Trick At The Millenium Stadium
rabbit replied to philcrumpisgod's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Nice post PCiG...I've said my piece on Tricky and his attitude to the EL, but at the end of the day his record speaks for itself. And I've hated to see the immense presence he has been on the world scene reduced to an also ran. I sincerely hope to see the Tricky of old riding at Cardiff. It would be a fitting farewell for the guy. -
Will probably be going to Newport to watch the battle between the Welsh and Scots on the Friday night. If I don't see you on the Friday - no doubt we'll catch up on the Saturday.

1pm? You starting late Jay?

About £5 - not sure though cos you get one free with your GP ticket.

Under 21s World Team Cup
rabbit replied to GM's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Didn't Jon Cook say when withdrawing Lewis Bridger from the squad that he didn't need the U21 level of competition and should be considered for the senior squad? I'd assume that with Kennett also in the Eastie team now where some of the pressure to pull us out has come from. Very poor judgement in my opinion - these lads need international experience in any guise. Can we expect to see our riders withdrawing from the world U21 Championship also because they 'don't need it'? -
Cardiff Or Wembley
rabbit replied to Tailgunner's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
No-brainer in my book - Cardiff wins every time on every front. Soon as it ever went to Wembley I'd stay at home and watch on TV. -
Brewery Quarter = Chiquitos. Yum. Followed by a trip to the PoW. What more could you ask for?

...or a miracle worker. You can get everything right with the set-up but at the end of the day it's down to the bloke out on track, and if he ain't got it, he ain't got it.

Have to say i agree with you SCB. Unfortunately there is such a big gap between the say, top 10 riders in the world and the rest, that they end up looking second rate when we all know that they're not when talking league action. PUK and Anton are still so young so can be excused, and I think you can add Zagar to that since I'm not convinced he'll be that great on anything other than the big tracks like Slovenia and Poland at this stage of his career in the GPs. Bjarne was injured for the last GP and did better in this one. My only gripe is really with PePe - it's a complete surprise he was ever picked again. don't know what to make of the Brits - i try to support them each time, but tbh it's so damn hard when they goof up each time. Being totally objective i'd say that Andersen must feel totally p'd off to see Richardson especially bumming out each time. Don't know what the answer is - if i did I could make a fortune out of these riders!

Another to add to his repetoire of gross-outs live on TV. Adding to the wiping of his armpits and then his face with the same rag, we now have the action shot of him hocking a loogie. He's like the speedway uber-slob. Can just imagine the director in his truck having a coronary when that shot passed in front of his eyes - they changed cameras pretty damn quick. PS..I actually like the bloke before any of the humour deficient brigade jump on me. -
M32 row 1 - think it might be a bit crowded flag wise in that section so might leave mine at home this year.

Have to say I do feel sorry for Rickardsson - sub-consciously I think he's switched off already and lost the edge. He's been one of the greats of the last 10 years and to see him looking so poor isn't good in my book. Maybe he should have quit last year at the top - he's showing signs of Hans in his last season. As for the GP felt sorry for Hancock but Crumpy was on a mission tonight. Anton started so well and then had a bit of a mare - glad Bjarne came through OK though and somehow managed to scrape into that semi. Can only agree that Hans and maybe PK can feel aggrieved at having been overlooked seeing some of the performances tonight and in the last 2 GPs. The Brits need some serious TLC or something - it doen't bode well for the SWC at this rate. Can't say it was a thriller - was spending more time watching Eurovision after 8pm. Bring on Cardiff - least if the racing's not too hot at that one you can just nip off and get another beer. -

Good point...be interesting to see how willing some of the usual suspects are to kick up with Ole in charge telling them to get on with it. -

Just in case the weather does win tonight - does anyone know when the re-staging for it would likely be? Tomorrow? -
Hey matey - have you tried www.SportoweFakty.pl - it's the most referred to on here for Polish speedway and always seems up to date with everything speedway related. That's the link to Ekstraliga but you'll find the whole of the other Polish leagues on there too.

New Elrc Date.

If whoever it is can be bothered to take part. Yep, you can. -
Think you might be right with that theory. It was really getting on my proverbial at the start of the meeting.

Not a great night for Bjarne, Anton and to a lesser extent KK. Obvious reason though...they're suffering from EL-itis. After all big meeting on Wednesday. Jusy hope Bjarne hasn't aggravated his injuries - he's still not 100% after his Ippo prang. Thought it was pretty dull tonight for the most part, livened up a little towards the end. Big credit to Nicki P - riding with those still recovering arms, and getting up from a crash to win the rerun. The guys totally alien I swear it! Bit of a topsy turvy one for places though - if you look at who was top 8 and who wasn't, seemed a lot of guys just not at the races tonight who would normally be. Still fair play to Zagar and Hampel for taking advntage I guess. Roll on Sweden.

Fraud would intimate a pre-meditated decision to con the public. Anyone can see that this was not the case - Todd was for all intent and purposes retired until his change in circumstances and the fact he's trying to rebuild his life - that the BSPA have sanctioned his return should be an end of the matter. Agree with you Tabby 100%.
