  1. Does this mean that the Premier League have given up on their reserve league?
  2. You have contradicted yourself. You assert the engines belonged to the BSPA and you assert that Godfrey gave them away. Godfrey is NOT the BSPA, so are you suggesting he appropriated BSPA assets to pass on to some mate in junior racing? (I don't think that was your intention, but it could be read that way)
  3. Repeating your erroneous statement doesn't make it any less wrong.
  4. You are conflating two separate rules. BP and Crump have both been away long enough to get reassessed, but don't qualify for an additional reduction for missing a year. Most obviously Crump rode in the British Final last year and Bjarne has ridden every season since he left Poole.
  5. Re the Reading Pairs, I have not one, but two (independently) filled in programmes. Both go for 9 and 5
  6. I can add 2009 10,652 2010 8,536 2013 9,086
  7. I think, just for once I'll give the BSPA a pass and overlook the fact that the rulebook contained no reference to an entire season being lost to a worldwide pandemic
  8. There was only one speedway meeting in Ukraine last season, and it was an under 16 event. So difficult to comment much. Loktaev had a good season in Poland and GP challenge, Karpov rode in Poland, but is probably past his best. Levishin and Rozaliuk rode a handful of FIM under 21 events, but that's not much to go on
  9. Goret made good progress last season. I really rate Blodorn, while Ernst and Baumann also look to have promise. Hellstrom-Bangs is the standout Swede at the moment.
  10. I believe if you are travelling abroad you may need to, professional sports certainly bare the cost of testing. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12175588/coronavirus-all-72-efl-clubs-to-undergo-mandatory-testing-next-week
  11. And in addition lower league football teams have been complaining about the cost of all these regular tests (and that's before you start crossing borders). Who's going to pay for testing speedway riders?
  12. Agree entirely. Anything before 1 May is unrealistic, and anything during May would involve lots of organising just so league football teams could have spectators for one last match. Much easier to start from 1 June with new rules after working out ground rules with major Summer sports (cricket, rugby league, Wimbledon, Silverstone). Doubt speedway will even get asked what works for us and we'll just have to accept what has been decided.
  13. 7 July Baltic Cup (20 heats) Individual speedway tournament featuring riders from England, Scotland, New Zealand and Poland 10 July Bronze Helmet Semi Final
  14. It's the fourth item on the list - International Speedway Calendar
  15. Although given the number that run at a loss some will have had a more financially successful year in 2020 than previous seasons.
  16. If that is a response to my earlier comment then Yes. If they expand the scheme to cover both reserve berths in 2022 I guess we'll see Paul Hurry as a rising star.
  17. I'm guessing at inclusion of 125cc/250cc heats (like the Northern Junior League) Might need to switch to 4TT format (like German Team Cup and Sweden Lge 1 who both include 250cc heats)
  18. Not entirely. The follow up question is why has he chosen Denmark (probably no more than 8 fixtures) over the UK? (I suspect Poland, Denmark and Sweden all being in Schengen unlike the UK might be a factor)
  19. Rider replacement. They also use riders who are referred to as 'guests' but they are really riders doubling up.
  20. In covid world we can never be certain. What if it is announced that the season is starting, and there is then a further problem with covid and crowd restrictions are reintroduced? It happened to professional football and it happened to the British Final at Ipswich.
  21. You don't get a reduction for not riding in the UK. You get one for not riding at all. However if the average is more than 3 years old you can apply to have it re-assessed.
  22. What exactly is the point of publishing a fixture list starting 1 May when we already know (as a result of subsequent govt. statements) that an early May start is highly unlikely?
  23. In the last scheme to encourage young riders (Fast Track Elite Draft) one of the participants was a 35 year old in his 20th season of racing.
