  1. Probably not. BUT the longer all alternative options are closed off to them, the more likely the presence of a willing and credible purchaser will mean it becomes their least worst option
  2. Long breaks, inevitable result. Complete lack of atmosphere [there's only so much Hayley and Chase the Ace can do]. But at least we had some class action on track
  3. I've never been overly impressed by Sam Hagon, but having see the way he flew past Rowe, Zac Cook and Tobias Thomsen on Saturday and the way he came back from a poor start on Sunday [which speaks to his mental strength] I am rapidly upgrading my view of him.
  4. It is totally unrealistic to expect bigger attendances for NDL matches. The equivalent competitions in Denmark, Sweden often pull in double figure crowds and Poland isn't much better. Other sports have very little fan interest in reserve and youth teams. Why should speedway be so different?
  5. It's been the rule for nearly 3 decades. David Howe came 5th in 1997 as a 15 year old
  6. So is there no parking tonight? If so nothing about it on Berwick website. Where should one park then? [As I'm sprinting up from Redcar's NDL match there us no way I'll be there B4 6.45pm]
  7. A great way to encourage and motivate your new signing. He's already made one guest appearance - beating Dec Kennedy [current av >5] fair and square - and comparing his NDL/T scores with the likes of Wood, Perry, Hodder and Spencer suggest he should exceed his 2pt assessed average.
  8. In the absence of any data I would suggest the totals for the two tracks are quite similar and a case could be made for both of them. But they are both definitely well ahead of any other track.
  9. Ritchings 2016 GSA was indeed 3.00. His scores: 34 rides, 16 points. So he received the then minimum assessment of 3.00. Given the antiquity of the average, reassessment of his NDL figure and the dropping of the minimum average, 2.00 seems appropriate.
  10. Perhaps because Foord is next in line from the semi final. [Any more drop-outs and Ablitt is next]
  11. Rye House v Eastbourne 4 May 2015 http://www.gbspeedway.com/2015/meeting.php?mc1=x&mc2=f&mc3=x&mc4=Rye House Raiders&comp=NT&meeting=823
  12. Saw one at Rye House about 15 years ago [or rather couldn't see it because of the dust] Edit: it was 4 May 2015 v Eastbourne (second half of a bank holiday double header)
  13. And if they do they win the group, which leaves Redcar as second best runner-up behind Poole. So yes Poole are 100% through
  14. If that was the case surely Killeen would have had a fourth ride at Brum on Monday and not been replaced by 38 year old Craig Cook.
  15. And you can add Fjelsted to the five Jutland teams. I reckon that starting from Vejen there would be six DSL tracks within an hour's drive. For me in outer London the equivalent figure is zero.
  16. No. If Redcar get the bonus at Worky (quite likely), then it only requires a Worky win at Scunthorpe and Oxford would have been out had they lost
  17. An unfair judgement given: 1] he hasn't ridden here since 2014, and 2] all but 7 of his appearances were made when under 21 and a junior still learning his craft
  18. Averaged more than the following in Poland last season: Pawlicki x2 Wozniak Kvech Przedpelski Lidsey Ras Jensen Woffinden Michelsen Doyle
  19. Fans want to see their team win. That means home wins, so the optimum result would be a narrow home win. Keeps KL fans happy and gives Spires fans grounds for belief a home win is just around the corner. Personally I'd be quite content with a 60-30 away win [some hope]
  20. Utter rubbish. Do you think that 1,1,1,1,1 =5 and being on the wrong end of 5 5-1s is as good as 1,1,1,1,1 = 5 and beating five opponents? All that really matters is how many opposition riders have been beaten. In the example above, that has generated so much heat and so little light, all three riders had beaten six opponents in their first four rides making their contributions equally valuable.
  21. I'm pretty sure there were a lot of similar sentiments being expressed at Leicester when they picked up their fourth wooden spoon in 5 years back in 2018. What I find irritating about this mindset is that it is an attempt to silence criticism, no matter how constructive. [You will see similar on the Spires socials too]
