  1. Is there no double points option in this tournament? I thought it would be same rules as SWC and expected Hougaard to do a double in 22.
  2. I can't believe that they stopped the meeting with 6 races to go to show bingo Maybe they would have stuck with it if the Danes were still winning
  3. Damn. Got told by someone at track that stream would end at 16:00. I was hoping he was wrong
  4. A bit harsh. Even the best in the world struggle to pass Chris Holder.
  5. If you just put the mms link straight into media player's open url option, it should work...It did for me
  6. Just about to start now. DK4 are showing the event online if anyone is interested in watching it.
  7. Huge thanks to Rico for organising the trip, and to Tommy for getting us into the free bar. No thanks to Nikki for taking all the alcohol onto the coach that I wasn't on
  8. Don't think Swindon have a match, but are Ipswich not due a double header with Poole and Coventry? No Hampel would scupper them.
  9. Sadly the Czestochowa match has been washed out, ruining the feast of internet viewing
  10. Bah...bunch of show-offs. I've not even started packing yet, and got plenty to do before I even get to that stage... Hopefully I'll get it all done in time, and will see you in Bydgoszcz on Friday (tomorrow night is a night out in Warsaw)
  11. The fact that there ARE qualifiers for the SGP series makes it an anomaly in the World of top level motorsports. Do you similarly dismiss the merits of the championships of F1, MotoGP, WSB, WRC, etc? Much as I do appreciate the availability of the spaces in the SGP for qualifiers, invariably over the years any of the guys who come through the qualification rounds perform worse than the guys that get given the wildcard slots...and that's not really surprising. The qualifying final is a single metting, so it encourages the qualification of lucky riders and track specialists at the venue where the final is held. I would actually support a change to a system where no qualifying rounds were held, but the bottom seven in the GP series were thrown in with 9 selected riders and forced to race at least 2 or 3 rounds to determine who would get the places for the next SGP series. Even better would be to have this qualifying series using the old SGP format with 24 riders, to give an even bigger spread of selections. I think your hat is safe...Not because what you say isn't true, but because Ryan will probably not get through at ZG. Of course, I'll be there shouting my loudest for him in the hope that he does (because I like Sully, not because I don't want Holder in the SGP) Actually, I just looked up his form at ZG....Maybe Ryan will make it
  12. lol...He kept saying it, and I kept thinking, "No he isn't"...What a clown Millard is. There were a couple of times tonight that I thought it sounded like Kelvin was ready to snap and have a go at him...He definitely sounded like he was trying to hold back when Millard was rambling on about wasting time regrading the track! There was some good action tonight, but it really was a shame that the track was in the shape that it was. I have certainly seen Daugavpils providing a much better surface for racing than that. If the track conditions were Ole's doing, you really have to wonder how long the organisers of the GP series will put up with his track prep....it's killing great speedway tracks. I also have to echo what others have said, Crump was fantastic in the final. Great stuff from him. It seemed that Nicki was a bit overly concerned with moving Tomek out the way and paid the price...As for Tomek, didn't he come good after he was allowed to hand out instructions to the tractor driver For a while tonight, I thought that Scott was going to finally prove Subedei wrong, but instead he flopped spectacularly after a great start. It's almost unbelievable that he could miss the semi finals after having 5 points from 2 rides while Bjarne made them after having 0 from 2...
  13. Awww......Please tell me it's outside the hotel's side door instead then!!
  14. Always good to hear that you are carefully following the GP series
  15. It will be interesting to see whether Scott races on Tuesday or not. Surely if he had made the decision to drop Swedish speedway he would have told his team and wouldn't be selected... My initial thoughts that Balakovo were giving him enough cash that he didn't need Sweden any more might need to be revised
  16. Not wanting to knock Adam but, seriously, HOW??? Looking forward to hearing how he managed to beat out the big guns tonight.....Much respect to him for this result.
  17. Haha! You are so right. He is a star of those videos. Maybe soon Sky will realise his talents and replace Nigel Pearson with Lawrence
  18. Surprised there is no comment from Subedei with THJ failing to arrive for Gorzow after racing for Edinburgh last night? I guess he only comments when Tomas misses British matches!
  19. I am not 100% sure, but I think Marcus Bisson was from the Channel Islands. Anyone else able to confirm that?
  20. Congratulations to the Danes....I think they have by far the best 5 riders at the moment, and they ultimately deserved their victory. At the same time, I think that the Poles deserve a lot of credit for their efforts in Vojens. I didn't give them a hope of winning before the meeting, but they made it a great battle....If they had only picked PePe, who knows what would have happened (was that put in just for Subedei, or was it because it was truly what I believe.....I wonder!) However, the FIM seriously need to look at their rules for the SWC...A reserve is essential in these matches. OK, the rules were abused last year, but why go back to no reserves, why not offer a reserve that can replace anyone at any time? You could almost see the fight drop out of the Aussies when Jason had to withdraw...OK, even a reserve couldn't have covered for someone as good as Jason, but it might have given them the desire to fight on....
  21. GB shouldn't be doing as badly as they did, though. As I said earlier...Look at the Swedish team. Their team is no better than the GB one on league form. The only difference would appear to be that they either have some national pride or they were better motivated by their manager....
