  1. yeah thats kind of what i meant by the end of the season he could be the best if he develops as he could imo edwards jenkins & flint have possibly peaked and mulford & hagon arent as good kileen could also be the top rs if he carries on his trajectory
  2. you dont need to be afraid i think most lynn fans are pleased with him signing he potentially has the highest ceiling of the 7 if his shutting off issues can be ironed out
  3. i mean if he can average ten at lynn like allott did id take that !
  4. quite agree @Arch Stanton has been vocal about this and i agree, let riders go where they want but dont dress it up or pretend that its a draft when it aint id imagine every club is happy with their rs anyway
  5. going by what @siggysigalos has said elsewhere on this thread lynn & birmingham wanted jenkins but he wanted to stay at ippo therefore the 'draft' isnt really a draft at all
  6. i guess the theory is that one of those would be accompanied by a 8/9 pointer at 1 but its quite clear that the club hasnt been able to sign that kind of rider and will be going with a top six with less than a point between them instead personally i think the clubs priority has to be to sign a team who will win the majority of home turn up every week and have an affinity with the paying customer and the mooted team would do that i believe
  7. of course he'll be a weapon in all likelihood he will take all the reserve rides after heat 8 and although he is past his best now he is still one of the very best in the championship and rode most (all?) of last season as a heatleader in the prem he shouldnt be a reserve but would be because of the way lynn are going to build their team which is the best way for the club and its finances most importantly hes bloody good to watch and as a paying customer id be delighted if he signs also in all likelihood the number six will be different every month which is quite mouth watering if the top five is as suggested it will be a powerhouse reserve whoever it is injuries permitting of course and surely we are finally due a bit of luck in that regard
  8. completely agree feels like the time is right for them both to put their time into other things and riding better riders more often
  9. everything is speculation until its announced is it not
  10. kvech? would be astonished if he didnt improve on his starting figure if those seven are the team im more than happy for the doubting thomases to write us off much rather that than be highly fancied
  11. depends on your definition of 'technical' if its how difficult it is for riders (esp away ones) to get the set up right and ride the correct lines then id say bv is technical in that respect its generally not a particularly easy track for away riders to score points on because there are so many lines
  12. once again not a case of 'letting riders go' as they will take up the offer they choose as self employed tradesmen that said i agree that lawson is highly likely to stay at leics due to being settled and the commute
  13. poole are interested in anyone on the right average ie one which can be added to
  14. i think rumour is the key word there these same rumours about harris lawson and cook were around this time last year and none of them ended up at lynn so until they are announced i remain sceptical
  15. absolutely agree with the tight and or narrow ones, its no coincidence that the wider & faster sweeping tracks such as bv worky redcar scunny and glasgow provide the best speedway nowadays
  16. not sure there would be any 'letting' involved if magic ends up at lynn or elsewhere itll be because he has chosen them over oxford for whatever reason same as rowe going to sheff as i suspect lynn would have preferred to keep him
  17. would he fit? cant see him leaving ox but you never know
  18. i think most of those who moan about it would be folk who dont actually go people who do and saw how well we finished the season against some top sides will be pleased
  19. i think it would have every chance IF we can keep a settled team for the whole season or at least the vast majority of it as its absolutely rock solid the mooted side would be very powerful at home competitive away and always have a very strong reserve BUT needs to avoid the unavailability issues which has dogged the club over the last few seasons
  20. away average scores sheff 43.75 leics 43.42 ippo 42.42 bv & ox 40.58 lynn 39.08 brum 39.00 home/away diff: bv 10.75 lynn 8.25 sheff 7.83 leics 6.91 ox 6.71 ippo 5.58 brum 4.58
  21. to be fair my calculations were regular fixtures only so play offs would reduce leics & sheff and increase bv the ippo point is a good one another angle on the home advantage thing is the difference between home and away average scores might look into that when i get 5 mins
  22. back of a fag packet calculations of average home scores by team in 2024 sheff 51.58 bv 51.33 leicester 50.33 ippo 48.00 lynn 47.33 ox 46.75 brum 43.58 doesnt tell the the whole story but a good guide nevertheless
  23. every track has some home advantage id argue BV has the most
