Anyone who follows motorsport knows talent isnt everything, to not have british riders in the GP would be a disaster, the same disaster that happened to World Superbike this year, very little interest, numbers well down at the british rounds and the dutch round which is well supported by brits, the response about 6 british riders in next years competition to compensate. The number of spanish and italian riders in Moto GP and the supporting series is no accident, these guys are no better riders than the british talent but the factories need spanish and italian arses on 125s to sell bikes in probably the two biggest lightweight markets in the world its interesting that three of the best british riders to now ride in the series have never raced in britian, they did their apprenticeships in spain where they were racing in an ultra competitive factory sponsored championship. Holder may be a hot prospect but he has little or no commercial value to TV companies unless of course they are going to australia again.
