Oh PULEEESE! Yeah its ultra quick bikes - probably with illegal fuel or additives if the tin foil hat brigade are to be believed - that allow him to perform the maneuvers that he can carry off. Were you even WATCHING the meeting tonight?!!!
-
I totally agree but the damn thing was there to be used tonight...and every team used it so no-one can say it wasn't 'fair'! The bitterness shown by some on here is totally pathetic...some people really need to grow up! POLSKA!!!
-
I can't believe that people are moaning about this meeting. Every team got to use the joker so there was no advantage there and Pedersen spends half his life on his backside anyway so the fall is no great surprise. No -one could ever accuse me of being a Pedersen fan but credit to him for getting off the track...people on here normally moan constantly about people NOT getting off the track! Fabulous meeting with some awesome racing...heat 25 was out of this world! Congratulations to Polska...and the wonderful Tomasz Gollob!!!

Speedway World Cup Team Line Ups

I just looked up the word 'Bridger' in the dictionary and its defined as 'overrated tool' and 'arrogance far outweighs talent'. If previous 'incidents' with this plonker (and there are quite a few!) weren't enough evidence then this latest behaviour just shows what a complete moron he is! -
I agree with most of this - except I'd love to see Tomazs win another title! I like American riders most of the time but Hancock is the one I never really took to. Of course the Cradley/Wolves thing is part of it but I didn't fee the same about Hamill...even before he rode for us! I would have had Billy in my team in a heartbeat but Greg...no thanks *yawn*
-
Did I say that he did? TBH On this occasion I'm very much in the 50/50 camp - probably more like 60/40 in favour of Pedersen - but that's irrelevant to what I'm saying. Its also with the benefit of hindsight...at the time when Nicki was doing his childish finger waving it wasn't clear exactly what happened. The finger waving was his cynical attempt to influence the ref and stir up the crowd. No way could he know 100% for sure that he hadn't caused Harris to fall off...lets be honest people can't even agree NOW whether he did or not! None of this changes my original point...have you ever seen Nicki say he was at fault when someone came off - even on those occasions when he was doing an impression of a bowling ball? Or to admit he dropped it?
-
Come on Shawn you should know by now that it is NEVER Nicki's fault...EVER! If he knocks someone off then they took a dive and if he falls off then someone else must have knocked him off...it was ever thus!

TOMAAAAASZ!!!!!!! :approve: Absolutely chuffed to bits for him...he has so deserved this for so long!

So let me get this straight...Shazzybird says she saw SCB/Silver Bee et all cheering when Rory fell off, which they deny, and she actually spoke to one fo them about it last night....is that correct? My question is, even if you don't believe their answer what was the point in having a go at them on here? Other than to be holier than thou? If I have a problem with someone at a meeting I will tell them so and deal with it there and then....to then bring it up on here just to try and belittle other posters is unecessary and petty! Oh and I'm no great mate of either of those you decided to 'name and shame' - far from it as I'm sure Silver Bee will confirm! - I just think it is ridiculous! -

I hope all the 'Woffinden's really an Aussie' crowd were watching. The kid rode his guts out... especially after his crash and he looked so damn proud to be up on the rostrum listening to God Save the Queen'!!! Good on ya Tai....your Dad would be so proud! -
You just can't help yourself can you Snyper? Why do you find it so difficult to get your point across without being abusive?

I'm assuming from these two posts that you are an adonis who is perfectly comfortable with their sexuality................... In my experience homophobic people are more likely to have something to hide..................... -
Fair enough....as a huge PK fan I just get annoyed that his 'victory' that day is frequently put down to the fact that Scott was robbed. The fact is that PK was riding better than Nicholls that day anyway and the chances are he would have won the race anyway. There was no 'collusion' between PK and Andersen - Andersen made the decision to lock down Nicholls himself. PK was just riding his own race on the best line. You are right that these things have happened before and will happen again but that's the nature of the game. For years the Americans used to 'help' their fellow countrymen through to the World Finals etc and people were often up in arms about this. Personally I think it was the Brits who got it wrong and were too busy trying to be the number one brit all the time instead of helping each other. Other people may disagree with this but that was my personal opinion at the time and remains so now!
-
Then you'll also remember that the fastest line that day was round the outside down the back straight.....exactly where PK was riding.
-
This is one of speedway's great myths...that GB would have won the title that year if Hans hadn't got in Scott's way. This was rubbish then, and it's still rubbish now! Certainly Hans stopped Scott from getting past but it fails to acknowledge that PK - who'd been brilliant all night - had made a superb gate and was half a straight ahead of Scott and Hans at the time. SWEDEN won the title that year...GB were not robbed of certain victory!

Is this the tattoo he had done when he was 16, was living in Australia (since he was a baby) and had not decided for certain he was going to be a professional speedway rider let alone which country he was going to ride for. At that point he obviously 'felt' Australian...what's wrong with that? My mate at work has her ex-husband's name tattooed on her wrist. Does that mean she shouldn't have divorced him (even though he was sleeping with half a dozen other women) because she'd made her choice and wasn't allowed to change her mind? Some people on here really, seriously need to get out more....preferably NOT just to the speedway once a week but into the 'real' world occasionally!!!!
-
With respect to my mate Jonah....and he and I have been mates for years....they probably didn't make one big enough to fit!
-
I did wonder if this was the case - and did hint at such earlier in the thread but that's not good enough for those who still resent the fact that Tai wasn't 100% sure who to ride for when he first came over to the UK. A bit like Grachan said it's the fact that he 'mght' prefer another country to Britian that winds some people up....how dare anyone not be overjoyed at the mere suggestion of being British! I'm not a Scott Nicholls fan and this too is an offense likened to treason in some people's eyes. But hey lets slag off a kid at the beginning of his career so he regrets his choice - which he was perfectly entitled to make, some of us don't get to choose here we were born mores the pity at times! - to ride as a Brit. Way to support your country folks.....Tai wears a shirt to WORK as a mechanic and he's a traitor but it's perfectly okay to slag him off for the 'crime' of being brought up in another country.....twisted logic on the BSF as ever!

I wonder who screamed louder in the delivery room?! -
Fair enough Rob but, as has been said many times, the teams ALL know the rules before the meeting starts and part of the tactics is to know the rules and how to use them best to your advantage. The Poles did that today, the Aussies didn't...end of! Besides I've just seen an even more stupid rule in the British Superbikes that trumps the Joker! For those that haven't seen it during the first race one of the riders hit a bump and his back tyre came off the track, meaning he couldn't brake, and he banjo'd the leader and left oil on the track causing another 5 or 6 riders to fall and the race to be stopped. The race was awarded and anyone who had hit the deck (only one of whom was at fault mind) was disqualified for not racing at the time of the stoppage. Now I'm the first one to moan about speedway's rules but this is just stupid! However, it is in the rule book and everyone knows the rules so the result stands....a bit like the SWC!
