  3. Being covered in shale is and has always has been part of speedway, having been a fan for over 40 years now I always feel going to Scunny is watching a 'real' old fashioned speedway meeting where you went home covered in shale and dust! Oh the good old days!!!
  4. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone on behalf of Wayne and the committee. We all hope you had a great day and thanks to the Edinburgh fans for their great support, the fans that travelled up from Wolverhampton and we even met some fans who had made the journey from the Isle of Wight. We hope you all liked the emu racing I know for definite the riders enjoyed it well done Gary Flint and thanks to the other riders for joining in the fun. Wayne very much appreciates your years of support
  5. This is urgent we have been let down by someone who was bringing their 4 x 4 pick up to parade the riders around the track before the start of the meeting and now desperately need another truck we have one but need someone who would be willing to allow us the use of their vehicle on the parade. If you can help please email me on lynmacmd@aol.com Many thanks
  6. That's good sign the word sunny fingers crossed it stays that way throughout the afternoon and into the evening.
  7. Unfortunately the Powers that be changed the rules and the Elite League riders who had declared they would ride in the meeting we had to turn down due to the new rules. It is a shame as like many of you I think its great for Conference League fans to have the opportunity to see some of the top Elite boys in action P.S. The emu racing is at the interval P.P.S. Lets hope the sun shines and we all have a good day tomorrow
  8. Just been informed that Ben Wilson is the rider replacing the injured Andre Compton. We have bids coming in now for the referees assistant on Sunday anyone else interested? Also more bids wanted on Tony Steeles assistant at an Elite League meeting?
  9. To confirm entrance costs are ADULTS £10.00 OAP/CONCESSIONS £6.00 CHILDREN UNDER 16 £1.00 We also have side car challenge races during the meeting. Also pre meeting and halftime entertainment. Including emu racing! After the meeting an auction will be held for the riders race jackets and a bit of a do in the club house We will also have tombola stall, kiddy entertainment and a giant raffle with prices of a weekend for two/large booze hamper/large Easter egg hamper We also will have a once in a lifetime chance for one lucky supporter to win Waynes Number 1 Championship winning Scunthorpe race jacket, tickets for this will be £1.00 each and will be sold just inside the gate as you come in and will be drawn directly after the parade, JL will be selling these tickets so have your £1.00 coin ready to pay her when you come through the gates. News on Andre to follow
  10. Due to regulations in place we are unable to use elite league riders (which of course we would have liked due to Wayne having at some point ridden with many of them). We are using premier riders were we can but due to commitments abroad and meetings taking place on the same day we can not get all of which we would have liked. We have just heard abut Andre and hope that he is ok.
  11. The referee's assistant for the day did have a bid of £50 on it but due to ill health the bidder as had to withdraw, therefore anybody wishing to make an opening bid please email on jl231188@hotmail.com, even a tenner could win you such a once in a life time chance. Im sure everyone out there has just once wanted to push that exclusion light well nows heres possibly your chance! I defintley did want to shout it out!!!!!!!!!!! Hope to see many of you there.
  12. To be honest I am not sure but I will try and find out for you and respond asap
  13. The final riders have been confirmed for the final Crusade at Scunthorpe next Sunday April 1st. Added to the line up already announced are Americans Chris Kerr and Brent Werner. Sam Ermolenko has agreed to match race challenges with Wayne. We will have sidecar racing, emu racing and much much more. Come along and support one of the sports Mr Nice Guys and enjoy a great day out for all the family. Mod Note;- Agian please do not post in capitals. This is the one and only time I will retype your post. Thanks
