  1. Just the pre match practice laps at the moment.
  2. Another from Sweden. Very different from the earlier one I posted but still a good race.
  3. According to one site I have seen, Sergei is currently 28 years old. Do you know what injury he suffered in that crash?
  4. Polish riders can be listed at 8/16 as long as they are under 23. Several teams used Poles in these positions last year. I'm fairly sure that if the rider is Polish and under 21, they can replace reserves as well as riders in the top 5.
  5. For non EU Nations there are currently different requirements for different Nations, and you would have to assume it will be the same for EU Nations when things have to be reworked. For example, the top 4 in the Russian National Championship are eligible but only the winner of the Ukrainian National Championship is.
  6. That's an interesting statement. Wasn't he the first to sign a "less suitable" rider as well? Rasmussen may well have been a success in the league but Peter Schroeck certainly wasn't!
  7. Pedantic, I know, but Edinburgh have 1 Norwegian not 1 Dane.
  8. He did 6 meetings in the NJL last year. 7 from 3 and 6 from 2 were his results at the Dale in the 2 NJL meetings he did there, but the 6 from 2 isn't quite as impressive as it may sound. He was the only finisher in each race
  9. Jason has done the occasional meeting in Australia since his retirement from European racing.
  10. As you say, Emil, Sergei Darkin and Renat Gafurov all raced in the UK as did Ilya Bondarenko and Denis Gizatullin. I'm struggling after that but probably forgetting someone.
  11. The Swedish site AktuellSpeedway usually does a good job with league results. The table for 2019 is on the following link. Dropdown allows you to switch to the other years. http://se.aktuellspeedway.eu/serietabell/ligue-nationale/
  12. Valeri is still actively involved with the sport as the head coach of the Balakovo club...or at least he was last season. I presume he's continuing for 2020.
  13. I had no idea Haru Aoki did AutoRace these days. He was a fantastic rider at 125cc level in the road racing GPs in the 90s, winning the World title twice. He never really delivered in the higher categories, but it's nice to know he's still out there racing bikes!
  14. Don't forget Sergei Logachev who did a great job for them this year despite his horrible crash in the middle of the season. I'm sure he'll be hoping to be involved in the team, and I'm fairly sure he's too old for the number 8 berth.
  15. Yes. The only way such a system makes sense is to run it on a conference basis, in the style of American sports. Anything else would be madness. My expectations that speedway has chosen the sane option are fairly low.
  16. Chmiel and Kildemand were confirmed at Gdansk along with Rasmus Jensen, Aleksandr Kaibushev, Piotr GryszpiƄski and Amadeusz Szulist.
  17. A stupid idea coming from Castagna does seen a possibility I wonder if IMG are also changing the points system in the Rallycross World Championship. It's probably the closest to speedway of other motorsports (heats and then semi and final for top scorers in the heats) and it has a scoring system that can also see the winner of the round score less World Championship points than others. If that's staying the same we can probably assume that it's not IMG that had issue with the scoring system
  18. To be honest, if he was to come back I would expect it to be for track time and an opportunity to rebuild confidence rather than purely money. That seems a bit harsh. He's far from his best of a few years ago but he's still better than a lot of what raced in the league here this year...and he doesn't just do it all from the gate!
  19. I could imagine that Peter Kildemand might be tempted to return here to try and rebuild his broken career.
  20. Ahhh, but then you get into the details of what this person calls an "assault". Apparently the SCB didn't see it the same, so there may have been a good reason for their decision. I guess what we have learned is that any SCB decision needs to have a proper explanation publicly published.
  21. Nah, PePe is starting his charge back to the SGP series... If Greg can still get a place at 50 there is plenty time for PePe
  22. Piotr Pawlicki and Maksym Drabik are both being reported as having withdrawn from this meeting. It's crazy to think that their unavailability for a meeting in 2019 could keep them out of the SGP until 2022.
  23. Champions league coverage on the Tuesday for the most recent week that figures are available has a viewing figure of 806,000 on BT Sport 2.
