  1. good luck getting that team under the champs points limit its only about 15 points over i think we saw at the end of last season what can be achieved with a solid line up, add a heavyweight reserve to that and a bit of luck with injuries and things could go well i just dont think a big name number one is likely for a number of reasons
  2. he has said that riding over here improved him overall he indicated at the end of the season that hed like to return but we shall see
  3. because hes ridden for us before because he is excellent round lynn because leicester might need to let him go to get under the points limit and at the end of the day these kinds of threads are about predictions/ wishlists / speculation and essentially having a bit of fun i dont think anyone would be surprised if he remains a lion but you never know
  4. disagree he has underperformed this year he would start on just under seven after the brit reduction and would stick at least a point on that with poole as a home track imo
  5. foord is a decent prospect but really needs to concentrate on doing four laps
  6. too many bv riders went awol that night at pboro worralls wright and etheridge got a paltry thirteen between them we'll never know what difference kurtz hans and ulrich would have made but it felt like pboros name was on the trophy that year and that they deserved it
  7. most sensible people recognise that hes good enough to be included in what should be the best fifteen riders in the world its not a popularity contest
  8. more of a lead than i expected oxford to achieve but i fear it wont be enough words fail me re heat twelve
  9. the question has to be why on earth did he have the opportunity to manipulate things like that and why would the draw not be made once everyone had qualified, absolute bizarre
  10. embra fans have been known to hold long grudges tbf not liking a rider aint grounds for excluding them from the series doyle not really my cuppa but hes easily still one of the best in the world full stop
  11. well done BV well done to those who sorted the track from a neutral point of view the final has been a damp squib over the two meetings but thats not bv's problem
  12. its whats best for them as riders and i think doing other things would benefit them riders outgrow our second division all the time and new ones come in to take their place douglas and basso did it last year pickering following suit its just the way it is they will all be in the premiership so not lost to british speedway
  13. i agree I think they both need to be broadening their horizons beyond the champs they have outgrown it now and would be better off in sweden instead where they would learn and develop more
  14. id be looking to get play offs completed before kids go back to school personally should be achievable with 12 home meetings (less in div 2) then run cups/trophy in sept & oct the trouble this time of year is that tracks struggle to dry out with shorter days and lower temperatures massive gaps for teams before finals isnt good
  15. rumour has it hes already signed for one of the truplant clubs
  16. nope strength in depth for me with a reserve who can win heats 2 12 and 14 in any case kvech would probably end up at 1 and increase his average significantly i don't believe the budget is there for a big name number 1 or the desire for anyone not riding here already to come over and if we were lucky enough to get cook he has a fair bit of improvement in him too
  17. absolutely agree but they are the guys who have been riding the track and using the gates so their choices are based on what theyve done that night, there will always be a reason if they make a crap start people seem to automatically blame the pick rather than a poor reaction etc
  18. id not turn my nose up at that however id have thought basso or lawson are more likely than king
  19. i don't think it is, lambert & bewley have recieved criticism for recent picks but for me you just need to make a good start whatever gate you are on, easy to blame the helmet colour rather than the rider
  20. jan could very well qualify from pardubice on friday
  21. lets not have a go at our own though, hes been very good this year sometimes i think familiarity can breed contempt on your own track if it's not the same as usual and im not sure tonights result has too much bearing on next season really or anyones mindset tbh
