  1. I purchased the live stream and that also allows viewing after the meeting. I just checked and what is available to me just now ends after heat 8, so it looks like they have an issue, yes.
  2. I agree 100%. Edinburgh have led the way with streaming, and other tracks should be doing the same. I recall that I got the chance to watch a Dale meeting live a couple of years ago when I was in Denmark for the week, and that was something completely new to me from British Speedway. I'm not sure that Edinburgh have received enough credit for their efforts in this area in the past. Tonight I got to enjoy a live stream when I wouldn't have been able to get to the stadium due to work commitments. With the pre-covid geo restrictions on the streams I wouldn't have had that opportunity. Once crowd restrictions are removed, I assume the geo blocks will go back on. I wonder if there might be a chance to have a "local people" pay rate for the stream for those of us who just cannot get to the Dale in time after work? I'd be happy to pay the normal admission price to get a stream on the nights I can't make it...but I understand if the club wouldn't be keen to do this due to the potential of multiple locals watching a single stream.
  3. The 1 other league restriction is only for Ekstraliga. Niels is not racing Ekstraliga this year in Poland. Milik and Lebedevs are with the same club in Poland - Krosno.
  4. I note that the statement on the official SGP says that the series starts in Prague on July 16th. Does that confirm that the TBC in their calendar for June 16th definitely won't be happening anywhere?
  5. Quite possibly the oddest question that I have ever asked on this forum, but does anyone know if Russian riders are allowed to be Russian riders in the SEC? I thought that Russians couldn't be Russians in major international sports events due to the WADA rulings...but after watching the Formula 3 today and seeing a Russian on the top step of the podium with a Russian flag and given the Russian national anthem, I was confused. From what I gathered from random forums and reddit was that it was OK in F3 because it wasn't a "world championship"...despite the fact that it has drivers from any nation and is scheduled to race across continents. So...I am thinking that SEC is fine for Russians to be Russians, but was wondering if anyone knows for sure if this is the case?
  6. I had problems getting into the stream and only joined it live after heat 7, but once I was in the stream was great. Good image quality and zero buffering for me.
  7. Yes. If you bought the stream the full video remains available to watch again for some weeks afterwards. At least, that is how it has worked for Edinburgh live streams in the past and as the video is available to me now, so I assume it's still the same.
  8. Yes. That meeting is one that they showed live last weekend.
  9. I'm not sure how this comment is relevant. The meetings have been cancelled. Premier Sports can't show something that isn't happening.
  10. It's been fun reading about Wembley dreams on a thread about Odsal.... I'm totally confused about why some think that Wembley would automatically mean a 55k crowd. When Wembley was used, there were a bunch of tracks with good crowds around London. There are none now. Speedway is dead in the capital. I get the dream of the "history", but the current Wembley stadium ISN'T the one that the history was at, and I'd be surprised if thousands of extra fans turned up JUST BECAUSE it was Wembley. Let's not forget that Ullevi also had a pretty good history in the sport, but didn't really capture the crowds for a GP. Let's also not forget that the racing at the old Wembley generally wasn't anything to get too excited about. Cardiff has been called boring by a good few on this thread. Feel free to call me crazy, but I've seen more good races from Cardiff than I have from Wembley. Most of the old World Final races from Wembley that I have seen have been, frankly, awful. There were a very small number of classics, but most of the racing was gate and go boredom...In my opinion, the World Finals at Odsal (sorry for bringing up the subject of this thread) provided FAR better racing than either Wembley or Cardiff, but Cardiff is STILL the best option for a GP in the UK for many reasons, if you ask me (especially if the Welsh are willing to chuck a bunch of cash at our sport )
  11. I didn't get a chance to see this before it was taken down. Did anyone else watch? How did Wiktor Przyjemski look? A seemingly impressive score for a youngster even if it wasn't the toughest opposition at this level.
  12. Two good meetings to watch tonight. I enjoyed them both. Leszno have to be worried about the performance of Doyle so far. I certainly am as I picked him for my fantasy league team Their team this year is built on the top 5 all delivering as they don't have the reserves they used to. Czestochowa also must be worried about Woryna. He is delivering nowhere near what they must have expected to get from him. They'll have been relieved to see Freddie have a good one tonight, though...a lot more like what you'd expect from him ( although ZG probably aren't the toughest of opposition at the top end)
  13. Never easy to be sure with auto translation but sportowefakty report seemed to suggest that as there was no exclusion as a cause of the incident, no replacement is allowed. Seems an odd one if that's the rule.
  14. Is that relevant when the post you are replying to is comparing Cardiff to the NSS?
  15. I don't think Birkemose had a positive test. It sounded like it was just an admin mess up. They didn't submit the results of the negative test in time for him to be included in the team at the weekend.
  16. 1988 Intercontinental Final in Vetlanda. Gundersen let Ivarsson by in his last race to set up a run off for 2nd with Nielsen and Jonsson. Winning the run off got you race number 9 in the final. Finishing second got number 1. Coming off the last bend Nielsen slowed dramatically, Gundersen reacted and also slowed so that Nielsen just crossed the line first. I thought I had seen this race on YouTube before but can't find it now...Heat 17 where Gundersen sets up the run off is there, but I can't find the run off
  17. Probably for the same reason as F1 (1 round in Russia) and MXGP (2 rounds in Russia) think they are "exempt" and still have events on their calendars. The ruling seems to have stated that events in Russia must be cancelled "unless it is legally or practically impossible to do so." If contracts were agreed before the ban was implemented, it may not be possible to get out of these without legal implications, in which case they may be able to go ahead.
  18. Does anyone know what the visa requirements for EU riders like Goret are? Now that we have left the EU they must surely have criteria similar to those which US, Australian, Russian, Ukrainian, etc riders have to meet.
  19. According to the doc on the SpeedwayGB website, the qualifying criteria for 2019 and 2020 were: United States individual AMA Championships Top 4 American Final Top 4 AMA Nationals Top 4 I can't see a doc for 2021 and I'm not sure that all these events were held last year.
  20. From what I've read, Brady was leading his semi final but went wide and rode off the track (no fence on the outside) and so was disqualified.
  21. I guess that if it doesn't have one now, it'll have to have one soon with the stox starting up and the Bulls planning to return mid year.
  22. It just seems like the sport is caught up in something that isn't really relevant to it. I find it hard to believe that ice speedway has been a sport that the Russian authorities have been concentrating on for mass doping...Yes, they may have been doing things wrong in other sports, but ice speedway seems unlikely. I'd rather the FIM could just ignore the issues of other sports and get on with running speedway better.
