  1. Given that his father, grandfather, great grandfather and great uncle all rode for Smederna this comes as such a surprise
  2. There are a lot of wise words here. Re the final para I think it is quite possible that AEPG will revise the application now before it goes to ctte in attempt to head off some of the arguments, which could delay the process by several months. Oh and those councillors you are seeking to influence may well read Panthers social media as a result of being lobbied, so try and remove all those references to councillors taking 'brown envelopes'. Nothing is guaranteed to lose the sympathy more quickly of someone whose voice could be an important one in our favour. [Councillor of 18 years]
  3. Mountain guested at Ipswich, and was Tigers first choice, but 8 day rule meant he couldn't guest in home leg.
  4. Best ranking: 1st 2020 2nd best 2nd this year 3rd best 3rd in 2019 4th best 2014 4th 5th equal: 5th in 2012 & 2013 7th best 6th in 2018
  5. Given the volume of objections I think it quite likely that it may not make it to the Nov meeting, I'm guessing Mick will have picked up some hints from officers as to the likely timetable.
  6. The years he chose to miss were when he was mid 20s. Many top riders peak over 30 these days (Vaculik, Lindgren, Madsen), so he could be at his peak now, or may not even have reached it.
  7. Depends how protracted the play-offs are. If the 14 team league has 12 teams in the play-offs in four groups of three followed by a semis and a final you could be right. And I think that's just the nonsense the BSPL would come up with.
  8. I think it would be hard to justify that counting. [And three rides and 2 points puts him at the level of Jack Smith, Sam Hagon and Luke Killeen.] Edit: I was using the wrong data set. Have got the correct figures now: 23 rides 1.43 average. Quite respectable (Similar to Bailey and Edwards). Still I don't think yhat as a youth development league this should really count. Most riders who are worth 5 ( e.g. Parnitsky, Pollestad, Heiselberg, Vuolas will have ridden in other leagues)
  9. Since 2021 King 60 pts from 32 rides Riss 24 pts 22 rides Rew 11 pts 12 rides http://www.gbspeedway.com/2023/searchridervstrack.php?mc1=s&mc2=rv&mc3=x&mc4=x&er=0 Does all the work
  10. In theory supplementing qualification with wildcards should ensure the strongest possible field, but the problem is that there is no transparency - who makes the choice and what are the criteria? For example in the last 5 GPs: Lebedevs 5 GPs 0 semi finals Fricke 5 GPs 5 semi finals. Yet Fricke is out and Lebedevs is in (I quite like Lebedevs and don't think he'll be out of his depth, but still...)
  11. I think you mean "recommended for refusal and will be determined at a planning ctte meeting on ..."
  12. The issue is NHS funding is determined by historic data and that means new residents of the development are unfunded for the first year of occupation. It is that shortfall that the NHS are seeking to cover using the argument that it falls within the CIL (or whatever 'planning gain' is called this week)
  13. What do you mean again? They haven't finished the first one
  14. And "convict Island Australia" suggests a rather parochial world view.
  15. It was the Prudential (as mentioned upthread). And connection to Brandon Estates - none whatsoever.
  16. Because it would be advantageous to Berwick. You and I know the par (neutral) starting position is 42. If you want weaker teams then go for 40 by all means, but let's not pretend it's the 'steady state'.
  17. Yes and I thoroughly recommend Bowen's Pies at Belle Vue.
  18. Kelsey rode for Worky and Oxford in NDL this year. And his brother Connor promoted at Eastbourne
  19. And another with exotic nationality (there is a clue there)
  20. I know, I know. But as I was chatting to you when I saw her race I have an unfair advantage!
  21. I've never met an otter with pockets, just how wet do they get?
