  2. Ritchings career consists of a 7 year gap prior to last season. Prior to that his tier 2 career consisted of a handful of matches for Ipswich in 2016.
  3. 6. A single league has too many issues to resolve in the short time available to be anything other than an unmitigated disaster. [Hence if that is an option for 2027 planning should start now]
  4. John Davis 1975. He was allocated to Reading from Oxford. Oxford were allowed a guest until a replacement arrived. Step forward John Davis.
  5. Are people in the gambling world looking at something to replace the revenue stream from greyhounds (which are down to 19 tracks in England and face the prospect of a total ban on the sport)
  6. Lewis Kerr end of 2023 GSA: 8.60 2.5% discount = 0.215 2024 Starting GSA for Berwick: 8.39 [8.60 less 0.21 discount] => the discount is rounded DOWN.
  7. Yes he's an Aussie, but he's also a Brit so qualifies for the reduction.[Killeen rode in the NDL and has ridden in multiple British Championships]
  8. Berkshire's number one would also be an option, although I'm not sure Oxford would be top of Max's list after his 2023 accident.
  9. Yes 3rd in AMA National Championship
  10. A flight from Munich? He has a 9 year old established match average of 8.00, but seeing as he would come in at 6.00 if treated as a new rider there could be an application for a reduction. So in summary you'd guess is as good as mine.
  11. I think it's a great team. Both 'newcomers' have previous spells at Redcar so it is a team that Bears fans can really identify with. In Edwards, Jenkins, Mulford, Scott and Pijper they have no less than five riders with significant potential for improvement. Just needs Allen to find his mojo.
  12. If you went surely you must have noticed there were only about 299 other people there, which might explain its closure.
  13. KJP made his Danish Lge 1 debut in 2018 10 points in 2020 Danish under 21 Final was probably his first notable result (but for covid he would probably have made his DSL debut that year) 2021 DSL regular - sitting between Lasse Bjerre and Philip Hellstrom-Bangs in the averages 2022 DSL av 4.95 and 2nd in danish under 21 2025 DSL av 3.38 (only 3 matches); Pol Nat Lge 4.63 (an easier league than DSL, where Ivacic averaged 6.74). Mitch McDiarmid made his 500cc debut on 11 May 2024. KJP is a perfectly solid signing and a 6 point average should be a reasonable target to aim at. He is a competent rider who has shown steady but not spectacular improvement. There are several younger Danes who are already ahead of him, not just the obvious ones like Bastian Pedersen, Mikkel Andersen, Drejer and Nagel - but also riders like Heiselberg, Breum and Thorst who have largely been unnoticed.
  14. He's 7 years older than Mitch McDiarmid with all the additional experience that implies, yet it was McDiarmid who had the higher average in the Polish under 24 league this year. If I was going to sign a Pedersen he'd only be fourth on my list behind Bastian, Villads and Rasmus.
  15. Time for that rematch against California (track still visible but a bit moist), seeking to revenge that 1936 defeat
  16. But the idea that Chris '15 teams' Harris is 'faithful' was the funniest bit
  17. Also 1/10th of TV money is better than 1/11th of TV money etc
  18. How about a little respect for keeping speedway going for nearly 60 years in their remote outpost?
  19. Let me type this slowly. Imagine you have a team with combined GSA of 39.99. They have an average season with no riders improving and none getting worse. At the end of the season their combined GSA (all other things being equal) will be 42.00. Now imagine you want to sign the same 7 riders for next year ... You can't you will have to replace one rider with another who's average is 2 points lower to get back below 40. So the final outcome is that you've replaced a (say) 7 point rider with a 5 point one - how is that not weakening the team.
  20. Of course if will be weaker. The par will always be 42.. An average team that started the season with a GSA of 40 will over the course of the season rise to 42 as 2024 scores are replaced by 2025 scores.
