Berwick is in Northumberland. Northumberland is in 'enhanced lockdown' The new rules specifically advise against attending sports events as a spectator. It's still 4 weeks away and there must be a reasonable prospects of the more rural parts of Nothumberland being removed from lockdown earlier than the urban parts, but it looks very touch and go.

British final 2020
arnieg replied to Nassa10's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Schlein has been representing GB since 2014 when he rode in the European Championship as an ACU nomination on an ACU licence. -
Isn't it going to be the final meeting of the season in the international calendar making post match quarantine somewhat redundant.
-
And then onto Leicester?
-
-
My spirits soared to see a fixture list that is actually... a list of fixtures, rather than a list of postponements.
-
Ipswich, 26 September and yes. However if you go to Ippo website the latest news is from 31 July!

British final 2020
arnieg replied to Nassa10's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Wright rode in last year's Cardiff GP as British champion (remember last year's GP was late, so after British Final) -
A good question. I would assume by top GSAs. However most riders have two, PL and CL. There are 17 Brits (inc Schlein) named in PL teams, including Ellis who might be riding in Poland (if fit). Of these Kemp, Ashley Morris and Rowe might lose out to the top riders named only in the CL namely Ritchie Worrall, Kennett and Auty. In practice I suspect that one or two of these may simply decline the opportunity to race. I do hope that plans are underway for a British under 21 & 19 champs as well.

Swedish Elitserien 2020

Interesting that despite the dilution in quality there are still only six Swedes in the top 20 of the averages. (Freddie L and Peter Ljung not amongst them for different reasons). -
Time to send a GB/England touring team abroad?

Wasn't there a suggestion they would have to ride home matches in Poland? -

A fact. Daugavpils were denied promotion for this reason. Of course rules can always be changed if there is sufficient will to do so. -
An odd statement given that only one rider has finished in the top ten EVERY year for the last eight years: Matej Zagar.
-
Zagar is clearly in the world's top ten at present (look at Ekstraliga averages) so clearly deserves to be in GP. What is bizarre is that he has qualified before turning a wheel in this year's GP.
-
I think if either finish outside they are likely to get a wild card pick. But it means Pi. Pawlicki, Drabik or Smektala are unlikely to get a shot no matter they perform for the rest of the season.
-
If Milik beats Zagar it's a 4 man run off. And KK could come last!
-
If Fricke doesn't qualify tonight he looks to be well behind Jack Holder and Doyle for next year's series wildcard nominations
-
Because the Aussies held a a qualifyer (the Aussie Championship) and Fricke beat Holder.

Rest of the GP series

And the introduction of quarantine for those returning from Croatia (where the GP Challenge takes place tomorrow) underlines the wisdom of your decision not to attempt to organise any tours for the rest of this season. -
Including car park, admission and prog Stoke and Kent were both £17 last year. Belle Vue at £12 exc car park was the cheapest. So this is broadly in line with NL admission costs.

Polish Extraleague 2020

So Wiktor Lampart because we are using his Polish spelling BUT Viktor Trofimovs, because it is transliterated from his Ukrainian name which uses a cyrillic script. PS I've often wondered about the rogue 'g' in Togliatti, thanks for the insight.
