Much obliged

Why didn't I think of that? Thanks Frenchy
-
Sorry, should have clarified... White City please

I hope someone out there has details of this National League meeting, as far as I'm aware the last time a Plymouth team visited Glasgow before this season...

Norman Storer didn't ride for the Lions in this KO Cup meeting and was replaced by T Swales, was it Tony or Tim? Looking forward to the Lions renewing their rivalry with the Tigers at Ashfield this year...

See this thread... http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=55984 It doesn't open during the winter, I think the first official opening in 2011 is April 24th

No problem - that's one of the advantages of being off due to the snow here in Glasgow... lots of time to look at old Speedway Stars

Cheers Steve!

Hi, can anyone provide the heat details for this meeting? The relevant issue of the Speedway Star had no information due to an ongoing industrial dispute... Thanks, David
-
Exactly what I was looking for - thanks very much
-
I'm hoping someone can help with the heat details for the following Glasgow meetings... Away at Scunthorpe on 16th July Home v Long Eaton on 20th July Thanks in advance...

Aye very good son! It's the best speedway museum in the world, never mind the UK! Ask some of the multi-World Champions that have signed the guestbook what they think about it
-
More than likely, it's a well-kept secret but well worth the trip
-
A pity no one replied to you Miss Tigs, but having visited yesterday before heading to Ashfield for the Tigers victory over that Embra mob, I can thoroughly recommend a trip to the museum, it's fantastic! Remaining scheduled openings this year are on September 5th and October 31st.

Sandman's correct - surname is Olivier and a South African, according to the excellent 25th Anniversary handbook regarding Glasgow produced by Ian Steel & David Thomson. Don't know when he was born though, that's usually a question for Mike Moseley
-
Neil had 2 seasons with Glasgow (92 & 97) and also rode with Wolves
-
Cheers Salty I recognise/remember 5 of the Weymouth riders, but do you know the first names of Jones & Evans? Regards,
-
I've checked all sources available to me & I'm stumped - what were the line-ups (with scores if possible) on 29th August 1977 when the Wizards lost 38-40 at home to Glasgow? Thanks in advance

I think #6 is Mark Courtney
