  1. Dan was riding at Leicester last night. So unless that exhausting parade lap did for him...
  2. And remember how after last year Leicester assured us they had sorted out their drainage problems. Do you think that might have been wishful thinking?
  3. Not according to the rule book
  4. Indeed. Clearly we are being too naive in believing that the SCB regulations are a reliable source in such circumstances. There is also a big double standard in that Atkins (and Jenkins if fit) appear to have been punished by exclusion from this meeting for doing exactly what Thompson (J) and Ablitt are now doing.
  5. No. The council has a statutory obligation to draw up local plan containing appropriate planning policies for the area and designating land uses. However the plan goes through a long process including consultation and potentially public enquiry. Any plan policy saying the land must be used for a particular sport would be regarded as too narrow and never get through. The present policy is about as strong as could realistically be expected.
  6. So a grand total of FIVE of the originally qualified line-up (Clegg, Complin, Morley and the Comets duo) are expected to race.
  7. I discussed this with an SCB referee after giving a 15 year old alcohol as a 'man of the match' award. It is clearly against the rules.
  8. Er no he should be at Worky exactly the same as Ablitt
  9. I'd choose Ashton Boughen (assuming Joe T and Max Perry are the Leicester representatives at Worky)
  10. Think it's a question if when rather than if it rains, but median forecast suggests 9pm so fingers crossed
  11. Just put in a sell on clause. If a new stadium materialises then further payment is due to Buster. Common in land sales where if planning permission is subsequently obtained by the new owner some of that increase in value is returned to the old owner.
  12. My word you are a humourless over sensitive delicate little flower.
  13. I'm sure every morning Tarasenko wakes up and the first thing he thinks is "what is the Bournnemouth Echo saying today"
  14. Yes It's about saying goodbye respectfully Both for the former riders and supporters. One of the highlights of Smallmead's 'End of an Era' meeting for me was talking to John Hammond.
  15. I think Bernie Leigh got more mentions than some of Peterborough's legends.
  16. Given that his father, grandfather, great grandfather and great uncle all rode for Smederna this comes as such a surprise
  17. There are a lot of wise words here. Re the final para I think it is quite possible that AEPG will revise the application now before it goes to ctte in attempt to head off some of the arguments, which could delay the process by several months. Oh and those councillors you are seeking to influence may well read Panthers social media as a result of being lobbied, so try and remove all those references to councillors taking 'brown envelopes'. Nothing is guaranteed to lose the sympathy more quickly of someone whose voice could be an important one in our favour. [Councillor of 18 years]
  18. Mountain guested at Ipswich, and was Tigers first choice, but 8 day rule meant he couldn't guest in home leg.
  19. Best ranking: 1st 2020 2nd best 2nd this year 3rd best 3rd in 2019 4th best 2014 4th 5th equal: 5th in 2012 & 2013 7th best 6th in 2018
  20. Given the volume of objections I think it quite likely that it may not make it to the Nov meeting, I'm guessing Mick will have picked up some hints from officers as to the likely timetable.
  21. The years he chose to miss were when he was mid 20s. Many top riders peak over 30 these days (Vaculik, Lindgren, Madsen), so he could be at his peak now, or may not even have reached it.
