  1. After the Pirates shock away result at the home of the Lions on Saturday. Leicester will be looking for quick revenge with the return fixture at Wimborne Road on Wednesday. Hans Anderson being a former Pirate will be a threat then add in Nick Morris and Kyle Howarth and the Lions will be up for the fight. Can't remember if Ryan Douglas has ridden at Poole before or Zane Kennedy. I don't think Dan and Joe Thompson have ridden there either. Tough match to predict. I am sure that Poole will not let complacency set in and will be determined to pick up 3 more precious league points. Let the battle commence. Thoughts?
  2. Thanks for the praise Robinh88. I didn't expect to get anything last night. Leicester are a top side and we will have to be on our guard on Wednesday as the Lions will be looking for revenge. I thought the meeting was full of action and close riding. Leicester is not the best race track for passing but all in all there were some decent heats.
  3. Well that was the shock of the season.Leicester's 3 year unbeaten home record finally broken. A truly awesome result from the Pirates who were up for the fight from heat 1 throughto heat 15. Danyon Hume you are a star in the making. All 6 riders including guest James Wright gave their all. Now travelling home with a happy Mr Shovlar. Up the Pirates.
  4. Coming up to Beaumont Park on Saturday to watch the Pirates take on the Lions Has been a happy hunting ground in the past for Poole but it will be a very different encounter this time and I expect a tough match. The Lions are in tip top form and are strong all the way through from 1-7. Let's hope the thunder storms stay away.
  5. On Wednesday the Pirates take on the Gladiators in the 2nd leg of the koc. With a 8 point lead from the first leg I expect Poole to finish the job at Wimborne Road. The main threat will come from Bjarne Pedersen and Jason Crump and I am sure that Zane Keleher will have a point to prove. Thoughts.
  6. Here comes the forum trolls. Grow up children. The constant sniping at anything associated with Poole Speedway brings out the worst. Kindergarten mentality.
  7. Coming down to the Plymouth Colesium on Tuesday to support the Pirates in thier quest for league points. I am sure it won't be a easy meeting, particularly as Poole have had a victory down there in the cup and the Gladiators will be out for revenge. Hope and pray for a dry sunny evening and 15 entertaining heats.
  8. I was Impressed with Leon Flint and Kyle Bickley last night. Both were fast out of the gate and also they were competitive in all their rides. The problem for Berwick as has been mentioned is the top end and second strings. You started off brightly and kept the score line close however towards the middle part of the meeting and heat 15 you had no one answer.
  9. Very impressed with the streaming of the meeting tonight echo Steve Shovlars comments on the professionalism of the presentation. Well done to the Tigers you have a solid looking side and a star in the making in Jensen at reserve. There was some great racing as the meeting got going and plenty of passing. Disappointing from a Pirates point of view but losing Rory didn't help but I think Glasgpw would still have won regardless. Look forward to seeing the Tigers down at Wimborne Road later on in the summer.
  10. Looking forward to next week and the first meeting at home for the Pirates. I remember some battle royals with the Bandits back in the old national league days. Should be a good match , but hoping for a home win on the night. Any travelling Bandits fans making the long trip down .I guess that will be an issue with having to book tickets in blocks due to the restrictions on numbers allowed into the stadium.
  11. It's a real shame that this fixture wasn't rearranged for when the Covid-19 restrictions are hopefully lifted in Scotland and fans can be back at Ashfield again. I have been lucky to have visited the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium on several occasions and the track and stadium are a credit to Glasgow Speedway. I will have to settle with subscribing to watch the live streaming this Friday. Good luck to both teams. Fingers crossed the Pirates can put up a good show.
  12. Just got home from the trip to Arlington. It was great to catch up with old friends and importantly get to see an actual meeting. Great weather and a decent meeting apart from the result of course. Well done to the Eagles who came back and snatched the win at the death. We gave you a run for your money and concedering Ben Cook and Zane Keleher have never seen Arlington before it was a close call. Gates 1&3 in heat 15 gave the home team an advantage and once Lawson and Kerr gated it was all over by bend 2. Early days yet for all teams and look forward to the home fixture with the Eagles and hopefully revenge.
  13. Looking forward to the trip to Arlington on Saturday. Its been a few years since Poole last rode there and it will be a tough challenge. Weather is set fair I believe so its all system go. Hope to see a few Pirates supporters there if they have been able to purchase tickets..
  14. Thst post is totally unnecessary. Steve0.
  15. Commiserations to the Stars with the injuries playing their part In them missing out. Well done too the Pirates. To all the Poole haters on the forum.thanks for all the bile and nasty comments. You are not speedway fans.
  16. Another pathetic post from you e everything you post is complete crap.
  17. Hey Trees, I hope we make you guys sweat on Monday. Time will tell not expecting a big home win but we may need it.
  18. Next Monday the Pirates take on the Rebels for a place in the grand final. A two point deficit to pull back gives us a great chance however, with the Rebels having tasted victory already at Wimborne Road and running us close in the league matches, it Will be a tough encounter. Thoughts.
  19. Semion, don't know why you are complaining. You went there last night the oil was not on the track during the meating so to say the track was doctored is bizarre. There was lots of passing last night kings-lynn were spanked. Beaten by the better team so get over it.
  20. I probably took your post too seriously. I just wish all fans could stop hijacking treads and turning topics into a farce. Banter expected but it goes to far at times.
  21. You really are a tool DC2 whether you are trying to be funny or not. Best you worry about the lacklustre Robins. To quote you earlier on in the season. Glug glug.
  22. After a 2 week break the Pirates return to action on Wednesday to take on the Lions. Leicester have made 4 changes and will have track expert Scott Nicholls in their team along with new Signings JoshAuty,Stuart Robson and Conner Mountain and a return to Poole for Hans Anderson. Poole will need to be on their guard against the Lions as Hans and Scott could cause us problems and it will not be easy. My thoughts are that Poole should be to strong for Leicester and should win this by 10. Thoughts?
