arnieg replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in National League Speedway
At least you got one. When I arrived (after a long slow journey) they'd sold out. If anyone can help me get hold of a copy I'd be very grateful. -
Not just the three pointers!

Agreed If Somerset are so keen on retrospective appeals then I trust they will accept it when their rivals appeal over the incorrect average awarded to Brady Kurtz last year and his score is removed from all 2014 matches! In this case there were mistakes by all parties, and the key word is mistake. -
No sunbreak and we are still going at 10pm!!! S there an MDL match to follow?

Than having mrcts as a supporter, I very much doubt it.

How about 16.4.1: "The Home Team must notify their Opponents of the Team Line-Up at least 5 days before the Meeting to which the Away Team must respond within 24 hours with their Team Line-Up. All notifications must be in writing, include the MA’s and... not to mention 14.9.1 (Duties of the referee): Duties prior to, and/or Pre-Meeting are to check: * the Programme, ... The first was clearly broken by the home team as the MAs were not correct, and the second by the referee as he didn't spot the mistake -

They should do. I'm pretty sure that Tim Sugar knew the correct gsa of every opponent in every match for which he was team manager. It now seems both teams are arguing that they should get the benefit of the doubt because of their incompetence. At least nobody has argued any mitigation for Mr. Dowling. I say replay (should get a better crowd than a Tyne/Tees challenge) It is also an interesting case study in the role of the internet as the comments on the live updates and the ability of ordinary fans at the track to look up the green sheets on their smart phones has meant that this surfaced before the completion of the match. -
Future Of Scunthorpe Scorpions

We were up there recently, and my other half (who has no interest in speedway) was very complimentary about the homemade pie. -
Have you tried anger management?

Yes I noticed that too. Still no answer as to who the ref was, because they are clearly at fault whatever the other arguments. -

You really come across as an unpleasant person - I wish to make it clear that not all Leicester supporters are not as odious as you. I would suggest you try apologising, but I don't hold out much hope.

Unusual factoid: Only three different race winners all night

Swearing...I'm OK with Adult content doesn't bother me BUT wishing the closure of any speedway track is unacceptable behaviour

From what I've seen of Danish junior speedway (and that includes some of these riders) I'd say you don't need to wait, and that you're suspicions are right. Bukhave is probably the best of them at present. And there are two sons of 80s stars in the line-up too: Jorgensen and Karger. I think Kent need to bring in BWD for Adam Sheppard to make a match of it.

Surely you need a 50% increase, which makes your point about elasticity of demand even more compelling. -
Whatever changes they make Swindon will still have the weakest reserve pairing and under the current formula that is a big handicap.

Somerset And The Confederate Flag
arnieg replied to drvortexz's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
No it isn't. If the Yanks took spree killings seriously they'd be doing something about gun control. The flag business is just displacement activity. If US sports teams like the Washington Redskins and Cleveland Indians change their nicknames then, and only then, would I start to believe it might be time to think about rebranding the Rebels -
