  1. Richard May wasn't 'youngster'. He was 24 when he started.
  2. And yet two weeks before he looked superb at Mildenhall (not the easiest of tracks). And a week before that I thought he was woeful and Oxford.
  3. And yet Oxford - 14 years away - have a youngish (by speedway's standards) age profile
  4. I find it works if you think of it as a draw (after all both teams get a point), and then there is a superheat for a 'bonus point'.
  5. He did 7 meetings BUT They were in div 1, which probably shouldn't count. He averaged 4.8 (for comparison Bastian Borke averaged 6.2 and Jonas Knudsen 8.3 - but both also rode in DSL unlike Tate).
  6. If he gains an average of 7.75 it is because he's that good. And if he's that good why not sign him for next year? [I suspect cost and availability are more likely to be the deciding factor than his GSA]
  7. Boxall top scored on the Island tonight. Passed Bowtell in heat 16
  8. I am fairly sure he was told unequivocally not to do a fourth meeting, but ignored that advice.
  9. Thers were others before 14 May 1968 for example. Anders Michanek (Leicester v Coventry)
  10. A completely justified decision. Started bang on 7.30, no parade, clearly determined to get it run. But too much spray hampered visibility. Winning times of 66 seconds [season fastest 57]. If it had been the 'big boys' probably wouldn't even have started.
  11. I think people are being a little more cautious in hyping up youngsters after getting a little over-excited over Palin, Thompson x2, Ablitt, Bickley, Kemp etc
  12. Unexpected 'retirement' for Gustav Grahn https://www.indianerna.nu/artikel/qerjaljfe-2emdd/gustav-grahn-tar-en-paus-fran-speedwayen another chance for Anders Rowe
  13. Usually covered by a special dispensation , for which there is no 'cooling off' period. Maybe Artem is in a polygamous relationship and he could have a 'wife' go into labour every time Lynn ride away?
  14. Too inflexible. If there are 8 A grade riders available one team looses out (probably the one with least financial clout) and they can't compensate by having strength in depth because you still require two C's and a D. If there are 10 A grade riders one misses out completely.
  15. Which is exactly what they do in Sweden https://www.svemo.se/vara-sportgrenar/start-speedway/resultat-speedway/resultat-bauhausligan-speedway (Go to aktuella snitt)
  16. Guest Nick Morris (7) and top KL scorer 1
  17. Decline - yes Managed - well sort of Planned- think that's a stretch
  18. Yes it is. His average is 4.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 To have an average rounded to, but not equal to, 4.00 he would have to have at least 800 rides, that works out at least 40 per match
