Belle Vue Aces V Poole Pirates 03.08.15
Shaleshifter replied to SteveLyric2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well done to the Aces on a deserved victory but for Poole a below par performance from Noddy and Watt. We will cross swords a week on Wednesday where I think the Pirates will get revenge. -
Well after their convincing win at Monmore Green last night the Robins will be full of confidence ahead of the trip to Wimborne Road. This meeting of course will be focused on the return to Poole of Darcy Ward who of course is assured of a warm welcome from the Pirates fans. The Robins will pose a big threat to the Pirates and with a heat-leader trio of Ward,Zengota and Bachelor and a trump card at reserve in Charles Wright. The Pirates will need all seven riders to be at the top of their game if we are to turn the Robins over. Thoughts?

Well after last night's disaster at Monmore Green both teams will do battle again tomorrow at Wimborne Road. The Pirates were out battled at Monmore Green and will need to up thier performance. Certain riders are struggling for form from one week to the next. Chris Holder is struggling away from home and had a real bad day at the office last night as well as Dakota North with the solitary one victory and some poor riding in his other races. We need all 7 Pirates to be on the gas tomorrow and get revenge on the Wolves and collect some much needed points. Thoughts?

Hope to make the trip up on Monday (weather permiiting) to Monmore Green to see the Pirates go head to head with the Wolves. Wolverhampton have had a bad run of form of late but should not be underestimated and have already comfortably seen off Poole early on in the season. The Pirates will be looking to turn the tables on Wolves and pick up some league points but will have to be at thier best, so this could go either way. Thoughts?

The Pirates return to action on Wednesday after a 2 weeks break to take on the Hammers. After the two narrow away losses to Belle Vue and Kings Lynn we need to get back to winning ways. The Hammers will be no push overs and have had some good results over the last 2 weeks. The Pirates should win this meeting but will need to guard against any complacency and must see of the threat from the Hammers top guns and reserves to claim the 3 points. Thoughts?

Well with feelings still running high after the rain affected meeting at Brandon, the Pirates and the Bees go into battle once more. Coventry no doubt will be looking to get revenge and come away with their second win at Wimborne Road. Both teams are evenly matched but Poole should have Maciej Janowski riding instead of Richard Lawson this time around. Second strings and reserves could tip the balance and with Garrity and Sargeant going well Poole will need Newman and Starke to be on the gas. Thoughts?

Belle Vue Aces -v Poole "cheats" Pirates
Shaleshifter replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
This sums up what's wrong with social media. The fact that you can create a new topic and get away with using the word cheat in the title. Now that the meeting has been rained off there wont be 20 pages of slagging off Poole -
Well after a weeks break from speedway, Wednesday see the Aces arrive at Wimborne Road after an indifferent start to the season. The Pirates need to get back to winning ways after loosing to the Bees. The Aces have some decent riders and both Matej Zagar and Scott Nicholls know how to ride the Poole track. This could be won at reserve and both Kyle and Paul will need to take point of of Steve Worrall and Stefan Nielsen. Sticking my neck out i think the Pirates should win this won and collect 3 points.

Weather permitting Good Friday sees the Swindon Robins arrive at Wimborne Road for the now traditional home and away tussle with the Pirates. Poole now without the services of Davy Watt having crashed whilst practicing in Poland. This will be a close meeting and could hinge on the performances of the second strings and reserves. Not sure if Charles Wright will be fit to ride after his crash at Somerset last Friday. Thoughts on this meeting. Bring on the action.

your posts are not only offensive but are full of negativity you are calling Poole fans a bunch of clowns, yesterday slagging off Matt-Ford. The moderaters should ban you from this forum as your unpleasantness is beyond a joke Gavan. We can take constructive critisism but most of your posts are anyting but. if anybody is a troll then you must be at number 1. This forum is full of unecessary vile spitefull people who slag off Poole-Speedway whenever they choose. How many Poole fans gate-crash other topics and Rant?. The answer is not many if any, and dont bring Steve-Shovlar into the argument as he has stopped psting on here.

I am praying that you leave this forum for good. Another muppet post from you.

Typical response from you Gavan, you really are a sad person who has nothing better to do then post complete and utter crap. Did you go to Wimborne Road last night? I was there and both stes of riders did not want to ride. Also no track covers at Poole as the only set was at Blunsdon. Sorry but your post sums up all what is wrong with this forum.

