So pleased you said the British Champion. Because that's what he is, maybe not fantastic on the world stage but the best we have by a long way and will be for a few year yet.

Bydgoszcz Gp Tickets
pedropete replied to Mateusz's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Normally Sector A, Its a reserved area but as these seats have no cover in what a pretty poor stadium and are about £42 a lot of people might opt for Sector B unreserved at about half the price. When I say stadium is poor I do not mean the track, the atmosphere or the fantastic polish people who fill it. They also must be horrified at the ticket prices. Ped -
Thanks again.

Sorry hit the wrong button a couple of times. Totally disagree the track was a total disgrace, you cannot have ruts in the track like that. Your comment about Greg shedding a chain is strange. Yes he shed a chain, only after hitting a rut causing his frame to flex. How many other riders hit ruts and stayed on. It was absolutely shocking. For Hans and Tomasz to fall on there own is too much forget the rest. -

Great Post. We see stupid things like British fans with Swedish, Danish, USA etc flags and hats on. I cannot believe it, as you say we have to support the Brits no matter how poor they may be. I had my English flag with me at all times at Leszno. The polish people from Leszno although very fond of Leigh Adams, to a man had all Polish gear on. Nothing wrong with liking other riders but lets make Cardiff a sea of British flags.

It was daft but Fosberg hit the corner so slow. its hard for the rider behind in a GP race anticipating that. He should never have been in that race, pretty dangerous really.

Great News. No Mateusz, it was not done on purpose, I think we all know that. It was an awful crash though. I could not watch any more after that. Ped -

The reserve in Scottys race was totally dangerous. GP riders are geared to race, not have someone like Forsberg, hardly making the corner in front of him. A lot of riders would have ran into him on the 1st corner, thinking he was going to hit the corner like everyone else did. -

Hardly watched the last races. I just felt sick at the crashes. I love speedway, and hate seeing anyone hurt. tonight was awful. And yes I felt the same when TG hit the track, eventhough on previous post's I have said I think he was totally inconsiderate in the AJ incident. -

Good post. I am not anti Gollob at all, in fact if the British riders cannot win and normally they cannot I want Gollob to win. He had lost it tonight after his fall and then his race being stopped. Unfortunately he got it wrong and probably know's that. Come on you TG fan's be big enough to admit it was not good what he did tonight. -

Steve does leading mean you can totally take another rider out by blocking his line. Dont forget there are no brakes in speedway. It went against what the riders themselves agree. You should know that. -

Steve from someone as speedway wise as you that is a bad call. Gollob was out of order. If everyone rode like that there would be no speedway. They would all be in hospital. It was unfair riding. -

Totally agree. We have a lot of time for him in England, but boy was he bang out of order tonight. I just hope my many Polish friends dont start making excuses for him because there is none. -

Rico No problems Rico. We still made it on the sunday. As you gathered on the train to and from Gzniezno I love sleeping on trains. I must say you are a better navigator than my dad. We actually made it back to Poznan before daylight. It nearly wasn't daylight when our sunday finished but we don't go to Poland to sleep in hotel bedrooms. Roll on Bydgoczsz. -

Post by Ped's dad Trev. Cheers Mateusz it was great to meet you. Good summary although Nicki is not that bad. He could have fell off at Bydgoczsz when Gollob dived under him. That would have made him even more unpopular with you Poles if that is possible My thanks to the people of Leszno for making us so welcome. The atmosphere and live music on the Friday and Saturday night was fantastic, I think the whole town came out on the Friday night. My ears are still buzzing with the chants of Lee, Lee, Lee Adams. Also the number of people who offered us somewhere to spend the night rather than travel back to Poznan was amazing. It was after 3 on the saturday night / sunday morning when we got back to Leszno Station, and we were stopped from getting on the Poznan train by the Polish Police who were on the train. We then fell asleep with many others in the waiting room. I woke about 4 with a train pulling into the station, I woke Ped and we jumped on the train, fell asleep again and woke up at about 5.30 with the train pulling into the station. Unfortunately the station was Wroclaw, we had only got on the wrong train. Another ticket needed and another journey. We arrived back in our hotel in Poznan at 8.30. How is that for a mature sensible 52 year old. That's Poland for you. It did not spoil our sunday though, we travelled to Gnezno for a third division match with Rico, Dave and James. Big crowd and the racing was brilliant, much better than the GP. Rico much better at organizing the train journey's than I was. The day finished at 3 on the Sunday morning after a night in Poznan and someone from a rugby trip doing a streak round the square. Great day lad's thanks for your company. See you Soon. -
