  1. No. The value of riders as assets was effectively the loan fees they could generate. But for every pound of loan fees received lost by clubs with large asset bases a pound of loan fees paid will be saved by clubs with small asset bases. So while it will reduce the value of clubs with large asset bases there should be a compensating increase in the value of clubs with small asset bases.
  2. Probably Demi Blu Harris? Saw her twice last season on 250s (Worky & Iwade), she's got some fight in her.
  3. I think all the major leagues have now been published except the Polish National League [tier 3] which includes the likes of Wright. Flint, Castagna, Riss, Masters, Ellis, Kemp, Lawson, Klindt and Howarth.
  4. A frank and informative response. And what do riders like Ashton Vale, Charlie Southwick and Sonny Springer do next season? 10 NDL matches plus the British under 19 and that's it?
  5. No that's the 2025 rule. It has been announced that (for British riders only) it will be extended to include other reasons for absence in 2026.
  6. I think you need to factor in the riders who exit the NDL pool as a consequence of having moved on to higher things [or retired in Ben Trigger's case]. With Prem and Championship places already will Cairns, Rushen and Scott be looking for NDL places, and have Joe Thompson and Luke Harrison outgrown the league? If some of these riders don't take up NDL spots I think you are looking at 40 or even 38 as the sweet spot for the limit.
  7. He made his Elite League debut in 2004 aged 17 (for Ipswich). The previous season he rode in the Premier League for first Reading and then Arena Essex. In 2003 he also rode in the British League Cup (an intermediate competition) for Ipswich
  8. Correct. The 11.46 figure includes 25 Sept v Leicester which is not included in the final GSA's And no his last Championship average is not relevant as he did not ride in the Championship in 2025.
  9. Rode for Indianerna in Swedish Elitserien
  10. Tasmanian State Championship, Kurri Kurri, New South Wales, 8 December 2018 1 (15) Kye Thomson [QLD] 3 3 2 2 3 13 + 3 2 (4) Zach Cook [NSW] 3 3 3 3 3 15 + 2 3 (12) Ben Cook [NSW] 2 2 3 2 3 12 + 1 4 (16) Josh MacDonald [NSW] 2 1 1 3 3 10 + 3 + f 5 (6) Declan Kennedy [QLD] 1 3 2 1 2 9 + 2 6 (13) Dakota Ballantyne [SA] 1 3 2 2 1 9 + 1 7 (1) Matthew Gilmore [NSW] 2 2 3 1 2 10 + r 8 (8) Jedd List [QLD] 0 0 3 3 1 7 9 (7) Cooper Riordan [VIC] 2 2 x 3 x 7 10 (5) Isaac Hawes [NSW] 3 1 xt 1 2 7 11 (10) Connor Bailey [VIC] 3 0 1 2 0 6 12 (9) Matthew Pickering [NSW] 1 0 2 0 2 5 13 (2) Kane Lawrence [NSW] 1 1 1 1 1 5 14 (14) Alan MacDonald [NSW] r 2 1 0 1 4 15 (11) Tyson Snow [QLD] 0 1 0 0 0 1 16 (3) Mitch Cluff [NSW] 0 0 0 x n 0 This meeting was staged with the intention of providing additional opportunities for riders to achieve a top three position in a State Championship and thereby achieve eligibility for a UK visa.
  11. Don't laugh, one year the Australians staged a Tasmanian State Championship purely to generate visa entitlements, and held it somewhere in Victoria (or New South Wales).
  12. But Tai qualifies under the old rule that has been in the rulebook for several years, so gets his 8% reduction come what may.
  13. The league is a single competition so it makes no sense at all and is a positively stupid idea. [How for example do averages work with different team formats]. What might be workable [the Danes already do it] is different formats for the play-offs. However what would be an excellent idea would be for different formats for the KO Cup and the 'mystery' new competition.
  14. 11 October 2022 - Ritchie Worrall ht 15 at Plymouth .. but it was almost certainly a timekeeper error!
  15. In 1993 ( but Mick Bacon was an earlier vintage)
  16. We know Oxford are in as their season ticket includes 5 Chargers fixtures.
  17. Absolutely. At the very least they should have announced the intention to set up a commission to look at the full range of options for 2027.
  18. It's the former. The rule is already in the rule book, it's just that its scope has been expanded.
  19. I have a degree in Maths and legal training. One tells me it's 8, the other 7.99. I think we should leave if to the BSPL, they are clearly wiser than us. 🙃
  20. And the answer is 7.995 So 8.00 Or 7.99 (using the Kerr precedent). I'm glad we got that clear.
  21. Mathematical convention is you only round at the last stage so 7.995 becomes 8.00 rather than the reduction being rounded up.
  22. That would be wrong for two reasons: 1] mathematical convention 2] precedent Lewis Kerr went from 8.60 at the end of 2023 to 8.39 at the start of 2024. But this is all irrelevant if the rule is 'one rider over 8', as 8.00 is not over 8.
  23. I went to a Premiership rugby match and within a year BOTH teams had gone bust.
