  1. well done BV well done to those who sorted the track from a neutral point of view the final has been a damp squib over the two meetings but thats not bv's problem
  2. its whats best for them as riders and i think doing other things would benefit them riders outgrow our second division all the time and new ones come in to take their place douglas and basso did it last year pickering following suit its just the way it is they will all be in the premiership so not lost to british speedway
  3. i agree I think they both need to be broadening their horizons beyond the champs they have outgrown it now and would be better off in sweden instead where they would learn and develop more
  4. id be looking to get play offs completed before kids go back to school personally should be achievable with 12 home meetings (less in div 2) then run cups/trophy in sept & oct the trouble this time of year is that tracks struggle to dry out with shorter days and lower temperatures massive gaps for teams before finals isnt good
  5. rumour has it hes already signed for one of the truplant clubs
  6. nope strength in depth for me with a reserve who can win heats 2 12 and 14 in any case kvech would probably end up at 1 and increase his average significantly i don't believe the budget is there for a big name number 1 or the desire for anyone not riding here already to come over and if we were lucky enough to get cook he has a fair bit of improvement in him too
  7. absolutely agree but they are the guys who have been riding the track and using the gates so their choices are based on what theyve done that night, there will always be a reason if they make a crap start people seem to automatically blame the pick rather than a poor reaction etc
  8. id not turn my nose up at that however id have thought basso or lawson are more likely than king
  9. i don't think it is, lambert & bewley have recieved criticism for recent picks but for me you just need to make a good start whatever gate you are on, easy to blame the helmet colour rather than the rider
  10. lets not have a go at our own though, hes been very good this year sometimes i think familiarity can breed contempt on your own track if it's not the same as usual and im not sure tonights result has too much bearing on next season really or anyones mindset tbh
  11. loads of dirt on last night, why why why take most of it off for tonight
  12. fantastic news its the best track in the world imo just hope the regular people are allowed to prepare it and that tickets are reasonably priced
  13. depends on the points limit but i think we need to aim for a better senior reserve than those suggested somebody who really shouldnt be at reserve a bit like pboro in 2021
  14. its not a case of releasing him riders are self employed and will ride where they want to
  15. fricke seems to be either brilliant or rank there is rarely anything in between frustrating rider and to think some folk made a fuss when kurtz was chosen instead for the son final lol i know who i would rather rely on when it comes to the crunch
  16. bit of a damp squib really but that's not bv's fault, they just got on with it as a neutral hopefully leicester make a strong start on thurs to keep it interesting
  17. lol masters rode tight when he should have gone wide earlier then wide when he should have stayed low just then
  18. somebody at some point suggested lawson kvech iversen basso klindt harris and a rs (jenkins maybe) and id bite your hand off for that would not get beaten at home and be very competitive away
  19. lol we had some good guests and some who struggled but the whole point is that the team put out post musielak and his facility expiring were solid with a modest number one and strength down the order whether with our riders or guests and the irony is that some of those guests might be in the team next year essentially not spunking loads of money on a world star doesnt mean a lack of ambition. in fact building a team with harris at reserve for example would show some
  20. no idea if you are serious or trying to stoke up discussion however id say that those who go to lynn regularly have the ambition of seeing riders turn up every week and the club not get dicked around by the likes of laguta, jakobsen, museilak and tarasenko. to be represented by riders who put lynn and the uk first lets not forget we won a lot of home meetings this year through 'strength in depth' ive seen a team suggested with bomber and jenkins at reserve and a solid top five who all ride lynn well and that is quite exciting, realistically a big name number one probably isnt happening and that might not be a bad thing up the stars
