 5.

What are the reasons for not picking Friday? (It also has the best weather forecast) -
Three weeks since the Plymouth two were fingered, shouldn't there be a hearing date by now?

It is a trophy that has been staged almost every season since 1997. Just it's name changes every few years which is a bit silly (not to mention the BSPA promoting it as an exciting new competition when we all know it's the same old regional leagues plus knock-out). -

Oxford thru regardless of Tuesday's result -
No. The owners are not obliged to run speedway or lease the stadium to anyone who would. They could reinstate the stadium, but more likely is that they will submit a further application for housing possibly after a couple of years of further decay.

In which case they'll sell to the highest bidder - a commercial developer - as happened with Edinburgh's new site

One can't help wondering what kind of pressure was brought about to secure that agreement, after all Redcar strike me as one of the more competently run clubs
