King's Lynn Stars 2025
SaddlebowRoad replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
rowe has gone elsewhere s lambert would only work with a big scoring number one and we wont be getting one of those. itll be a solid team with a far better rider than simon at 6 -
you have raced a speedway bike i havent however id argue that making the gate and having fresh air (board scraping or not) is quite different to being in close proximity to others entering bends if youve had a recent crash involving others it could make a rider reluctant to mix it when riders get close to eachother id argue that balls and confidence can be two different things

2025 GP line up/wildcards
SaddlebowRoad replied to eric i's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
the pzm need to grow up -
adam allott averaged ten at lynn and around four away while riding for the stars at lynn he generally made good gates and would beat the leagues top men by quarter of a lap, he was small and light and very quick but away from home and even at lynn when he didn't gate he could lose to the worst number sevens as hed just shut off into every bend very frustrating rider

Vinnie Foord - is he too dangerous?
SaddlebowRoad replied to BackInTheDHSS's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
someone has said it was the same part of the straight where masters was turning one could argue that scott was in front and can turn when he likes within reason -

i presume you are a parody account as the air fence is one of the best innovations speedway has ever come up with -
Vinnie Foord - is he too dangerous?
SaddlebowRoad replied to BackInTheDHSS's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
he has lots of speed bravery and aggression, seems to me that he needs a mentor to help him harness that and remove the dangerous side because as its stands he is a danger to others and that mentor needs to advise him on his off bike behaviour too as some of that stuff last night was unacceptable and not befitting of a professional speedway club but underneath it all could be a very good rider in the future if the right mentor can be found -
i do wonder if this is being overplayed a bit unless im mistaken its one meeting a week on a Thurs for polish telly and id have thought that can be worked round if ive got that wrong then @racers and royals will correct me and at the end of the day its only 12 regular home meetings per side the problem will come with rearranged fixtures I guess but that is where mr morris comes in to get the two governing bodies working together more

time will tell a lot of things lynn related there is an unbelievable amount of absolute rammel on this thread will ne nice for the team to be named so that people can whinge about that rather than stuff that isnt and wasnt ever going to happen -

good luck getting that team under the champs points limit its only about 15 points over i think we saw at the end of last season what can be achieved with a solid line up, add a heavyweight reserve to that and a bit of luck with injuries and things could go well i just dont think a big name number one is likely for a number of reasons -

because hes ridden for us before because he is excellent round lynn because leicester might need to let him go to get under the points limit and at the end of the day these kinds of threads are about predictions/ wishlists / speculation and essentially having a bit of fun i dont think anyone would be surprised if he remains a lion but you never know -
disagree he has underperformed this year he would start on just under seven after the brit reduction and would stick at least a point on that with poole as a home track imo
-
too many bv riders went awol that night at pboro worralls wright and etheridge got a paltry thirteen between them we'll never know what difference kurtz hans and ulrich would have made but it felt like pboros name was on the trophy that year and that they deserved it

most sensible people recognise that hes good enough to be included in what should be the best fifteen riders in the world its not a popularity contest -

the question has to be why on earth did he have the opportunity to manipulate things like that and why would the draw not be made once everyone had qualified, absolute bizarre -

well done BV well done to those who sorted the track from a neutral point of view the final has been a damp squib over the two meetings but thats not bv's problem -
its whats best for them as riders and i think doing other things would benefit them riders outgrow our second division all the time and new ones come in to take their place douglas and basso did it last year pickering following suit its just the way it is they will all be in the premiership so not lost to british speedway
-
i agree I think they both need to be broadening their horizons beyond the champs they have outgrown it now and would be better off in sweden instead where they would learn and develop more
