  1. whoops sorry about that, should have done a search first but thanks for the help. If the mods want to delete the thread that would be fine.
  2. I'm planning on buying a ticket to go see the GP in Copehagen this year but I'm having trouble deciding where the best seat would be and would like to hear the oppinions from someone who has been there before. I'm thinking about buying it in section C 6, 10, 9 or 7. They are all on the stretch right opposite from the finish line. But C 9 and 7 is on the upper level and the other two are on the lower level and cost almost twice as much. I don't mind the extra price that much as I would love to get as close to the race as possible, however my concern is wether you have a good look at the entire field field from the lover level so that you can follow the race all the way through the lap. Having never been to Parken before I don't know exactly how low the lower level is. Any thoughts would be appreciatet, thanks.
  3. I do think that it is a much more fair system for the riders but also that yesterdays race what a little bit boring. However I don't think that's only the systems fault, it was the track that was a bit boring. We didn't see a lot of great racing and passings, after the first lap the heat almost seemed finished. Since every point does count a lot in the long run I'm sure were are going to see plenty of great racing in the rest of the GPs.
  4. Absolutely amazing race from Tony, I should have known better than to have ever doubted him because of his injury, the guy is one of the greatest fighters in the world. He just proved once again tonight why he is one of my biggest heroes. What makes his wins tonight even more impressive was that he wasn't ahead from start in all of them, he had a few races where he startet out behind and had to fight for the first place on a track where we didn't see that many passings all night. I can't to see what he can do the rest of the season when he is healthy. Not too good a night for the Danes, I have no idea what happened to Hans but he should have been able to do a lot better and Bjarne also.
  5. DK4 has also launched a sports channel, DK4 sport, which shows the GPs live as well and at least for now you can watch that channel online for free. Just go to http://www.4sport.dk/ and click on "se 4sport her" on the left side of the screen. It's a pretty new channel which is probably why it is for free and I don't know for how long they will continue to offer this service.
  6. and he sure did, what a race from Tony, I'm completely at a loss for words.
  7. Looks great to me, definately sending the message that he is not done yet. I'm not too happy about the fact that they say the pain increased after his first practice, but it is going to take more than that to keep him out of the race. Unfortunately he is probably no longer my favorite to win tonight, and that's not because I don't think he can still have a good race but this years series is so close with so many great riders that even the smallelst setbacks will cost you points. Hope he proves me wrong though.
  8. It would be awesome seing Tony win it all again. I think the fact that he is able to ride in England in the first month or however long he will stay is great for him. He will already have been in a lot of races when the GPs start so he is behind everybody else from the start and on the other hand since it is only in the beginning he will be doing it he won't wear down during the season but stay fit and focused all year long and be able to spend time with his family also. I can't wait to see how Crump reacts to having finally won the title, I have a feeling that he will lose some of his intensity and the frustrations he rode with last year and that it will make him a little slower.

  10. I think the new format is going to make the race much more open for everybody. Also with Crump finally winning it will be interesting to see if he can keep up his intensity level. It's gonna be tough guessing who will be the winner but I will as always be pulling for Tony all the way.
  11. Somone had to excluded and since there was a little bit of contact between the two Nicki would be excluded by most refs even though Jason fell down easily. But I would like to see the refs exclude the guy falling off more often, the only times it happens now is in solo crashes. Holta has gone down very easily many times this year and Crump last night, and every time it is the guy who hits them that get excluded. And then you see other riders being hit but struggling to stay on their bike even though they lose a position or two. So the way it is know the guys who just lay down get awarded and the good riders who can stay on the bike ends up at 3rd or 4th place. If the refs started excluding riders for falling down too easy we would hopefully see a lot less of this. I'm not sure Crump was only acting when he started limping after the crash. Sometimes when you get a big hit you don't feel the pain right away. I was in a car accident once a didn't feel any pain at all for the first 10-15 minutes but aferwards my back was killing me. He had the andrenalin pumping so fast that he probably didn't feel a thing. If you thought it was funny listening to Nicki talk to the ref you would have loved it even more if you understood what he was saying in danish too. He kept calling for Ole Olsen and repeated several times that he can do whatever he wants to when he is in the lead. He might have gone a little overboard but I like athletes with fire and passion. He also said in an interwiev to danish tv a little while after that had to get rid of all of his frustrations at once so that he could start focussing on the next race, and he did seem pretty calm the rest of the night.
