Leicester lions 2023 (PREMIERSHIP)
arnieg replied to PhilTheAce's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
But if he hasn't got machinery he is withholding his services so yes there would be a facility. -
Top prize goes to Redcar for getting this meeting on, ensuring it ran smoothly and that the track was raceable and not just rideable. Ben Cook very impressive.

Isn't there an alternate version, that after an unexpectedly strong showing against Ostrow, Rybnik wanted him to prepare for the semi final without distraction. Don't know which is true, but if it is the 28 day visa then how is a sport that is based on riders being available all season being propped up by riders who turn out to be temporary signings (although this is never mentioned when the signing is originally announced (cf Adam Ellis last year))

Edinburgh v Poole 25th August 2023 Championship.
arnieg replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
So Poole want a brand new rule - changed mid-season, purely for their benefit . Or did Edinburgh make it rain? 2002: Poole fans - it's all about winning the play-offs, topping the league table doesn't matter, just need to qualify 2003: Poole fans - it's all about winning the play-offs, topping the league table doesn't matter, just need to qualify 2004: Poole fans - it's all about winning the play-offs, topping the league table doesn't matter, just need to qualify 2005: Poole fans - it's all about winning the play-offs, topping the league table doesn't matter, just need to qualify 2006: Poole fans - it's all about winning the play-offs, topping the league table doesn't matter, just need to qualify 2007: Poole fans - it's all about winning the play-offs, topping the league table doesn't matter, just need to qualify 2008: Poole fans - it's all about winning the play-offs, topping the league table doesn't matter, just need to qualify 2009: Poole fans - it's all about winning the play-offs, topping the league table doesn't matter, just need to qualify 2010: Poole fans - it's all about winning the play-offs, topping the league table doesn't matter, just need to qualify 2011: Poole fans - it's all about winning the play-offs, topping the league table doesn't matter, just need to qualify 2012: Poole fans - it's all about winning the play-offs, topping the league table doesn't matter, just need to qualify 2013: Poole fans - it's all about winning the play-offs, topping the league table doesn't matter, just need to qualify 2014: Poole fans - it's all about winning the play-offs, topping the league table doesn't matter, just need to qualify 2015: Poole fans - it's all about winning the play-offs, topping the league table doesn't matter, just need to qualify 2016: Poole fans - it's all about winning the play-offs, topping the league table doesn't matter, just need to qualify 2017: Poole fans - it's all about winning the play-offs, topping the league table doesn't matter, just need to qualify 2018: Poole fans - it's all about winning the play-offs, topping the league table doesn't matter, just need to qualify 2019: Poole fans - it's all about winning the play-offs, topping the league table doesn't matter, just need to qualify 2021: Poole fans - it's all about winning the play-offs, topping the league table doesn't matter, just need to qualify 2022: Poole fans - it's all about winning the play-offs, topping the league table doesn't matter, just need to qualify 2023 Poole fans: waaaaaah it's not fair -
Leicester v Sheffield 26th August 6.30pm.

Also you want to insure against the risk of a rain off, with races dates at a premium at Owlerton. -
But that would mean the Chargers riding without Jenkins and Atkins so unlikey in the extreme

Edinburgh v Poole 25th August 2023 Championship.
arnieg replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I'm not aware of teams being fined for failing to complete fixtures before the cut-off date before despite numerous examples of matches staged after the cut-off date. -
What? You haven't heard! Peterborough's last match (currently with no date and no bearing on the play-offs) is going to be on 30 October

Most promoters are really enthusiasts indulging in their hobby. If that ceases to be enjoyable because of endless abuse on forums and elsewhere then don't be surprised if their enthusiasm diminishes and they walk away.
-
Hypothetically of course, but if Tarasenko were to be injured/ill/stuck in Poland etc etc then Tigers would be stuck with r/r (Vissing + reserves x 3) which would make victory a tough proposition.
-
Will be Oxford. It is always the Champ team that takes priority
-
There seemed to be a lot of people very disappointed that Poole fans haven't acted more hysterically to this signing. Most of the posts I've seen from Poole fans seem to accept they've been out manouvered. Anyway it will all be decided on track at the end of the day.
-
No just no.
-
Would you take the purposive approach or Roman Law interpretive principles though? Easy to understand and "closing all loopholes" generally tend to be conflicting objectives when drafting legislation.
-
I've got another suggestion that involves linear regression. What would that do them?
-
Yes as is obvious from Tarasenko (an Ekstraliga heatleader) and Wojdylo (a league one second string) the same average. It would be like giving Jye Etheridge and Brady Kurtz the same average.
-
One would imagine that the rules (which haven't been written yet, so definitely hypothetical) would either be that his real average takes precedence or it is the higher of tye two so his Prem average would be the one to count. There are other possibilities, for example a weighted average: m x 1.3 x prem average + n x Champ ave -----‐------------‐--------------------------------------------- m + n Where m and n are the number of matches used in determining respective league's greensheets
-
It's been that way since I started going to speedway in 1970. Reserves were lowest two averages from last six matches. So they changed after every match - but only seven days later.
-
Issue 27, it's highlighted in green
-
Yes. It is blindingly obvious from the layout.
-
No. His new average is from 28 Aug - see latest greensheets. Nothing irregular about that, it's how it has always been.

25.08.2023 Scunny v Glasgow League
arnieg replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Technically it must be from 26th as his average goes over 9 on Moonday. But you are right in practice as I think that is Glasgow's next match