Wednesday brings the second visit of the season of the Wolves to Wimborne Road. With all the internet gloating over Darcy-Ward i am not going start another endless and meaningless disussion on the rights and wrongs. Poole will need a good guest to cover for Darcy and Przemek as will the Wolves for Tai. The Pirates need to regroup and make sure we pick up 3 points on the night especially with Coventry on a good run and very much the inform team. Wolves cant be underestimated and could prove to be a tricky side to breakdown. Thoughts/

Poole Vs Leicester 20/08/2014
Shaleshifter replied to Tom Turner's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Understand where your coming from but this meeting has been in the fixture list from the start of the season. Leicester have chopped and changed thier team since and have signed danish riders who ride in Denmark on wednesdays. You cant help yourself can you with the constant attack of anything connected with Poole Speedway. Wolves are pathetic this season so you post needless tosh about the Pirates . Sad. -
Glasgow V Somerset Pl Sun Aug 17th 2014 @3p.m.
Shaleshifter replied to Paulco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Reading all the posting concerning the Glasgow team and lack of atmosphere at Ashfield is very sad. I was up in Berwick and Scotland over the weekend and attended all 3 of the Somerset Rebels meetings. The issue i see is that at Ashfield the facilities are very basic in a badly run down stadium that i believe has suffered several break ins and arson damage over the past few seasons. The promoters are not getting enough fans to attend due to several reasons. Firstly the adverse weather conditions over the season culminatong in meetings being called off, also a team that has miss fired more often then not adding to the fact that there is only a hardcore fan base. I read a few weeks ago in the Speedway-Star that James Grieves stated that when Glasgow left Shawfield they lost a lot of fans in the process. Would Glasgow be better supported if the sport returned to Shawfield Stadium? On a last note i enjoyed the meeting at Ashfield plenty of entertainment and some good close racing. -

Edinburgh V Somerset (pl) 15/8/13 @ 7.30pm
Shaleshifter replied to Mr Blobby's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Will be making my annual trip north this weekend and hope weather permitting to be at Armadale,Shielfied Park and Ashfield over the weekend. Good luck to both teams on Friday. Any forum members do come and say hi on Friday i wil have my Poole wulf jacket on so will stick out like a sore thumb. -
Tomorrow sees the second visit of the season to Wimborne Road of the Hammers. With the playoffs approaching this is a must win match for both teams. Lakeside have of course replaced Peter Karlsson with Kim-Nilsson who has had good meetings at Poole in the past - then add in Track experts Davy-Watt and Lewis Bridger should be make an interesting meeting. Last time around Richard Lawson was impresive and if Mikel Bech is available then Poole will need to be at their very best. The reserve races could be cruical so both Kyle and Benji should have some good scraps with Adam Ellis and Ben Morley but we need them to outscore them to give us a chance to pick up all 3 points. Thoughts?

Wednesday brings the second visit of the season of the Kings Lynn Stars to Wimborne Road. Kings Lynn were victorious on the last visit mainly due to thier big scoring reseve Lewis Kerr. The Pirates need to bounce back from Saturday's defeat at Arlington where one or two riders were well below thier best. This will be a tough encounter however, recentley both Swindon And Eastbourne have taken points off the Stars so they are not invincible. The concern for Poole is the drop in form of Pawlicki he was trying hard on Saturday but over riding caused him to fall off twice. Magic started well at Arlington but faded and Darcy had a fall. Josh was unlucky with his exclussion but he is dialled in a round Wimborne Road so hopefully will score more points. Brendon Johnson needs to score some points on Wednesday but will be up against Kerr and Rose. The plus is the form of kyle Newman who had a great win over Lewis Blackbird at Arlington. A big team effort is required if we are to defeat the Stars and claim all 3 league points. Thoughts?

Eastbourne V Poole Saturday 19th July 2014
Shaleshifter replied to SteveLyric2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Coming down for this meeting tonight and here's hoping the weather gods behave. This will be a tough meeting for the Pirates especially now Lewis-Blackbird is available to ride. Hopefully with Poole able to get Eddie-Kennett in does give us some hope. On another matter lets hope that the Eagles can survive behond the current season to loose any track is a complete disaster and the sport cant afford to keep losing tracks. Lets hope for some good news on this. Most of all here's to a great evening of speedway. -
Made my first visit ot Central-Park on Monday to see the action. very impressed with the stadium and facillities but i thought the track was under watered too slick and did not create good racing. Witht the rider replacement in operation this had too-many delays which as already mentioned led to the meeting over running and ended farcically with heat 15 not being staged. Central Park should be staging Elite-League racing or at the very least premier league.