  12. Nicki Pedersen had a great night too and won a couple of heats from gate 1 but draw gate 4 in the semis and lost. If he had gotten gate 1 in the semi final he would have had a much bigger chance of getting into the final. It's just part of the game and the only fair way I can think of to decide who get which gate.
  13. I'm getting sick of watching Holta ride. You just know that every time anyone even gets close to him on the inside in a bend he is going to fall down and get the other guy excluded even though he wasn't riding any harder than in any other heat. If he can't control his bike he shouldn't even be in the race. Hans rode hard but wasn't dirty.
  14. 1. T. Rickardsson 2. B. Pedersen 3. J. Crump 4. L. Adams
  15. Don't we First time around maybe but now naaaaaaaaa Okay haven't seen him much lately since he has't been promoted in Denmark. But what about Robbie Williams then?
  16. You do realise how far Esjberg is from Copenhagan don't you? At least a four to five hour drive, a lot longer in a bus I reckon. Plus it costs a lot to drive over the bridge between Fyn and Sjælland.
  17. Nicki claims that he had engine problems and didn't shut down on purpose. Both him and the guy behind him, can't remember who it was, have been fined but I don't know for how much. But I thought the ref was better last night than in the first two GPs, but maybe that was because there wasn't that many crashes. I still don't understand though why they stop a race and let all four riders restart just because a rider almost makes a false start. As long as he doesn't touch the rope it's his own fault that he gets a slower start and I don't see how they can stop it when all four riders make it to the first corner without trouble. It happened once last night in Scott Nichols' first or second heat and it happened a few times in Praque too.
  18. BTW, was I the only one who heard boos when Nicki was presented before the race?
  19. Either that or they are using it instead of "ik og" which is also commonly used.
  20. Bjarne wins and Tony is in the lead, it couldn't be any better (well maybe if Tony had won the final, but it's still nice to see a Dane on top). And once again the GP shows that anyone can get in the final, even the wild card riders. I don't think anybody would have predicted those 4 to go to the final together. They all did a great job tonight.
  21. 1. Tony Rickardsson 2. Thomas Gollob 3. Jason Crump 4. Nicki Pedersen
  22. When it comes to the GP I like so many of the riders that it can sometimes be hard to choose who I want to win. Even though I'm danish TRick is definately my favorite and I would love to see him win it again. Secondly I cheer for the danish guys and also like Crump and Gollob and then, well the rest of them. I don't even think there is any of the GP riders that I really don't like.
  23. Yeah, that's almost how I reacted for a little while there. I hardly even noticed that his hand was caught in the wheel in the beginning, all I noticed was that he didn't move at all. And I don't know if this was only on danish television but because of the delay they had to change sattelite and the signal was gone for a few minutes while Tony was getting checked by the medics, that was really frustrating. But thank god he was able to get right back on the bike, and even won the heat.
  24. I noticed that too. It was Holta who injured his foot and had to jump back on his own. I was amazed that no one came to help him. When Tony crashed I remember the camera was on him for what seemed to be forever and you didn't see anyone coming to help him and he was laying completely still. At that point I was sure that he had passed out and possibly injured his head or neck cause he had the front wheel of the bike over his head when he slided. Medics did come then though and they were pretty quick at bringing in the ambulance. When Hancock crashed I think the reason they didn't get to him right away was because he quickly got up on his own even though it looked like he had hurt his arm. It seems like the medics on the field only come to help when a rider is down and can't get up by himself, which is completely wrong in my oppinion. They should at least talk to the rider and hear if he feels okay after every crash but most times they just stay on their position.
