  1. Looked fantastic when I saw him, but that was five years ago on an 85cc bike. Based on current form I'd guess he's about a five point rider.
  2. Agree with both your points. Rosebank is 294 metres. Plus: He's a talented rider
  3. Would be very interested in 1983. You may remember a long thread on here about who would have been world champion had the GP existed prior to 1995, and this was the year that really caused everyone to struggle finding a likely winner
  4. 42 all draw. The home team were handicapped by the withdrawal of the injured Covatti, with Edberg being a less than adequate replacement, but the visitors lost the best rider on display in Andrey Karpov mid match. Both the young Danes at no 5 acquitted themselves well, with Mikkel B Andersen (brother of Jonas) getting a crucial win in the penultimate race leaving the home pair of Kildemand and Hougaard to get a match leveling 5-1 in the last heat decider. A good evening
  5. Interesting as always. Where does Leon Madsen come out? He's currently averaging less than Kenneth Hansen and Jesper Scharff in Denmark, but more than Sayfutdinov and Iversen in Poland! Dolgin's rankings over rate all non-Europeans except Australians (riders like Manzares and Garcia see their rankings plummet when they start riding in Europe)
  6. Am currently in Denmark and planning to go to the Div one match - but dmusport calendar has it as a 10am start. Will Rene Madsen be riding in the old boys match?
  7. Now that I follow what has happened I think I agree with you on all material points. I think the key point is that Jonsson and Nilsson were already unavailable when Lakeside originally declared their team.
  8. OK Brady Kurtz and Aaron Summers - I assume that means the 9th May fixture v Coventry. So who were Leicester not allowed to track?
  9. Rather pathetic all these allegations about cheating with no evidence. Lakeside chose their guests well but unless someone can provide a relevant precedent I will not be throwing lazy allegations of cheating at Lakeside.
  10. I'm sure I've seen matches where changes like this have been allowed. But can anyone come up with a precedent where a team was not allowed to change their line up after a late injury/withdrawal?
  11. On threads over previous controversial rain-offs the widely held view of most posters is that the match should be called off when the track is unfit to ride - not after heat 10 when it is convenient for the winning team and/or promoter. That appears to be what happened here, and yet there is endless whinging. I know Dave Robinson is not everybody's favourite referee, but all he has done here is what the referee is supposed to do: make a decision about whether it is safe to continue the meeting.
  12. Ippo fans should stop whining about Tungate - he got what he deserved - however the decision not to allow Greenwood to ride STINKS
  13. 1) I'm citing a precedent 2) my opinion is based on over 30 years of involvement in various quasi-judicial processes If the SCB are going to take further action then the parties concerned have a right to a fair hearing. Incidents often look different if taken from different angles, and selectively edited clips can be misleading.
  14. Cleancut recorded the Greaves/Sarjeant incident last year and ended up passing it on to SCB. I would advise not posting it - you can always post it later, but you can never unpost it once posted.
  15. At least you got one. When I arrived (after a long slow journey) they'd sold out. If anyone can help me get hold of a copy I'd be very grateful.
  16. Some do - at least one contributor to this thread has three league titles to his name as team manager
  17. That Jan Anderson rubbish, hope he never rides for Reading Proch up next, go on Boley
  18. Ooh it's just like live updates. Great win from Bernie there - c'mon you Racers
  19. Agreed If Somerset are so keen on retrospective appeals then I trust they will accept it when their rivals appeal over the incorrect average awarded to Brady Kurtz last year and his score is removed from all 2014 matches! In this case there were mistakes by all parties, and the key word is mistake.
  20. No sunbreak and we are still going at 10pm!!! S there an MDL match to follow?
  21. Than having mrcts as a supporter, I very much doubt it.
  22. How about 16.4.1: "The Home Team must notify their Opponents of the Team Line-Up at least 5 days before the Meeting to which the Away Team must respond within 24 hours with their Team Line-Up. All notifications must be in writing, include the MA’s and... not to mention 14.9.1 (Duties of the referee): Duties prior to, and/or Pre-Meeting are to check: * the Programme, ... The first was clearly broken by the home team as the MAs were not correct, and the second by the referee as he didn't spot the mistake
  23. They should do. I'm pretty sure that Tim Sugar knew the correct gsa of every opponent in every match for which he was team manager. It now seems both teams are arguing that they should get the benefit of the doubt because of their incompetence. At least nobody has argued any mitigation for Mr. Dowling. I say replay (should get a better crowd than a Tyne/Tees challenge) It is also an interesting case study in the role of the internet as the comments on the live updates and the ability of ordinary fans at the track to look up the green sheets on their smart phones has meant that this surfaced before the completion of the match.
