  1. What Buster said: "I'd love that to happen it would be the best thing ever to go two race nights but I just really think it would be very very difficult to make it happen"
  2. I'd hazard a guess at less than people expect. There may be some restrictions on lesser Poles/Danes/Swedes etc riding in the British leagues but I suspect that post Brexit restrictions on EU workers will largely focus on unskilled workers and may have minimal impact on our sport. Secondly, if you believe Goldman Sachs (and I rarely do), Brexit will lead to devaluation of sterling. If (and it is a big if) that were to happen then we could be faced with several foreign riders leaving the EL/PL (as happened during the economic crisis of 1976).
  3. Some of Buster's answers were quite long - it is entirely possible that Buster made both statements.
  4. Cleancut Sports Elite League it is then.
  5. Attendance about 50 fans. Duration over three hours. Panel: Tony Gillias, Ged Rathbone, Buster Chapman, Rob Godfrey, Martin Widman, Neil Watson Cleancut were recording so it should go up on the BSPA website (edited I'd imagine)
  6. Fixed race nights not practical according to Buster Chapman at the forum today. Which begs the question why did KL move to Thursdays?
  7. Kai Huckenbeck Jonas Andersson Jonas Jeppesen Krystian Rempala (I assume Maxim Drabik and work permit riders wouldn't be eligible)
  8. Most absences are due to injury not fixture clashes. It would be very optimistic to imagine that they will not crop up at some point during the season, so making provision for a number 8 still seems like a wise precaution.
  9. Here are 13 Danes I would sign before Bukhave (with their Danish League One average) – all made at least one SuperLigan appearance so would come in on 7.00. Jesper Sogaard 9.83 (age 27 – his DSL average is higher than Thomas Jorgensen and Jonas B Andersen) Johannes Kikkenborg 9.79 (age 25 – his DSL average is higher than Thomas Jorgensen and Jonas B Andersen) Jonas Jeppesen 8.99 (only 18, first season on 500cc my number one choice by a mile) Kenni Nissen 8.63 Jonas Jensen 8.13 Jason Jorgensen 8.05 (only 17, first season on 500cc) Jesper Scharff 7.91 Frederik Jakobsen 7.78 Sam Jensen 7.66 Mikkel B Andersen 7.62 (brother of Jonas) Andreas Lyager Hansen 7.57 (rode 4 matches for Scunny in 2015 averaging 4.00) Jason Bukhave 7.33 Plus these two riders who averaged less than Bukhave but are younger and in my view have more potential: Martin Steen Hansen 7.05 Patrick Hansen 6.98 Currently better than all of these is Rasmus Jensen (PL average 5.92), ranking behind all of these is Rye House signing Peter Karger.
  10. Representations by e-mail are fine (the majority are made by e-mail)
  11. Step one is to decide what this is attempting to achieve. Is it enticing top line riders back? Or Eliminating clashes for doubling up riders? Step two: establish whether PL teams are willing to change race nights to accommodate the EL, and how much flexibility EL teams that are tenants have. Only then can you have a meaningful discussion about racedays. Other issues to consider: * How does this fit in with Sky's broadcasting plans? * Will there even be enough teams to make the EL viable?
  12. It should look like this: 1(2) (0,2,1,3,3) - 9 7 (11) Zbyshek Holy (Czech.) (f, 2,3,2,2) - 9 8 (13) Trond Helge Skretting (Norway) (3,3,1,1, f) - 8 9 (5) Marek Kepa (Poland) (3,1,0,2,0) - 6 10 (10) Jaromir Bartos (Czech.) (2,2,0,0,2) - 6 11 (16) Vladimir Pankin (USSR) (f, 2,2,1,1) - 6 12 (8) Stefan Berecz (Hungary) (2,1,1,0,1) - 5 13 (14) Josef Aigner (Germany) (2,1,0,1,1) - 5 14 (15) Hans Albert Klinge (Denmark) (1,1,1,2,0) - 5 15 (9) Jan Eriksson (Sweden) (1,0,2, r, 0) - 3 16 (6) Fausto Birbini (Italy) (0,0,0,1, xt) - 1 R1-Carl Bidersberger (Denmark) R2-Christian Brandt (Germany) In a previous iteration the three falls are marked as exclusions (и) so best guess is they should be fx. 13. Unless it is listed (which is why that became an issue at Oxford) demolition does not require planning permission. The problem for any property developer is that as you point out considerably smaller developments have been turned down because of lack of road infrastructure. My guess is that any prospective developers will get permission only when they provide a large contribution towards upgrading the road network.
  14. The guardian is asking for recollections of Walthamstow greyhound Stadium at http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2016/feb/12/all-lit-up-share-your-photos-and-memories-of-walthamstow-stadium Maybe they need to be reminded that it wasn't just dogs at the stadium.
  15. However most guests are as a result of injury and can't be avoided. If the EL run on Fridays there will be more guests unless the PL clubs who race on that day change their race night or (and this is highly speculative) enough riders return to the EL to significantly reduce doubling up.
  16. Not just opposition riders - Mitch Shirra in particular was unhappy about riding with Tim. Yet off track one of the most pleasant riders I've encountered.
  17. I presume that you are also proposing cutting the league programme. 28 weeks, plus three reserved dates for rain-offs would mean the playoffs taking place in November.
  18. You are somewhat confused - a third of Danish matches including most of those King and Harris's teams will participate in are on Fridays. Furthermore looking at the structure of both teams squads it seems unlikely either will get many appearances unless some of the regulars suffer long term injuries. The point about EL and PL not clashing is primarily for riders benefit as it will allow doubling up without clashes (cf Simon Lambert)
  19. As an extensive traveller I have asked for refunds on several ocassions - and always got one. However it some cases it took me several months! Only one promoter appeared happy to give me a refund (step forward Peter Toogood)
  20. Including bonus points inflates the averages of middle order riders - with the current race format it would reduce even further the gap between number ones and number fives making the present farce worse still.
  21. They can basically sign anyone apart from Iversen and Janowski, but they'll probably end up three points below the limit.
  22. Here we are - have also included Gollob as clearly the third most consistent rider over that period. And gollob is clearly third, but Pedersen v Crump is quite tight with Nicki getting the verdict overall Poland .............Pedersen Crump Gollob 2005 ........9.72 ......9.11 ......9.76 2006 ......10.16 ....10.64 ......9.17 2007 ......10.92 ......9.17 ......9.24 2008 ......11.10 ....10.34 ......9.44 2009 ........9.90 ......9.98 ......8.98 2010 ........9.77 ......8.37 ....10.70 Sweden .............Pedersen Crump Gollob 2005 ......10.00 ......7.26 ......8.52 Crump - 5 matches only 2006 ......10.17 ......9.60 ......8.19 Crump - 3 matches only 2007 ......10.74 ......9.96 ......9.39 2008 ......10.89 ....10.11 ......8.93 2009 ........9.51 ....10.65 ......8.11 2010 ........8.00 ......9.12 ......9.25
  23. re the 'Racino' Full Planning Permission was originally granted by Reading Borough Council on 7 December 2005 [planning no 04/01313/FULL]
  24. Was intrigued by this one as I didn't recognise the name. Alternative spelling 'Chaljavin' rode in 1978 European Junior championship as well but was eliminated at Semi Final stage. Appeared in USSR National Championship Finals in 1977 and 1979 and USSR Junior Championship finals 1975 and 1976 (4th). (Also won semi final in 1978 but doesn't appear in Final.) Russian Championship: 1979 3rd, 1980 6th So I think he exists but it looks as if he disappeared from the scene most of this comes from: http://www.historyspeedway.nstrefa.pl/wyniki.php
