Yes he did get an average 3.94, but under rules that translates to a GSA of 4.00

Your not suggesting that Bates may end up with a specially virulent form of covid that requires isolation until October are you?
-
Neil, I'm not sure you understand exactly why ukmartin is so outraged. The booking site publishes the names and exact locations of every customer in the inside seating area. It looks like a clear breach of data protection to me. For example let us imagine I am stalking you and knew you would likely buy a ticket in the restaurant. I could buy the ticket for the seat next to you thanks to the helpfully displayed seating plan. That said I still bought a ticket, but it is not a good system.

BERWICK v NEWCASTLE (Saturday, July 3rd: 7pm)
arnieg replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Presumably a Division One meeting (standard closer to NDL than the Championship). All these meetings are at weekends. Will this be a regular occurunce? -
Think you'll find Rowe already has a 5.49 average as of last Monday.
-
Off - well at least it was a quick decision.
-
Now clashes with England's quarter final in the kick runny thing. Will this go ahead? Will the sensible decision be to bring the start time forward to say 3pm or 5pm?
-
But although he has the higher average (see my earlier post) I think that, for the reasoning outlined by Neil, Nicholls will be at reserve once Ulrich gets a new average.
-
Having checked I agree. I assumed 10 matches (including his 2019 appearances) would be enough. But he's done 7 home and 3 away, so presumably will get an average after one more away match.
-
If the figures here are correct http://www.peterborough-speedway.com/statistics21 Then Ostergaard will be number 1, and Harris at reserve, but you have to go to four decimal places to split him and Nicholls (5.8140 v 5.8144)
-
About 9 points over
-
New greensheets will come in 1 July and I suspect Harris will replace him at reserve.

If we want speedway to be an international sport then these meetings have to be shared around. And without home representation most nations just wouldn't want to go ahead. Not ideal but it's something we have to accept. Personally I'd prefer 3 rounds with the top 5 from each. Feels more symmetrical and it reduces the risk of one pointless ride making qualification almost impossible (as Robert Lambert nearly found out last night). I'd also allocate some of the minnow nations places in a preliminary round to winnow out some of the chaff.

Don't think you can compare them. In last 14 years Kolodziej has been in top 20 of Polish league averages 13 times (the other was 2009 when his team were in liga 1). Lindback has managed that feat just twice, with a highest placing of 16th a position that Janusz has bettered 10 times, and on current form should make that 11 this year. And against much much tougher opposition Kolodziej has won 4 Polish national championships. Lindback has managed just 2 in Sweden.

The real complaint is that the Euro fixtures have been known since February. So why schedule matches against them I the first place?

Armadale v Belle Vue Colts, Saturday 2:30pm
arnieg replied to Al Stewart's topic in National League Speedway
Averages were not amended in 2018 following Rye House's closure, so I would assume it will be the same this time round. That will be tough on Rothery to be lumbered with a 6.5 pt average. -
King's Lynn v Sheffield 17/6/21
arnieg replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Poland postpone matches 48 hours in advance on the basis of poor weather forecasts. And we all agree it's a mark of their professionalism British promoters do the same thing and that is clearly an indication of what a shambolic bunch of cowboys they are. The BSF in a nutshell. -
That was an extraordinary meeting, agree with your assessment.
