  1. Given your team contains mainly former Stoke riders, it's only fair!
  2. Started on a 4.24, now averaging 7.5 from all meetings! That's the kind of improvement a team needs!
  3. Thanks for the updates Halifaxtiger, and thank you all for the reports! Jamie seems to go from strength to strength, and I doubt if there is a better number 2 in the league at the moment!
  4. Looks like a very good performance from Stoke. Hopefully some of the people who went can fill us in?
  5. I would argue that, given our only meeting this season ended in a draw, and both teams could claim to be missing key riders, this argument is best left until June 28th, when we prove that we are the best team in Staffordshire
  6. And if they chase the dirt they have a hell of a long way to go! When Stoke went down there, we were 10 down after 4 and lost by 12. Shows how important the track knowledge is!
  7. Hackney to win on the basis that it takes you a race to learn how to ride Lakeside! As proven against Stoke, those first 4 heats are a killer!
  8. He is due to guest for Stoke on Saturday, so I hope he's ok!
  9. Not really. Given that BV were 6 points down, and Dudley had a rider excluded, there was nothing to race for. Belle Vue get a point but couldn't have got any more, Dudley get 2 and would have been relying on an EF or fall from either BV rider in heat 15.
  10. I wish I could be there, gutted to be missing this one! Still, hope the Potters get a good win, 49-41 will do though
  11. Lambert rides, this time it's Buxton replacing their number 1 with a reserve Still, can only see one winner, and they aren't from the land of sheep!
  12. So, tomorrow sees Buxton as the visitors to Loomer Road, hoping that a one point lead from the first leg is enough to take them through. Personally, I can't see it, especially given that Ben Taylor is a doubt, and Rob Branford won't be there (Riding for Redcar at Leicester) Stoke, however, appear to be at full strength, and should seal their progression into the next round, though stranger things have happened!
  13. So, Kyle Newman it is. And another change needs to be made. Wonder who will be dropped.
  14. No, they changed the rules in the off season.
  15. It looked like they had just painted a white line on the car park
  16. Poor meeting thanks to the track being poor, obviously couldn't be helped with the heat and the wind. However, bend 3 seemed to catch a lot of riders out. Stoke threw it away, losing about 8 or 9 points with falls, but I can't see us losing back at Stoke. Need to cut out the silly mistakes in the league meeting. For Buxton, Taylor and Branford looked good, Allot looked alright for 2 rides. Reserves looked very poor. For Stoke, Garrity was a great choice of guest, Pickard would have had a maximum but for 2 falls, Isherwood wasn't great, neither was Atkin. Webster looked quick, Reade chipped in, and Sarjeant looked good when out in front. Gutted we didn't win, but can't forsee many problems in progressing to the next round of the cup.
  17. I may not be Squall, but I reckon: Buxton 41 - 49 Stoke Webster to top score for Stoke with 12.
  18. According to the Stoke press release: Line Ups: Not in riding order : Buxton: Adam Allott ©, Ryan Blacklock, Robert Branford, Dean Felton, John McPhail, Luke Priest, Ben Taylor Stoke: Tony Atkin ©, Jason Garrity (Guest), Gareth Isherwood, Jaimie Pickard, Ben Reade, James Sarjeant, Tim Webster
  19. Presume this is a 3pm start? Anyone heading to it? I'm looking forward to it! Garrity apparently guests in place of Lambert!
  20. Greg Blair may potentially be out there, as is Mark Baseby. Maybe James Birkinshaw as well?
  21. I think they were. It was also good value for both meetings, £17 for the 2 (Or £13 for students!)
  22. Nice to see the 2 Stoke boys score well!
