  1. Jamie Pickard is signing number 6 on a 4.24 average http://z11.invisionfree.com/Pottie_Power/index.php?showtopic=2261
  2. Yes, a rider can't double down if his PL average is above 4.
  3. James Sarjeant joins Stoke on a 3.91 http://www.stokepotters.co/D/news.htm
  4. James Sarjeant makes it 5 for Stoke http://www.stokepotters.co/D/news.htm
  5. As an outside bet, and a very outside bet at that, Glen Phillips would come in on a 6.10, thanks to his doing 11 meetings for Stoke in 2009 averaging 3.05. He never got a new average due to needing 12 meetings then, but other riders have been re-assessed due to the change in rules (Theo Pijper being a prime example) so this would put him firmly in the IoW average bracket.
  6. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing Pickard on about 4.5? leaves 6.5 for 2 reserves.
  7. I know you like your figures so here goes: 8.13 average in 08, 5.12 in 09, only rode 3 meetings in 2010. Could be a hit or a bust. *puts rope down for now*
  8. Also signing Barrie Evans so long as he can get some sponsorship down there.
  9. I really hope not. He is one rider I want as far away from Stoke as possible. EDIT: To expand on this, I can see Jamie Pickard joining from Plymouth, and I would love to see one of the Worral's. I can see us potentially going into the season with two 3 pointers at reserve, one of whom I hope is Brendan Freemantle!
  10. Bumping with the third signing, Tim Webster joins on a full transfer from Newport. 6.68 average
  11. On the Stoke forum, Tim Webster is the third signing on a 6.68
  12. So just over 19 points for the top 2! That's possibly the definition of top heavy!
  13. IoW is nice if you fancy a few days down there!
  14. And if so, fingers crossed he is heading to Stoke!
  15. Simon Lambert joins Stoke. 9.13 average
  16. So, Stoke's first signing confirmed on the Stoke forum. Simon Lambert joins on a 9.13 average http://z11.invisionfree.com/Pottie_Power/index.php?showtopic=2226&st=0last
  17. If it is anything like PL and EL, the average is valid for one year after they move up...
  18. It's not as strange as you might think. In the NL, teams don't need to be encouraged to use British riders, as that's pretty much (Barring a couple of Aussies) all they can use. Having the reduction would pretty much defeat the point, as 99% of riders would be getting it. However, moving into the PL, you can have anyone. This is where it is needed, as teams don't have to use the British rider. At least, that's how I always looked at it!
  19. It looks like Hackney replace Rye House Cobra's...so it's primarily a name change, just with Lakeside running the odd meeting. So that leaves 2 more teams, which you would think would be Coventry and Peterborough, although I saw no mention of Belle Vue, who had signalled an intent at running NL?
  20. I see it has been hidden away on the BSPA site, but here says that Hackney will be competing in the NL, sharing duties at Lakeside and Rye House! Does this mean the Cobras won't be competing, but it will pretty much be the same riders under the Hackney banner?
  21. Fair enough, I was thinking more for away meetings! Still, I just hope the rest of your team is appalling so we have a chance of beating you
  22. I suppose, the only question is, do you get second or third option on him! I would presume Redcar meetings take priority, but if it came to King's Lynn and Dudley racing on the same night, who would Adam ride for?
  23. Ah well, we said Ricky Wells would be a heat leader one day
