Well done to Kye Norton good meeting for his first time at Sheffield. Congrats to Joe and the other lads it certainly was a pleasure watching them. I have travelled to watch a couple of the under 15's this season and last and yet again I have to say congratulations to Peter Oakes for the hard work he has put in with these lads. -

With regards to riders help etc I know when Josh came off in practice he was most impressed that Ryan Sullivan had gone over to see if he was OK. I am sure that just being on the same track as the GP riders was a real boost to their confidence. -
Will The Gp Move To Wembley?
barrylyn replied to Blazeaway's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Taken from the Wembley website it appears Athletics have been considered Though designed primarily for football, rugby and music events, the new Wembley Stadium is also capable of hosting world-class athletic events. A revolutionary solution has been developed to ensure that both football and athletics fans can enjoy perfect views, thanks to a temporary athletics platform that can be installed when necessary. If Wembley is required to host a major athletics event, the prefabricated platform can be built over the lower bowl, covering some of the seats but creating the increased surface needed to fit an athletics track. The platform will take just a few weeks to install and remove, making Wembley a versatile, multi-sport venue. There has been significant progress on securing land for a potential athletics warm-up facility after discussions with the London Borough of Brent. Four possible sites have been identified, with Sherrins Farm likely to prove the most deliverable solution. Of course Speedway is just a 'MINORITY' sport in the eyes of some but for me a trip to Crdiff which I have visited every year has become bigger and bigger each year with crowd numbers and I for one would like it to stay in Cardiff. -
Can we as the Halifax Dukes also wish the lads all the best for Saturday, special luck to our local lad Josh we will be watching you.

Dan Kirkman's Tapes Injury
barrylyn replied to BriG's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
I must admit having been at Armadale my thoughts ran on the same thread why didn't they automatically break? It is indeed a great concern if tracks are possibly using the wrong quality materials for the tapes surely a matter for health and safety since this has been brought out into the open. Maybe as Peter Oakes suggested the tapes should be tested by the referee prior to all meetings to check they break on impact as part of his/her track inspection. Best wishes to young Dan for a speedy recovery -
Well done to all the young lads for going out in far from good conditions and getting on with the racing, here's hoping the riders who had to withdraw through their crashes suffered no bad injuries. Josh once again you were superb, well done to all the lads for their hard work and to the crowd that turned up in the bad weather to support them all I am sure like me you all enjoyed a good afternoons racing. Good luck for Monday everyone, sorry Josh can't make Weymouth but keep up the good work. JL says well done sorry she missed it!
