  1. Well said. I've never known a sport care so little for its fans.
  2. Think Edinburgh have got a decent chance in this one, considering Jenkins isn't setting the world alight at the moment and Oxford are weakened with the guests. Monarchs should easily have enough for the bonus point at least.
  3. Amazing how many forum members with Belle Vue or Aces in their username are unable to see the downsides from last night! You'd think - being Belle Sue regulars - they would have actually gone to the Grand Prix. If they had, they must have had a far different experience than me. I couldn't get into the stadium, missed the first few heats and it was near-impossible to get any form of food or drink - not to mention those who were also sold tickets for non-existent seats. Not knocking the racing though, which was superb, but the facilities and organisation were awful. Nowhere near what should be expected at this level. Basically we need Belle Vue's track inside Cardiff's stadium.... alas, never going to happen. Belle Vue has bags of potential if done right, but last night was not enjoyable for a lot of people. Not sure all those watching on TV appreciate that.
  4. Funny.... where did you hear Rushen was a done deal? A few murmurs at Leicester tonight that he's quite keen on one of your main rivals.
  5. He was very impressive. Although neither Bailey nor Cairns really got close to Maksymilian Pawelczak.
  6. He was very impressive. Although neither Bailey or Cairns really got close to Maksymilian Pawelczak.
  7. Did you not watch it last year, when he finished second - ahead of William Cairns?
  8. Still early days, but it could be a battle for top spot. They certainly look like two of the stronger teams (along with Glasgow).
  9. Sorry, I think you misunderstood the words 'facts' and 'source'. Got the attendance figures? I'd especially love to know those for the ones that haven't even taken place yet. Lol
  10. Got any facts to back up that claim? Where is your source? I strongly suspect (but it's my opinion, not fact like you're claiming) that more people watch speedway at Oxford than at the NSS, considering they stage many more meetings and appear to have comparable crowds.
  11. I spoke to Cooper Rushen and his dad at Leicester press and practice day. They both stated they haven't given much thought about 2026, although did say somewhere southern would be a preference - mentioning both Oxford and Poole. Of course, ultimately depends who offers contracts, etc., so who knows?
  12. Support a team that were champions 2 out of the last 3 years and illiterate, or support a team that are favourites to win this year and literate. I know which I'd rather be.
  13. Do Poole have one? If they do, I'm not sure they've been using it right.
  14. You're all arguing over something you know nothing about. Has anybody seen Cairns' contract? I doubt, so it's impossible to say whether he's getting paid loads or hardly anything.
  15. Absolutely, I completely agree. But - as other people have said - he's surely worth the risk on a 4/4.5? How many active Grand Prix winners are available on that sort of average?
  16. You're not very good at comparing people of similar ages are you? 😁
  17. Fair point. But you've got to feel a big signing is on the way.
  18. Not really. Eric Cantona last played professional football 27 years and is 58. Peter Kildemand last won a Grand Prix 8 years ago and is 35. You're entitled to your opinion, but I look forward to him proving you wrong!
  19. Surely signing a former Grand Prix winner on a 4.5 average (if true) is anything but a terrible signing.
  20. That's got to be one of the weakest reserve line-ups I've seen at this level for a long time.
  21. Cooper Rushen turns 15 at some point next year doesn't he? Remember seeing an interview with him in which he said he'll sign for a first professional team in 2025.
