  1. If the figures here are correct http://www.peterborough-speedway.com/statistics21 Then Ostergaard will be number 1, and Harris at reserve, but you have to go to four decimal places to split him and Nicholls (5.8140 v 5.8144)
  2. New greensheets will come in 1 July and I suspect Harris will replace him at reserve.
  3. This has happened in the MEP pre-covid. I imagine it will be anyone who can be bothered to turn up in the final.
  4. If we want speedway to be an international sport then these meetings have to be shared around. And without home representation most nations just wouldn't want to go ahead. Not ideal but it's something we have to accept. Personally I'd prefer 3 rounds with the top 5 from each. Feels more symmetrical and it reduces the risk of one pointless ride making qualification almost impossible (as Robert Lambert nearly found out last night). I'd also allocate some of the minnow nations places in a preliminary round to winnow out some of the chaff.
  5. Don't think you can compare them. In last 14 years Kolodziej has been in top 20 of Polish league averages 13 times (the other was 2009 when his team were in liga 1). Lindback has managed that feat just twice, with a highest placing of 16th a position that Janusz has bettered 10 times, and on current form should make that 11 this year. And against much much tougher opposition Kolodziej has won 4 Polish national championships. Lindback has managed just 2 in Sweden.
  6. The real complaint is that the Euro fixtures have been known since February. So why schedule matches against them I the first place?
  7. Averages were not amended in 2018 following Rye House's closure, so I would assume it will be the same this time round. That will be tough on Rothery to be lumbered with a 6.5 pt average.
  8. Poland postpone matches 48 hours in advance on the basis of poor weather forecasts. And we all agree it's a mark of their professionalism British promoters do the same thing and that is clearly an indication of what a shambolic bunch of cowboys they are. The BSF in a nutshell.
  9. That was an extraordinary meeting, agree with your assessment.
  10. Normally at start of month, based on matches up to 23rd of previous month with new riders getting an average after 4 home and 4 away.
  11. That at least explains why I couldn't book tickets, but it is pathetic. As a result I now have a ticket for Scunny instead.
  12. Only occasionally, but there is an extensive junior programme where they compete against their peers. Helpfully reported on by racersandroyals here:
  13. Supporters club coach away trips (even the ones where we broke down) Foreign riders felt genuinely exotic (with the 70s seeing the Danes and Americans going from nowhere to world beaters in the space of a decade) Most of your team re-signing for the following season The roar of the crowd during an exciting race (as opposed to today when all you get is the tutting of your nearest neighbour on the terraces 10 metres away) The ability to go to a different track every night without travelling the entire length of the country (my 1974 holiday itinery - 6 tracks in 7 days all within an hour's drive of our Coventry base)
  14. CRAYFORD 48 Jamie Couzins 0 ( fell in 1st ride and withdrew), Keith Cornell 9+1,, Chris Watts 8, Wil Little 7, James Laker 7+3, Chris Laidlaw 0, Josh Couzins 9+1, Paul Whichello 8+2 CANTERBURY 70 Jack Kingston 14+1, Max Pankhurst 10, Rob Hollingworth 13+2, Mike Osborne 7+1, Nick Laurence 5+1, Rhys Laker 9, Chris Shallcross 9, Martin Tappenden 3
  15. Good to see speedway minnows France and Ukraine represented in the final. I'd go Drew Kemp Kenyan Rew, and a second Russian (Laguta, Saydullin or Kotlyar) for wildcards
  16. There is one due https://wwosbackup.proboards.com/thread/133/josh-auty
  17. Why is it whenever the BSPL negotiates a bulk contract designed to save money it seems to end up costing more? And what did happen to all those GTR engines?
  18. Government only sets out the framework under which local public health officials produce detailed rules. Some local authorities (Wolverhampton, Newcastle, Poole?) seem to have been overly onerous in the restrictions they have laid down. ( and "the" Government only provides a framework for England, as Scotland has its own Government and a different set of rules)
  19. He's got ability on a bike, just not the ability to stay on one.
